Ive always had good experiences with this store ( classes, shopping and one other grooming experience with Ashley) however yesterday, after taking my sweet golden retriever in to have her tummy shaved and minimal grooming requested, I will not be back. When I called the week prior the woman that answered in the grooming department, was not friendly and somewhat abrupt ( that should have been my first clue). When I brought Lola in, she was quite scared, even shaking , and this same women , Diane, stated, she worked with goldens and would get to know her and was like a "dog whisperer" .....really??? After picking Lola up and walking down the isle, a women stopped me and proceeded to tell me that she had observed the groomer being "unkind" to my dog and she suggested I never allow this women to work with my dog again, she continued to say that it upset her so much that she reported it to the store manager. I turned around and let the other groomers know what I had just heard ( of course Diane had already gone home???) the store manager listen then stated that he had talked with the groomer and that my my dog had "separation anxiety" according to the "expert groomer" and that she had to lift my dog on to the grooming table, really??? MY dog was anxious, nervous about this grooming experience , NOT separation anxiety! All they had to do is call me and say it wasnt working out and I would have gladly come back and pick up Lola, SHE DID NOT DESERVE TO BE TREATED CRUELLY! I dont care if if you have good grooming technique , if you arent kind to animals you SHOULD NOT BE a dog groomer!!!!!

I have never had issues with Petsmart before, but today I took my black lab/husky mix in for a deshedding bath and a brushing that would remove the loose fur. This dog is the biggest baby in the world. He was abused when he was younger until I found him about 3 years ago. The appointment was for 3:00pm, I showed up at 2:40 and left him with the associates. They asked all the normal questions including if he was aggressive, I told them he was a baby and would be more afraid than anything. We were told that he would be ready around 6. I thought 3 hours was a long time, but I knew he had a lot of fur to go through. My husband went to pick him up at 6 and around 6:30 he was home. As soon as my dog walked through the door I knew something was wrong. He looked exactly the same, there was only 1 spot on his hip that actually looked brushed. He was timid and ran straight into my legs to be cuddled. I looked at my husband and he told me they had clipped his claws and gone too short. One of his claws was cut to the point it was pouring blood. Not just a little nick were it just starts to bleed, but enough blood to stain his foot. So, not only did I pay $54.00 for my dog to be tortured and away from his home for 4 hours, I also paid for him to look exactly the same and shed just as bad. I honestly dont think I can go back there and trust them with my dog.

Sunday at 20min to 6PM I walked into the grooming department to get my dogs nails trimmed. First thing I noticed was a bunch of young girls grooming 2 dogs. Not one real adult in the room. Second, I was turned down getting my dogs nails trimmed because they "stop doing that at 30 minutes prior to close." Third, there was nothing posted anywhere that stated this on the glass or walls that would have let me know this ahead of time. I wont be giving them my business again. I got turned down for a nail trim thats never taken more than 5 minutes at any time Ive been in there which has been quite a few times. Lets be serious here, a bunch of young women who just want to get out of there as soon as its closing time. A corporation that cares about the almighty dollar and not one bit about the public who is the source of their business. Theres another great business across the river in Omaha that isnt some greedy chain that hires a bunch of uncaring kids as employees and I will now go out of my way to give them more business. I already by my quality Taste of the Wild dog food there. Best prices around. Remember, people, to read negative reviews because businesses can pay companies to give them good reviews! PetSmart I hope others catch on to your uncaring business model and see people as customers and not revenue.

My dog was groomed at Petsmart yesterday and I requested that they not clean his ears due to allergies or use the shampoo they had used on him the last time we got him groomed. I also asked that they not shave his tail. I returned 2 hours later to pick him up and was told that wasnt ready as the groomer claimed she does 2 dogs at a time. I have never had to wait more than 2 hooters. Nearly 4 hours after I dropped him if they called to tell me he was ready. When I arrived I found they had shaved his tail and cleaned his ears. They charged me an additional $7.00 for the use of oatmeal shampoo but dont believe they used it as his stomach is as red as a tomato today and his itching is constant. Very upset about this experience. Dont they know I can buy an entire bottle of oatmeal shampoo for that price and now I will have a vet bill because of the allergy.

Do not take your puppy here...the groomers r unreliable...they call in sick for a 7 a.m Saturday appt which they confirm at 5 p.m.the day prior...but yet the 2 of 3 they have come in r so overwhelmed with someone elses scheduled appts and walkins that they take 5 hrs to trim your 10 lb silky but at the same time get too close to her eye lids that now she just may have an eye infection...get it together Petsmart..sooo lost our business...rediculous...DO NOT GO THERE FOR GROOMING YOUR PETS...THEY R HORRIBLE...oh...and the store stinks..sho8uld have been my second clue...BBB is my next step

The customer service was the best Ive seen! Was shopping for birthday gifts for my son and daughter. I had barely walked in the door and was greeted by their staff. I want 100℅ on what I wanted to get my son to replace his turtle he has when he was younger and I was directed to the neon tree dragon. There were two little guys left and the price couldnt be beat! I went to Petco just to check before I made my final decision and they were rude I was at Petco for 45 minutes and greeted and they had 5x more staffing... Needless to say I went back to PetSmart.

Never take your pet to Lake Manawa in Council Bluffs to be groomed. It wasnt busy today and the groomers did not notice me. What I saw made me sick, a cute little dog was jerked around by its face and its legs. It was doing nothing wrong but the groomer had an attitude. Once a coworker saw me looking she said something to the abusive groomer and she quickly started petting the dog and loving on it. If you care at all about your pet, stay away from PetSmart.
