I dont dislike this hyvee or hyvees in general, but this location has very rude employees from the customer service department especially..! There is 2 rude ladys 1 older that has been employed for numerous years, the other is a prob middle aged blonde heavy, with a few tatoos on her arms and wrists I believe.. the deli and retruant type areas seems like your Interrupting their task they are doing, and they want to get you in-and-out its fastest possible so they just walk up and the couple times Ive needed something they just say whaty do you want. Or if im browsing trying to decide what I need they just stand there and just look at you while youre trying to decide and if you ask them a question If something is good or not I always get Ohhh havent tried it or its OK... These Are the things that make me not want to return but its hard when something is on a really good sale.. So I bite my lip and deal with-it. I have to deal with the public dailey In these situations so if I have to with the best customer service I can give, i want and expect the same..

Matthew M, an over-night checker, went above and beyond his job when I asked him for an escort to my car tonight. I dont usually go to the store that late (midnight) and was a little shaken-up when another shopper kept watching and following me. When I got to the checkout, I asked Matthew if it would be any trouble for an escort to my car. I quietly told him that a stranger (who by that time was lingering in the aisle closest to the open checkout) appeared to be following me. Matthew immediately paged someone. As it turned-out, that person was on break, so Matthew personally walked me to my car and waited while I got inside and locked the doors. I appreciated this very much, as the stranger walked out of the store not 10 feet behind us. You can go anywhere to buy groceries. Its the people that really make a difference. Thank you, Matthew.

Because this Hy-Vee is the closest grocery store to me, I tend to shop here A LOT. However, I never buy a single item without checking the expiration date. This store is HORRIBLE with expiration dates!! Sooo frustrating...and not just a day or two off the expired date. Sometimes months! It also doesnt matter what department - produce, shelf items, cheese, milk, meat - you name it. Just be careful. Also, if you need to shop at night, which I often do because of my job situation, LOOK OUT FOR BOXES! The night crew is always on a frenzy to stock the shelves, which I appreciate, but the night crew acts as if the customers should just get out of the way. They can be very rude, so if you dont need to shop at night, DONT!

Friendly staff, great selection. This Hy-Vee is close by, so it has the advantage of being extremely convenient. They recently changed their kitchen counter to the "Hickory House". They now provide a larger selection of smoked meats and a lesser selection of white meats and fish now. Plus, their sides are more fixed on a daily basis versus the variety that they used to serve. Please go back to the old kitchen. If I want smoked meats, I will go to one of the local bbq places of which there are many. The health section has an excellent choice of organic foods. This is probably the best thing about this Hy-Vee. Their produce is good, but the selection and quality is a bit better at Price Chopper in Roeland Park.

I love this store to DEATH, Ive always had good Customer Service from the employees but i can truly say i had a TERRIBLE experience, my daughter always takes me shopping here, and one day we went through a young ladies lane named BRETINA oh my! was she very rude i smiled and even asked how her day was going? she completely ignored me, as if she didnt want to be there and turned all her blame on me and when she finished ringing up my food so rough and unpleasant. I still told her "you have a Blessed day" and she just looked at me with a blank stare for a second i thought i did something wrong, i just dont feel comfortable going to this store anymore. (I guess Price Choppers it is for me)

Hy-Vee does an outstanding job at creating beautiful wedding cakes. Not only are the cakes delicious, but they are pieces of art as well. I was stunned when I saw what a beautiful job Brenda did making out 3 tiered cake with a flower petal designs in the frosting. It turned out exactly like the picture I showed her from pintrest. The team can decorate your cake however you wish, which was unexpected for a grocery store bakery department. You can even get multiple flavors such as, red velvet or carrot cake! Hy-Vee cakes are beautiful, delicious, and affordable. Whats not to love?

Very upset me and my lady friend were there chucking corn and the selection was getting scarce and there were 5 brand new cases sitting right next to the bin so we were picking from there then all of a sudden this elderly AFRO AMERICAN just took the cases and started walking off Then made the comment (you guys can pick from there) so I guess were suppose to purchase defective produce .I bet if we were black he would of hand picked it for us SHANNON the store manager ( who is a very nice guy) needs to take a closer look at these afro americans that work there THEIR VERY RACIST

Great supermarket! I usually just run in on my way home from work to grab a few items. The parking lot is usually full,although VERY clean, but it is clean and has ample handicapped, veterans, and expectant mother parking. The handcarts are usually gone, but there are plenty of full size and regular carts. Also this store will use bags you bring. The aisles are wide, clean, clearly marked. Store employees go out of their way to help find items you are looking for. The checkout lanes are quick and are about 75% open, so there is no standing wondering why only 2 lanes are open.

Extremely slow moving. Staffs are always friendly but its always frustratingly slow. Coming in to grab lunch during work day, and experience extremely slow service on multiple occassions. Worst part, they put the slowest person in the 10 items or less lane. It was so slow that I switched lanes, waited for an entire cart of groceries to be rung up and paid for and still got out before the people in front of me at the 10 items or less lane. As all retailers should know better, customers dont like to wait. They want fast and convenient. Hope to see improvement.

The bakery assured me they could help me with some very basic sheet cakes for my wedding coming up. I only wanted them to add vanilla bean from pods, that I would purchase for them and some instant coffee flavor to the icing, but because they couldnt find a box of batter with everything already mixed in, they decided days later that they didnt want to be bothered with something out of the norm. Its not a difficult thing to do, and if it wasnt my own wedding Id bake it myself. This to me is deceitful and lazy.
