PLEASE...read this before you go to Powder Keg. I purchased a new 2013 110th anniversary trike from them in March of this year. They couldnt have been nicer, ringing the bell, taking my picture!!! They rushed me through the signing of the papers and the music was so loud I could not hear myself think. I somehow agreed to all the "additional" warranties and prepaid services. Out the door spending almost 47,000.00. Had a problem shifting when test drove but was told it was because it was new and tight. Took it home and when riding had a lot of difficulty shifting. They came and picked up the bike and took it back to have it looked at. They "adjusted" the linkage and brought the bike back. Still had the same problem. Now it is August. I washed the bike getting it ready to take up for the 1,000 mile service. I had to ride it just to get it up to 999 miles when I took it to them. After washing the bike I noticed all three tires had turned a milky white and the rims looked tarnished and pitted. When they looked at it they were baffled by the tires and rims. The tech rode it and agreed that there was a definite problem with the shifting. Smitty looks the bike over with us and says...you will get a new transmission and 3 new tires and rims he noted that I had purchased a separate tire and wheel warranty. It is under warranty and you also have the tire and wheel warranty. He said you are a VIP customer and will get top priority. After keeping the bike 3 weeks they let me know they would do nothing that the bike shifts fine and the tires rims are not covered!!!! They brought my bike back. The driver scraped black top as he was unloading it stripping the finish off the custom exhausts I had them put on day of purchase!!!! I then noticed scrapes on my seat. We called and asked them to fax copy of sign in sheet and guess what....after taking at least 2 hours to do so the sheet came and they had circled the seat noting scratches!!!!! That was not done the day I took it in. They are nothing but liars and will not take care of their customers!!!! The service department to me is a joke and so is the service writer...they play a game till they get your money then they couldnt care less about you. Personally I think Powder Keg should be put out of business. It would save customers a lot of grief. I will not let this go!!! So be warned before you buy from them.

I purchased my bike here in February looking for a good deal. I thought I got one and then I bring the bike back after riding it twice for a strange noise. The salesman (who I assume was fired, Ive not seen him since) thought I was crazy and over reacting. They fixed the problem which was a loose component in the airbox and were in good standing with me. This is where things go sideways. I hit a piece of road debris and took the bike in. They replaced the tires which were damaged and some other components. I noticed the check engine and battery light came on after I got the bike home, brought it back the next day. They kept the bike overnight and CHARGED ME ALMOST $100 diagnosing the bike and putting it on a tender overnight. I talked them down to $50 and still felt I was robbed. Two more times the same warning lights came on, and they kept the bike for many days each time. My first Harley, my first new bike, Ive had roughly four or five of the six months Ive owned it. I was not pleased. The last time I picked the bike up I rode it to the Shell station a quarter mile away, filled it up, rode it seven miles to my apartment and noticed that the bike was HEMORRHAGING fuel!!! They wouldnt pick the bike up that day, and said theyd pick it up the following morning. In the meantime five gallons of fuel poured out of my bike and I had to buy $40 of cat litter to clean it up. Good luck getting powder keg to pay for that. Apparently what happened was that the moron who replaced the rear tire didnt tighten the drive belt within specs and the belt was rubbing on the gas tank and bore a hole in it. I was riding around on a leaking gas tank, and could have skidded out in a turn, or erupted in flames if someone pitched a cigarette, being maimed or killed in the process. They replaced the gas tank, and didnt even give a damn to fill it up when I picked it up. I hope that they get a new leader, new culture, and new staff so this does not happen to someone else, someone who isnt as lucky, someone who can be killed by their incompetence. They should have worked harder to get the job done safely and correctly, or at least work harder to make it right.

My boyfriend went into the powder keg and bought a battery for his Harley-Davidson. We then began having problems with the bike. We took the battery back they said it was just fine. He had to take his bike to the repair shop and the mechanic said all the problems we were having is because the battery was too small. He replaced it for us and when we tried to return the battery to Harley-Davidson powder keg they told us there was nothing they could do because the battery was still good, even though it was the wrong size for our Harley . They would not give us an exchange for another product or a credit. They did absolutely nothing for us so now we have an expensive battery sitting around the house. We will never be a customer of theirs again. If they cant even give you the right battery I definitely dont want them working our Harley . Definitely wont be buying parts there either considering this. Ive never been so disappointed with customer service!

Purchased a new 2015 Street Glide here. Sales staff was extremely helpful. Good selection of bikes on the floor. They rolled 2 brand new bikes off the sales floor for me to test drive. No questions asked they did everything possible to be sure this was the bike I wanted. They were willing to negotiate with me on price and financing. I wound up paying exactly what I expected after researching this bike for months. Sales staff and managers respectful and not over bearing. I went back later to purchase a helmet and their accessories people were charming and brought out 5 different helmets in different styles for me to try on. Again helpful, good hard working people. Most recently visited their parts counter and again helpful smart people that knew part numbers and what they had in stock and what needed ordered. They provided me a quote on a number of different setups and printed me a parts list.
