Went to the store yesterday with a question about cellular phone service. I was placed on the waiting list, and after waiting for over 30 min was eventually moved up to the next-in-line position. Looking up about 10 min later, I found myself bumped down to 6th in line, and then a couple minutes later, 8th in line. I approached the employee who put me on the list, and she mentioned that it was because of a flux of incoming, scheduled appointments (not walk-in) and there was nothing she could do. Then, after asking to talk to her store manager, she walked into the back and did nothing to assist in my request. So, I approached another employee who appeared to be the manager, and was told the same thing, without any concern for the situation. Now, I understand for something like this to occur if I had been waiting for only a short period of time, but to wait for over 45 minutes to then be bumped towards the end of the waiting list is unbelievable, and poor customer service. Even if people have appointments, those that have been in the store waiting for such a long period of time should also be accounted for and assisted in a timely manner. I have been a loyal customer with Sprint for over 15+ years and have never felt so frustrated, upset, and demeaned by their service. Especially after leaving the store and going to the shop located in Valley West Mall, and having my issue resolved in 5 minutes. Given this recent service and lack of concern, I am considering canceling my account (4 phones) with Sprint and moving services to another cellular company. It also makes me question whether this was a racial issue, as I am a minority and I feel this might have played a part in how I was treated. I have already told people about the poor customer service I recently received at this store, and how it reflects upon my opinion of Sprint as a company; and you can be certain I will tell more people, along with filing a formal complaint.

After waiting3-4 minutes at the sign in desk. I was placed in queue for service. 5th in line. I waited 45 minutes watching the queue screen. When I finally reached second position. my name was bumped to third and then after waiting another 15 min. I was removed from the board entirely. I found the Customer service rep. to find out why this had happened. she told me she could not find me so she had bumped and then removed me. There are only two benches in the store and I was sitting on one of them. Hard to find? I then was placed next in the queue and then waited another 20 min. apparently sprint is eliminating all nextel towers. I was not informed of this by sprint. I expressed my frustration and was told by another rep who was chit chatting with various employees. "If it makes you feel better we just found out they were removing the nextel towers." and that I could buy a new phone for the sprint network if I drove to ankeny because they hadnt recieved their shipment of replacement phones yet. Ultimately I ended up leaving the store with my non functioning phone. a wasted trip and waiting took two hours. good thing i postponed lunch with my fathers day lunch!

Hands down worst customer experience Ive experienced EVER! Do yourself a favor and avoid this store (and carrier) if possible. I stood in the doorway over 30 minutes without even being acknowledged. Then an employee came over condescendingly asked if I really needed to talk to someone, encouraged me to use one of their phones to try and take care of my problem. After another hour of waiting I finally got to sit down with a representative and they refused to help me. They tried to con and sell me items/plans that I did not need. I was provided a solution from the phone rep I talked to while waiting (per the store reps initial recommendation) and the in-store representative would not grant me the same solution!!! He even turned his screen around where I pointed out the notes that the phone rep wrote down stating our agreed upon solution... I left fuming and went to another carrier in the same shopping center, was greeted right away, helped me transfer service - AND SAVED ME MONEY!!! Do yourself a favor and avoid Sprint. I regret my over 10 years of loyalty with this company.

This Sprint store has always been (my experiences go back almost 5 years) the most dreaded place I have ever had to visit. We have a commercial account with them (although we only have 4 users - no one else in the company wanted to work with this particular network or local service!) and I am required to use them for any or all problems when dealing with my cell phone. They sincerely do not CARE about the customer and so it doesnt bother them that they do not know what they are doing. Seriously. Do not expect any time to be spent with you, no extra help (if indeed they help you at all) and most importantly, DO EXPECT RUDE SMUG TREATMENT. If you do not have Sprint, please dont just take my word for it (look on line, at their very own network facebook page and at reviews) spend some time and look at other companies. What might look like a "good deal" is NOT. I am a very nice, give-em-a-break" if you can type person and I just say to anyone - YOU DESERVE BETTER!

My review comes after repeated attempts with this location, and after multiple, disastrous encounters, Im forced to warn others. I brought in a phone that does not make calls. Every single call will not connect. I was told A) The towers were being worked on B) that every one else I was calling was dropping the call, and C) that this is normal. I live in a house with 4 other Sprint users who have no problems whatsoever. My phone dropped calls inside the store! When I talked about upgrading to a model that would function I was met with a younger sales lady who was condescending, incredibly rude, not knowledgable on any of the phones, and when I had picked a phone I liked and had researched, told me I was wrong. Not that the product was bad, but that I was ignorant for picking it. I left the store without buying anything and will not be back. The customer service is atrocious. There is a distinct reason this is the worst Sprint store in Des Moines.

I am not a Sprint customer, but was having a strange issue where multiple Sprint customers were unable to reach my business phone line. I spent a few hours trying to resolve this issue on the phone with my phone provider and Sprints customer service hotline. It was determined an issue on Sprints end...but each person I talked to refused to help me because I wasnt a current Sprint customer. As a business owner, it is frustrating to know you could be losing business because people cant reach your number. I visited this store location to try to get some help in person and Jaron R. and a tech consultant (Keelee, I think) were very helpful in providing me & my customers with a plan to resolve this issue. There were multiple other people in the store and I was helped quickly even though I wasnt purchasing something. I dont write reviews often, but thought this deserved a public expression of thanks.
