This location of Hen House has an extensive section of kosher groceries as well as a kosher deli. Its the best selection in town now that there arent any independent kosher grocers, butchers or delis in Kansas City, as far as I know. I picked up some Passover supplies today, and they had a very good range from a number of manufacturers, both domestic and Israeli. I also got a big jar of Israeli onion soup mix, which is very handy for making pilafs and flavoring a variety of dishes. There were many other interesting and useful items, including kosher cheeses. Whether or not you keep kosher, this is also a fine general-purpose supermarket with an excellent array of groceries. Thumbs up! (The previous poster is correct -- the map shown in wrong. This market is at 117th and Roe, on the east side of the street across from Town Center Plaza.)

Been going here for almost a year. Was happy at first. Not sure what has happened, but the quality and selection of produce has gone down considerably during this time. Peppers are usually gnarly now, and I dont think theyve carried habaneros for months. The spinach I got today was covered in mud and (despite rinsing as much as I could) tastes like literal dirt. I think weve finally had enough, and will be going to Price Chopper instead from now on. Shame. The rest of Hen House is actually quite good, but you can get boxed goods anywhere (and for much less.) I just need quality vegetables since I actually cook regularly.

Typically I like this store except for the fact that it is always extremely busy and theres nowhere to park since the remodel. I ordered a cake for my daughters birthday and picked it up today. It looks like crap! It looks like a five-year-old wrote on it. her name is squished up in the corner it legible. Its not the right color and I told them I needed a four-by-six space to put a photo in the middle, they did not leave enough room for the photo! The party is hours from now and I am tracking down a new cake all over town, extremely unhappy right now!

This is one of my favorite grocery stores for many reasons. First of all they are in a fantastic location, the store layout is new and fresh, and the employees are the most helpful. I will say that the prices can be a little more expensive but its worth it for the great service and convenience. The Herb Roasted Salman is amazing and the fried chicken is so crispy. The salad bar has an excellent selection and always looks clean and well maintained.

I love the food court options, starbucks, the dining room, bakery and freshly ground nut- butters! There are always lots of kombucha options, also. I dont have to go all the way to whole foods anymore! I will say this though, the smoothie I ordered was made by a sweet young man who didnt know how to make a snoothie lol. I Love HH!

Large store, clean. Has various hot food stations, a salad bar, chicken wings, and olive bar. Even has a fresh smoothie bar. Prices can be higher if products are not on sale, but sometimes there are good deals.
