Its a bit of a drive for me to get to the local Hy-Vee, but you wont find a broader selection anywhere in Council Bluffs. Theyve got amazing selection of fresh produce, their meat department carries just about anything you could want, their sales staff are knowledgeable of the products they offer. Theyve also got a variety of quick and easy food services now available at this location, where you can get a number of freshly prepared asian dishes, a salad bar that offers just about anything you could want, and their prices are very reasonable and the Fuel Saver program is amazing when you take full advantage of it - where else can you get a great deal on your groceries and then only pay $0.01 per gallon on your gas to boot?

This Hy-Vee could be sooo much better, but the customer service is seriously lacking. If this store wasnt so close to my house, I would definitely shop somewhere else. The store is bigger, but yet the aisles are cramped, because usually they have carts of items waiting to be put onto the shelves, but the personnel to do this has disappeared. The cashiers obviously expect the customer to load the grocery bags back into the cart. What happened to full service? Council Bluffs doesnt have alot of options when it comes to grocery stores, but this store could be a stand out if they put the emphasis back on the customer. Their employees dont even look happy to be there. Wheres the "helpful smile in every aisle"?

When I went to shop with using my wic for the first time. Of course I got some of the wrong items. The cachier was very rude and didnt want to explain what items I had gotten were wrong. When the cashier manager came she was also very rude to my boyfriend and I stating we should know what we can and cant get! Im a first time user so this is all new to me, so I asked for some assistance and she stated that she wasnt going to be able to give me the help I need and that I need to contact wic and get my information from them! I WILL NO LONGER BE GOING TO THIS HYVEE BAD SERVICE.. I thought out of all places this store would have been the best, but I stand corrected!

Hy-Vee is my regular shopping spot for groceries! Store is clean (even the bathrooms), employees are friendly and helpful when you need something. Managers are always watching the length of the checkout lines and call extra employees to get on registers to keep the customers moving quickly. I have used the upstairs party room multiple times and always a stress free and very pleasant event. Hy-Vee staffs Council Bluffs police officers at night to provide safety to the customers and employees. Love the extra give a ways on Facebook and communication to the page regularly.

Customer service is great, store looks very nice. My only two complaints are the Hy-Vee chicken and lack of fresh produce - the chicken is fine if you cook it within 1 day of purchase. If you wait more than 2 days, it has a horrible smell. The produce is good most of the time, but some days I just cant find anything worth buying. Those things being said, I am very thankful that this store opened up. It is helping revive the area. Oh, and I love the fuel saver card - I save a lot on gas when I shop here!

Absolutely the worst service I have ever had at a HY-VEE! (or anywhere else for that matter) Waited in line for the three customers in front of me, then told I would have to move to a different lane to be checked out so he could run his "end of day" then he proceeded to check out the lady behind me! What the heck! Is my money not good enough? They can keep the groceries there are other stores in this town.

Good rewards program that rewards you with gas price discounts at the pump, allows you to clip coupons to your card makes it less of a hassle to use coupon, secret sales....love the whole idea of paying less for secret items opposed to regular customers....and best part the rewards program is free, their app is free, and the benefits are real!

This Hy-Vee location helped with the catering and flowers for my wedding. The food was fantastic! Our guests complimented on the food all night. The flowers were stunning. The floral department went far and beyond. Hy-Vee delivered both the food and flowers to our reception area on time. My husband and I were so happy with their service.

Its a clean store. Reason i didnt give all 5 stars is they must have a problem with routines. They are constanly changing the layout of aisles or my favorite...discontinuing your favorite items. The restocking of items is a little troublesome as well since they will fill the entire empty space with another flavor of the same product.

I am almost 9 months pregnant and forgot to order 2 sheet cakes for an event I was less than an hour away from starting. Sue and Ansley in the bakery put together 2 beautiful sheet cakes in the knick of time. They totally saved my day and I cannot say thank you enough! What a staff. They went above and beyond! Thank you again!!!!!

I would have given the store a 4 star rating but I dont care for their new restaurant at the 25th & Broadway store in Council Bluffs. Me and a friend eat breakfast there this morning and the food was ok at best. The menu items are expensive for the quality of the food. I dont plan on returning to Hy-Vee restaurant anytime soon!

Worst Hy-vee EVER. Who ever is in charge of placing products in the isles obviously doesnt go shopping there. Can never find what I came in looking for. Always need to stop someone & ask where I can find any product. Usually end up zig zagging repeatedly before finish with shopping list. Parking out front is always full.

Order the pizza. Cheaper than the big chains with MORE toppings since the bakers do not use a scale to measure ingredients. Stop in just before the deli closes (9:00 most nights) and get half price chicken and sides. If you are griping about the teen employees then you must not remember the days of your working youth.

Always clean and well lit. Seems as if the friendliness level of the employees have decreased. (their slogan use to be A helpful smile in every aisle. It should now be Eh, we are here.... Let me know what you want otherwise... Eh.) That being said, its still my favorite grocery chain in the Midwest.

Its a great store, with a friendly staff and management. The customer service counter is a bit narrowed and hectic, so they are a bit caustic, but overall a very pleasant experience. The prices are a bit higher than Wal-Marts prices, but the service and speed of checkout balances this.

Western Union has a somewhat long wait most of the time, but the staff is helpful and its always dependable. Theres always a large crowd, but the staff is quick as they can be and friendly. I only visit once in a while on road trips and I never have a problem finding things.

Its convenient, employees are friendly. If they dont have the item in the store they will give you a rain check that good for a month and sometimes they will sub the item with another item or they will extend the rain check if the item doesnt come in within the time frame.
