I just met a cashier named Ronnie. I was complaining about checking myself out. So he pulled me ocer to the other lane and he never complained like me. After i finished ranting he said the self checkouts were valuable to keep costs down. I said i dont mind that and its smart business. I hust dont like that my kids make me earn the money, shop, put groceriesaway , cook and clean up. Lol I began to talk to him about him. He said he works third for sonerhing to do because he is retired. I saw a flag patch. I asked if he had served. Come to find out this gentleman has sacraficed things i cant possibly imagine. So i can be a free American standing in his line complaining. I wonder if he knows just how valuable he is to me (the complainer) . He is a asset to our Shelbyville Walmart. I hope you guys take care of him because he takes excellent care of his country and now his community and customers. Thank him for his service!!

Clean as far as public places go. Everything is fairly easy to find and in a logical place, if you need help someone is usually not far away. Staff is always friendly, even when understaffed and trying to cover multiple areas at once. Usually pretty busy, so I dont recommend going if youre in a hurry. Has a Subway restaurant, nail salon, Woodforest bank, and Smart Style hair salon. Automotive does tires and oil changes but seems to have a lot of problems, so I wouldnt take my car there. No money center but customer service does check cashing, money orders, and money transfers via Money Gram or Walmart2Walmart. Photo lab does same day digital prints. Site 2 Store pickup area (located in back of store at photo lab- just follow the orange signs), they do have same day pickup for some items, but not the same day fresh grocery pickup some Walmarts are starting to offer.

Unfortunately they have most things we need. Seems we go there a few times a week. There are a few workers who dont always seem to want to help depending on the day. But there are others who try their best. A few years ago an adult worker hit on my daughter who was just 13, we complained but the manager didnt care... no apology... the guy still works there. Police said nothing was really done. I confronted the guy in the store and without him knowing who I was said "She told me she was,18!" Then threatened to have me arrested, beat up, banned from the store, etc. Then he ran to the front screaming for management. I calmly walk up and told management I wanted him to stay away from my family when we were in the store. Again no apology not even for the language he was screaming. Today he tries to avoid us. But its hard to go in there without feeling upset.

Store is always neat and clean. We have no problem finding an employee willing to help me or my husband if we need it. We live right between this one and the supercenter Wal-Mart in greenwood Indiana. 99% if the time if we are in Greenwood and its not at the Emerson and County line store, we go later in the week to the Shelbyville store and the item is almost always there. I have never had a bad experience here since it opened a few years ago so do not understand what the other viewers problems were (except for the trucker). Maybe they are just that group of people that think any person who has ever stepped foot in a Wal-marts should be skinned alive, hung upside down, finger and toe nails pulled out, and then disemboweled. Then again I rarely pay attention to those nutcases anyway.

Dont go during the day. Its crowded with people. Oh yeah, dont go at night, either. They line the aisles with products to stock on the shelves and you cannot navigate. Also, they have about 57 floor scrubbers going around and every employee acts like you are an inconvenience. Oh yeah, dont go at 10pm cause they are doing shift change and cant be bothered with customers. The issue is that Wal-Mart has become so self-important that they dont need to worry about customer service. The atmosphere is one that suggests you should feel privileged for the opportunity to wander their crowded aisleways. Wal-Mart is the McDonalds of retail. They dont care about customers because they dont have to.

This is a nice Walmart location. The staff are usually very kind and helpful and here recently the my have rearranged the layout of the store to make the aisles flow better. I do the majority of my grocery shopping here because they usually have everything that I need. Additionally, this location has been expanding its produce section and have a wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables. If youre looking for a one stop shopping experience that flows pretty well, Id go to this Walmart and enjoy the experience of new mini shopping carts, brand new self checkout aisles, and a wide variety of goods!

Its a typical super center. Very large and hard at times to find what you need. Staff is friendly but sparse. Overworked at times. If you need help they are hard to find. Lots of check-outs but not many manned and those that are have long lines. Self check-outs are the best bet if you are in a hurry with just a few items. Great grocery section but not as competitively priced as one would think for a super center. Local stores are often cheaper on some staples. Sporting good area is very good, pet supplies and electronics and house wares are all adequate. Overall an ok experience.

My family and I are driving back home, cross country, and we came in to get a swaetshirt for our son because it got very cold. There was nothing but warm whether stuff in the childrens department. I looked for spme help in the off chance there were some somewhere else. When I asked this woman for help she spoke to me like I was a moron and then literally yelled at me. As someone who has worked in customer service, it is the farthest thing from difficult to be helpful and, even if faced with a question not in your department, with respect.

The auto center was very unhelpful. We waited for over 20min to be helped while the employee sat on his phone. When we asked if we were going to be helped today the employee said "if you need an oil change all you have to do is pull your car up" well there are no signs saying this so how are we supposed to know that? He saw us standing there why not ask us if we need help? I highly recommend not going to the Shelbyville, IN Walmart for anything auto related.

Popped in to use the restroom. Front bathroom was deeply grimy and stunk so bad that i could hardly breathe. I ended up going to the back restroom. The grime was even worse, but the stench was just tolerable enough to get in and do my business. Both restrooms were easily in my top 5 for dirtiest restrooms i have ever been to. It wasnt even like they had just been messed up by a rush of people, more like years of slowly accumulated filth.

Its doesnt have the same inventory as urban locations, but I suppose its a supply and demand thing. You can hardly ever find help, but when help is found they seem friendly enough. Do not expect associates assigned to a department to be knowledgeable about said dept. Its really unfair of Wal-Mart to do this to their employees because it makes them look incompetent when It really isnt their fault. It does always seen to be clean though.
