I would never recommend this store to anybody. In fact, I would give it 0 stars if possible. The customer treatment that I experienced was far below any standards of civility. Upon walking in, I received a warm greeting that quickly turned into a rude and belligerent tone. Here is a vignette of my horrific shoppers story: The inventory is nice--however, you will be treated with a lack of courtesy and spoken to as though you are burdening the store. My wife and I went there earlier this evening to purchase some jewelery-making supplies. When we asked questions, we were answered with a question. We were spoken to with great impatience despite the fact that there was only one other customer in the store, and made to feel like "trouble-makers" in very innocent situations. For example, when we attempted to use our store credit, she said that we were not allowed to use store credit during the holiday season. I questioned this reason in a very tactful manner by pointing out that there was no indication of this anywhere in the store or on the store credit slip, and received the blunt response of "You are rude," while pointing her finger at me. I understand that every store has the power to grant credit and "specials" as they wish, but they dont need to berate their customers. To finish the story, we walked out. But not before she tried to hide the credit slip under the counter, and we had to ask for it back. Human dignity is worth more than how we were treated at Friends Lapiday and Jewelers.

Hello, When I first read these earlier reviews it surprised me that some of them were abrasively negative toward an employee of this jewelry establishment. Anyhow, since I had a jewelry need I thought I would at least give this business an opportunity to earn my business in the event these reviews were tainted or not applicable. When I entered the store (which has now since moved next door from the original location) I was greeted by a friendly chubby cat and a smiling male customer-friendly owner named Jerry. Jerry gladly looked at some of my jewelry pieces and acted extremely appreciative when I paid him for his very competitive services. He went on to elaborate that at the previous next door location of Friends Lapidary & Jewelry there had been some instances involving a former female employee that could have handled better but now that individual has since moved on. In summary I personally felt no pressure to purchase anything in this store and truly felt that the current owners attitude and agreeable showroom environment had succeeded in meeting my jewelry needs. Going forward I would rate this business as an A+++ type establishment. fyi, from an objective customer

This jewelry store will never get a recommendation from me but for everyone stay as far away from it as possbile. My sweet mother was spoken to as though she was a thief coming to rob the store rather than just coming to pick up her repaired items. Not only was she in tears upon leaving but so was my son who was out for a fun day of running errands with his grandmother. The lack of courtesy and rudeness blew my mind. The lady behind the counter actually started screaming at one point when my mom asked an innocent question. If you value your sanity, decent customer service, and a sense of security do not visit this store!! I wish that negative stars was an option on rating this business!!

I went to this store a couple of years ago and was helped by a less than friendly lady as well. I noticed they moved next door recently so I stopped in to check it out. I was pleased to learn the lady was no longer there and the new management was as nice and helpful as one could hope for. They helped me find a pair of earrings for my sisters birthday (which she loved). I would recommend this new Friends to anyone.

I bought my wifes engagement and wedding rings here. Jerry helped me design something unique and crafted a beautiful work of art. His prices are extremely competitive for the skill he has and the work he puts in. He is a wonderful gentleman and I cant recommend his shop highly enough.

there are no words to say just how awful this woman is. and i thought i would spend my hard earned money there, no way, not ever and she needs to find something else to do. rude!!!!!!!! on a scale from one to ten, minus 10

Not sure where the negative reviews are coming from, but when I stopped in this week they were very helpful. they were nice people willing to go out of their way to see if they could find something for me.
