If you need something thats already in store, this is a good location to get it. However, if you need to special order a product and have that install then things get a little, shall we say, confusing. I wanted to get some wood laminate flooring from the store. They didnt have it in stock, so I had to order it. Thats fine. I asked how much install would be. I was told it is $0.89/SF. Thats a great deal, considering I didnt need a huge area done. I had to schedule someone to come out and measure for the amount of flooring needed. Fine. I get a call about 2 days later (on a Thursday) from a HD service center or somewhere and the lady tells me they can schedule me for a Tuesday or a Thursday. I tell the woman that the coming Tuesday would work. Well on Tuesday I get a call, not to confirm the appointment, but to let me know they dont have anyone in the area that day. So measuring got pushed out another week (since Thursday was already full). The guy comes out and measures and adds the 10% extra (this is standard if youve ever installed flooring). Total footage comes out to 248.6 square feet. Two days later I get a call from another service center with my quote. The product was $1.49/SF. I figured with the flooring and install and tax it would be roughly $600. The woman on the phone tells me its going to be $2800! I ask her why and she starts breaking down the prices. They were going to charge me $2.50/SF for install. The $0.89/SF for install is only for 250 SF or more. Fortunately (and this has been the only highlight of the process so far) she was able to add another 2.5 SF of flooring so I got the install price I was originally quoted. This took down the price significantly. However, they still wanted to charge me for delivery, carry-in, removal for old flooring, moving appliances, moving "large furniture" (a small table and chairs). I had explicitly told them, when ordering, that I would do all that stuff myself. After all was said and done I got the price down to my original estimate. I went to the store and paid and was told it would be up to 10 business days for products to arrive. I called after about 8 days and asked if they happened to be in. Great news! My flooring was in, but I couldnt pick it up until the next day. So I called the next day to let them know Id be picking it up. Oh, but wait, not all the product was in. Only the transition pieces were in. "Well call you when the flooring comes in." Right. Three more days pass and nothing. I called and asked if my flooring had arrived. "Yes its here," Im told. I ask "So why did nobody call me?" I was given some lame answer that it had just come in the night before, blah blah blah. So I ask them "OK, so are you guys going to call your installers to schedule with me a time to install the flooring?" They tell me yes. Its been 3 days since this happened (I called on Monday 6/19 and its now Thursday 6/22). They never called. Ive had to call them and I even called the installer. I was told someone else schedules installs. So its been over 3 weeks since I ordered my stuff and I still cant get them to schedule an install. Im having to do the legwork to get stuff done. That seems kinda backward. When I ordered carpet from Lowes 1.5 years ago I had NO issues with them, whatsoever. They came and measured the day after I let them know I wanted carpet. The carpet came in in about a week and they had it installed about 3 days later. I will never use the Sioux City Home Depot for installation of anything again.

We went there today out of the 30 people or more working, 2 asked us if we needed help. 1 was an older gentleman who always ALWAYS asks every time we stop in if we need help & gladly shows us the way...the other man was a blind gentleman who was very happy and helpful & funny :) at one point we stood by the check outs looking at discounted shelving units looking around for help because several things were not priced. i tried to drop a hint at one worker to come over & he kept walking by. probably 10 people walked past us while we rubber necked to make it obvious we needed help. service here sucks despite the 2 great men who actually did help us. goodness!

One of my worst experiences related to purchased items and home remodeling services for our kitchen.... Wrong orders. Incorrect measurements. Lack of staff knowledge. Wrong delivery dates. A project management component that is anything but project management. Etc., Etc. Home Depot is primarily focused on commercial / contractors services. I would highly recommend that if you are considering home remodeling contact local / community resources (building materials, cabinets, contractors, etc.) first! In many cases, you will find these local folks are less expensive and more knowledgeable in helping you get the job done right in a cost-effective manner.

I was around the store for 45 minutes with a couple items in hand. After getting everything I needed I headed for the register. After my items were rang up, I was told they were TOO CHEAP to sell them to me. They rang up at the price they did according to THEIR system and I was denied the opportunity to purchase them. The on duty manager informed me that they were clearance items that could no longer be sold because she would get in trouble. Maybe you shouldnt have them on the shelves then. Glad I could donate almost an hour of my time helping to pull items from your shelves for you.

Went online to their website to find item. Showed in stock at store, so went down to find. Upon arrival find out only display model left, cant order, no box, no manuals, and display model isnt in perfect shape. Still offered to sell to me as is- asked what price would be for display model as is. First they stated full price then backed down by $10. $10 is not a big discount for a $300 item that has no warranty, manuals, etc, especially after having to push for even $10 off. Left shaking my head and heading over to Lowes instead.

06/13/17 worst experience I ever had with Home Depot, bought a wrong side of flange nuts, went back in for a really small exchange, younger customers service lady was rude, unfriendly said I didnt even buy my nuts and bolts and just freaking took my stuffs which I bought literally about few hours ago. Just a cheap small stuff and cant even handle it well. Worst staff ever. If I can give a negative star for her I would.

My online order was ready quickly and customer service was not as busy as it often is. Therefore I got my ordered quickly. My only complaint is that I was told that there is no way to get my military discount on online orders. There should he a way to have this discount included as a part of my account.

Small electric tools ,bits, screws, all smaller hardware need to be located together. I was on crutches and had to make numerous trips across the building for things I needed. The labeling for items arent listed on both ends of the isles.
