Highly do not recommend Bought a 2005 Volvo V50 from this dealership a few months back. The car was in great condition other than the failing front rotors and some severe damage to the headliner. I do not recommend negotiating with this dealership. Find a more reputable dealership that wont screw you over. I negotiated with their "we owe" policy that the front rotors and headliner would be fixed correctly only to have them fail on both accounts. I didnt even want to work with them on their we owe policy. First, I tried to negotiate $1000 off of the price so I could do the work myself but they wouldnt take that as an option. So, on I went with signing the paperwork. After about a week of driving the car I noticed some things going wrong; the contractors that they work with to fulfill their "we owe" documentation were sleezy and unreliable. Do not negotiate with their we owe policy. Heres what happened. I ended up paying 1100$ out of my pocket because the upholstery shop was careless with removing the headliner board. They failed to detach the harness and even drilled through the wiring in my vanity mirror. This caused a variety of electrical problems in the car. Because of their failure to secure the harness back down it left exposed non-grounded wires shorting out and blowing fuses. I ended up taking it to a certified Volvo Dealership to find all of this out. When I confronted All-Star about it when picking up my title they blamed me for wanting to rush the work when I didnt even need the car finished for 3 weeks. Isnt that crazy? Salesman bullshit. Furthermore, they failed to calibrate the front brake pads after replacing and resurfacing rotors. This isnt an issue, if you are fine with having squeaky breaks every time you switch gears. However, any reputable mechanic wouldve taken the time and labor to calibrate them - which makes me think that the dealership ordered the mechanic not to, just to save some cash. I shouldve stuck with my instinct and never bought a car from this place when I felt uncomfortable about the cliché car sales tactics and staff and saw the rest of their inventory, not to mention the scantiness of their facilities. Do not buy a car here unless they are holding you at gun point. They suck. Also, take all of these positive reviews with a grain of salt because they offer $50 gas cards to anyone who gives a positive review within a week of buying the car. Classic.

Drove down from west central iowa to look at a 98 z24.. car was advertised as excellent condition.. when we contacted the dealer we were told it needed nothing.. pre test drive we were told by the salesman that the cars ac was inoperative and that the passenger window was "funny".. the window was funny because the entire passenger side had been in a collosion.. from fender to quarter, the whole surface was covered in bondo and still had a rough grit feel to the finish.. upon opening the passenger door we found a welded in jamb from a donor car.. we knew this because the paints didnt match.. the area was sealed off using bathroom caulk.. the trunk didnt want to see to close.. assuming from the collosion damage.. after a few times of trying to gently shut it i found home apray foam insulation in between the rear bumper and the support.. this car was no where near the condition it was advertised.. since the car was price right at the nadaguides clean retail mark we were embarrassed to even make an offer.. the salesman asked us to "cut to the chase" with an offer and i made a realistic offer for the vehicle based on its now obvious condition.. he left to go ask his supervisor if that would be an exceptable offer.. i knew already it wasnt but we drove 4 hours one way just to see it.. he returned and said they could take $100 off the sale price.. this car was a huge disappointment.. but not nearly as disappointing as the last thing the salesman had said to us.. "please understand that its about graduation time and some high school kid will buy it for the advertised price" WOW.. i have never heard anything more ethically disgusting from anyone in the auto industry.. buyer beware.. staff was friendly so i gave a 2 star rating.. im a gm asep program graduate and an ase certified mechanic.. this review was meant to be very fair and not some biased complaint.. hope it is helpful

Called about a suv listed on Craigs list & they set a time to meet with me at my convenience. Was disappointed that suv wasnt as loaded as ad suggested, but Sean was very patient in explaining how that can happen so I didnt feel duped. When we got ready to take it out for a test drive it wouldnt start. He jumped it, but it wouldnt stay running. He apologized profusely & immediately took it in to their service center for a new battery. I came back later, took it for a test drive & felt it was the vehicle for me even tho I really hadnt seriously been considering a newer car or didnt have to have one immediately. Got a fair offer for my trade in, got the paperwork done in a timely manner & out the door the same day. No high pressure, & arranged the things I asked for. Jennifer in financing office very polite, friendly & professional. I have to admit though, disappointed in detail work. Its my brand new car to me & hadnt been detailed very well. Wax was still on driver door, crumbs in console, sticker residue on the window, car looked like it hadnt been washed before I took possession, etc. However, owner came out on his own, without me saying a word & got sticker residue off with a razor blade & when I mentioned detailing, he told me they would take care of it when I came back for an additional appt. I have with them. Pleased with that resolution. It was a pleasant experience overall & I would recommend them.

Last week I posted a review in regards to my 01 Ford Explorer Limited Editions Air Conditioning getting repaired, and here is my update status on that. I still have no AC, but someone over at All Star Auto is checking into it for me. They read the not so positive review I posted, and stated that they do not just give $25 gift cards for good reviews, but for any posted customer review, and than told me they would credit my account $25 for my review, which is cool, but I would rather it go towards getting my Air Conditioning fixed. lol. Oh, and my radio volume button doesnt work, and my backseat passenger doors dont open from the inside, which I wasnt aware of until last week on Memorial Day when my passengers were trapped in the car at the cemetery. SMH. But, overall the car does drive good, and I got a pretty good deal on a used older modeled vehicle. Hope, and pray I can get my car fixed this week, and once again I will post each week on the status of my car until it is fixed. Wish me luck, and good luck to you all.

First of all, I would like to say that I do like my car. I bought it yesterday and I hope everything pans out. The following is in regards to the sales process itself: Id give overall friendliness of the staff 8 out of 10, however I had two concerns: 1. First, the salesman said he would include a spare tire and fix the mirrors on the car, no questions asked. So when we started negotiating the price and he tried to include the tire and the mirrors as part of the negotiation, I did not think that was fair . 2. Second, before I agreed to come in and make the purchase, I asked him what the interest rate on the loan would be. He said it was 5%. The day I come into sign the papers for the car he told me the interest rate would be 8%. When I reminded him that he told me 5%, he just said sorry, he got the numbers/cars mixed up. Not cool. I needed a car right away, so I went through with the deal. I may be a bit old school to a fault, I believe that your yes should mean yes and your no should mean no.
