Good coffee, very low price! My wife likes the Mocha Frappeccino drinks, which are 5 dollars for a small 8 oz cup at starbucks. But at the Java Roaster she can get a 32 oz cup of frappe for only 3 dollars! Awesome, granted it is about a thousand calories. They attract weird bands too. One I saw had a funny singer that made weird screaching noises, very alarming as I tried to sip on my latte, nearly spilled it! Also attracts old men trying to pick up young chicks, disturbing it is, sexual harrassment and social security checks all-in-one! WOW

I grab a black coffee or a mocha from the Java Roaster now and then as a treat. I like the coffee, better than the stuff the bank offers me for free! Nice folks, nice place to linger and chat, nice place to sit on Sunday and play some chess with my son, and talk with my wife. This has been a coffee fixture in Lafayette since 1996... .... keep doing what you do, I like the quite atmosphere and the go go java juice!

Went inside once after a couple of years of not going and found that theres new management. The new management sucks to say the least. They close at 7pm now or whenever they feel like it. The people that work there now are nice but at times seem like they dont know whats going on. They often get orders wrong or take a long time making a simple menu item. I miss the old Java Roaster owners.

Very nice coffee shop with reasonable prices and good coffee and tea! It can get a little crowded during peak hours but the seating areas very comfortable - regular chairs and tables as well as nice couches :) Havent really tried a lot of their desserts and meals but it all looks/sounds very yummy. Oh, free WIFI too! Would definitely recommend it for a study session or get-together.

My favorite little downtown coffee shop complete with best food choices in the city. Cant go wrong here, plenty of options and friendly service. The place is small but cool and cozy. Parking can be tricky and one ways make for a challenge. Best to make time during a down time and relax with a BBQ Chicken Wrap tuned with caffeine beverage.

This is my favorite coffee house in the West Laf/Lafayette area. Ive been coming here for years and have finished countless hours of homework at this place. That said, I enjoy Java for the atmosphere. Everything else is good as well. My parents, when they visited, always enjoyed the blueberry coffee cake. Its also a good spot for a date!

Not sure how I feel about this yet, the woman working the next time was pretty rude and made a point of correcting me on how I ordered my drink... like the reverse of the Starbucks cliche. They do have good prices and the guy working the first time I came was really nice. I was going to make this my morning routine but Im not quite sure.

SUCH a pretty place and love the upstairs seating. Friendly and fun staff always. But not enough outlets upstairs and the salads are just ordinary (I love the lunch combo with the free large soda though). Coffee drinks are really flavorful but not hot enough, almost just luke-warm. Wifi is fine.

I wouldnt recommend (1) being in a rush or (2) ordering what is referred to by the staff as a "plain" cappuccino (it tastes like mud). Stick to coffee because after all were not in France. Java Roaster is by far the chillest and most genuine coffee place in greater Lafayette.

Amazing atomosphere. The food is astounding and insanely cheap for how awesome it is. The staff is super friendly and down to Earth. Ive been eating here for the past week now and it is always fresh as can be. Also the music played inside is always really good jams.

Good coffee, good food, friendly staff, and a community-minded owner. Java Roaster is the total package. They have delicious lunch specials, and you can get a giant iced coffee for a very reasonable price. Java Roaster is my go-to place for coffee and a nosh.

Hands down best coffee house around. Been coming here for years and love it. New owners/management are awesome!!! Theyve stepped up something that was already doing well and its a great place. The atmosphere, decor and clientele is on point. So comfortable.

WARNING! They charged about 40% tip WITHOUT asking me, just for buying a bag of whole bean: NOT being served for coffee or food. I realized it after leaving the place (receipt was sent by email), so went back there and got my money back.

Good coffee, good prices, and friendly service. Nice, laid back atmosphere, outdoor seating, multiple levels inside. Good place for a quick meeting, or to hang out for a while. They also offer breakfast and lunch options.

I really like it here. I am sad they cut down their lunch menu in the last year or so but the quality remains. They are very pleasant and it is a great place to work, read, relax or get coffee with friends. Its a real gem.

A great alternative to Starbucks. Their coffee is high quality, and cheaper than other coffee chains. The page has a very relaxed atmosphere which is great for studying, reading, or light conversation.

Place looks real sweet and the coffee was good. The guy behind the counter was....kind of an idiot. Real out of it, like he couldnt handle more than 1 customer. Otherwise, I liked the vibe.

Recently changed ownership. Wraps have decreased in size and are now being served with BROWN lettuce (2 weeks in a row, after bringing to managers attention). Eat there at your own risk.

I really like the space. There are a handful of tables in the 2nd floor area that overlook the Batistas counter. Free WiFi, relatively quiet, and good coffee.
