I purchased a brand new Chinese Roketta 49 cc. moped from Dans Pawn Shop in Lexington a few months ago. He offered ZERO warranty on it. That was my first mistake. A friend highly recommended I take it over to Moped International on Versailles Rd, for the standard 1st 500 mile service. Garrett, the owner basically told me these bikes were a piece of s***. I thought he was just trying to upsell me on one of his mopeds, but it turns out he really was giving me some friendly advice from his past experiences with them at his shop in the back of the showroom. Well, HE WAS RIGHT!! The engine blew at 1100 miles. OMG….. wtf...!! (coincidentally, my neighbors engine blew 3 days before mine. And yes, you guessed it. Same brand moped!) Well, Thursday when the engine blew, I hauled it over there. He gave me the option of putting a new engine in it, or of upgrading to a new moped. Initially I turned him down, but after some thought, i decided to hear him out. He told me that he would give me a "once in a lifetime deal" (his words, not mine) because he thought I was doing “good works” as a volunteer in a service related industry. Well, i cannot thank him enough, because he truly did give me an AMAZING deal!!! I didnt know what i was going to do, because i had to have a way to get to my work. Well he made all that and more possible for me, and worked within my budget. This new moped is awesome and he was right, there is really now comparison between the two. I left his place realizing that he genuinely cares about his customers and the quality of the mopeds he sells. Plus, I already knew he does top notch service work on the bikes. Thanks again Garrett. You made my whole year!!!

I bought a "new" blue tao tao this July for my birthday. The owner of the shop showed me their options of course and the blue tao tao was just within my price range because he was in a "good mood" and would bring it to $950 and if you know what I wish Id known about tao taos youd know thats a pretty bad deal considering they can buy them around $400 brand new from dealers themselves. So I pay in full for this moped before I brought it home and within the 30 DAY warranty it flat out didnt even make a noise to start. We flip back the battery case and there was corrosion coming through the screws before you even open up into the battery!! Wtf right? Well they fixed that on the house and told me it was because I had it in my front yard under the sun? Im sorry but every moped Ive ever seen is outdoors stored most of the time and doesnt fully stop working in 15 days because of it from brand new condition. So they fixed it it worked maybe a month after that and has been downhill since. now Ive replaced the "improved" battery they had to fix the first time cause it was a little piece of nothing and the carborator CDI and minor other pieces that had to be fixed. IT STILL DOESNT WORK. And I refuse to take it back to them to risk it being messed up more. Im now getting it fixed in town where I shouldve bought from in the first place. DONT MAKE MY MISTAKE.

I came in with high expectations for a moped. However, less than a month later i completely regret purchasing a moped from here. I paid a down payment on a used scooter that had to be fixed. After waiting three days, I was compensated with a "new" scooter. This supposedly new scooter broke down within a few weeks of owning it and i was charged 150$ for repairs only for it break down the same day it was supposedly fixed. They will give you discounts in order for a 5 star google review so do not be fooled by the good reviews. I tried to get a hold of the store to get my moped fixed and left several messages only to receive no call back until I called again several hours later. Honestly it is one of the worst places I have ever taken my business and I have regretted it every step of the way. Do yourself a favor and buy a moped else where

I purchased a scooter from Moped International a few weeks ago for my son who attends UK. I wanted a used scooter. The guys working were very knowledgeable about their scooters. Garrett told me that he wasnt a good salesman but by the time I left there after test riding a used Chinese scooter he convinced to buy a new Roughhouse 50cc scooter. They even took me to drop it off to my son and delivered a lock to use while a new one was ordered. I am sure that they will take care of us in any problems arise. I would recommend buying from Moped International.

I was treated so well and received great service. I didnt know a lot about mopeds when I went so I didnt know what all needed to be fixed with my moped. Not for a second did they that advantage of me with my lack of knowledge and instead they educated me and made sure I knew how to take care of it properly. Several things needed to be fixed with my moped as well and it was fixed in about an hour. Overall I had a wonderful experience and the people were wonderful, entertaining, charismatic and helpful.

I absolutely love this moped shop! I got a great deal on a preowned genuine buddy 125 cc from very knowledgable staff. They threw in a lot of freebies and made sure I left happy. He drove my scooter home for me and came to my place of work to drop off my plates. If you need to get insurance, have him set it up for you. The insurance he gave me is a huge bargain compared to other things I found on my own.

I had a wonderful experience at moper international. My scooter needed a new belt and hadnt been running real well. As soon as i showed up to the location they got started to work on my baby. It now runs great and is a joy to drive thanks to Moped International. I highly recommend this establishment for all you maintenance needs. THANKS GUYS!!! NATHAN ROBINSON

I stopped by the other day and explained I needed a new scooter, something faster. I was ready to pay for an upgrade, in cash! Instead, they talked with me about my old ride (a 50 cc moped) and what I could do to speed it up. None of which involved parts or accessories they sold! They just wanted to help, gave me some advice, and sent me on my way!

Garrett, went out of his way to pick up my E-ton Beamer 2, in Georgetown and bring it to Lexington. By picking it up for me I got it on the road four days sooner. Instead of selling me a brand new scooter he suggested giving mine a complete tune up instead. My scooter is running great.

Meghan Polly, never returned the scooter for any other work beside the battery. As far as a CDI and Carb we would have taken care of the problem had she address her preventive maintenance.
