First off, my introductory experience with Menards has been less than ideal. I ordered a few items online to pick up at the store and after almost a month of back and forth calls and being told conflicting stories on what happened, I ended up having to travel to the store to get it straightened out in person. The customer service person was polite and took care of it but I ended up having to pay more for what I ordered and walked away with alternative merchandise for my trouble. I did save a little money on what I ended up with VS what I would have paid at a competitors place, but I cant say it was worth the hassle. That being said, this would be a fun store to spend a Saturday walking around in if you live close to it and have time to kill. Theres a little of everything there. But, If you have to travel a great distance and have something specific in mind and very little time to deal with a last minute change of plans, I would just go where you KNOW they have what you need. I was very disappointed the first time around. I will try to have an open mind if I end up wandering in there again in the future, but my first choice would be to avoid that place altogether and definitely avoid buying online and picking up at the store. Also, as others have mentioned, the parking lot IS tricky to navigate in and out of. I guess thats normally a one time minor irritation but if youre aggravated already it becomes icing on the cake. Hope this helps.

I dont think Menards thought their checkout setup through very well when it comes to parents alone with small children in their store. I visited Menards and pushed my cart up to the checkout where I had my almost two-year-old child buckled in the top of the cart. I couldnt leave the cart there for the cashier to unload with my child in it and go down and bag all of the small loose items that I had. So I had to stand at my car while she unloaded everything and scanned it. Then once she was done I had to push the cart and my child down to the end to bag everything. Not once did any employee offer to help with the dozens of small items that I needed to bag. The cashier just stood there and stared for a minute and then started checking out the next person. I had to rush to get all of my stuff bagged before all the stuff she was scanning for the next person started to come down the belt. All while making sure that my toddler was sitting in the cart and not trying to climb out. Maybe Menards should teach their cashiers to be more aware of parents who may be alone with small children and need just a little bit of common courtesy. Next time Ill just go to Lowes where they actually help customers.

I was in the store. Didnt have my receipt. Front end management was terrible. Claimed they looked up my credit card information and I had not purchased the item from this store. Asked me to leave the store, and took the item away from me. Claimed they saw me on camera walk out of the store without paying for the item. Then 15 minutes later.....they called and said we reviewed the tape and found the item and the card you purchased it on. I was humiliated! They never apologized or anything! I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN AND I WILL BE CLOSING MY MENARDS CARD! Oh. And also Im a black female. So watch out black folks. Those store workers must be trained to think we all steal.SMH.....

The place has a decent mixture of quality and junk merchandise. Ive seen nothing that makes me think they can compete with Lowes or Home Depot. If you want to buy your groceries, clothing, and lumber in one store this place might be for you. 2 things that I dont like tho are the cashiers and customers are on the same side of the conveyor belt. Its very odd and uncomfortable. Also, they dont allow dogs like Home Depot or Lowes. I doubt that I will shop there ever again simply based on that policy. Im not worried about saving $5 or $10 on a $100 order if I can go somewhere else and not have to leave my dog in the car.

Great place most of the time, but they constantly run out of basic construction materials and the inventory online is often wrong. Also takes forever for them to resupply "stocking" items and with no store to store transfers if its not there youd better sorce it elsewhere. They need more experienced workers for departments like plumbing and electrical. Other local stores have Menards beaten hands down in experience. This is a big place and they do stock a lot of items the others dont, if they have any inventory in stock.

Mostly Imported tools and products sadly. Service has not been great on most of our visits. Tool department has been very helpful and some other inner department store associates too. Front end is esentially useless. The owners need to just install all u scan it yourself checkouts. A lot of bad attitude folks working up front. Overall the store is close by and has a few unique items I am glad it is there. Ps. Please fix the damn turn in to the store road put in signage directing correct path to the stores parking lot.

I bought lumber and support posts that were misrepresented. The so called"superior grade" would have been rejected by 99% of contractors or anyone building something. I received no help from the manager Daniel and I will never return to the store except to return materials. Dont trust what youre told in the store. Watch when ordering from Katelyn, she was nice but inept. The people in the store dont know where things are or what they are meant for. I highly recommend Home Depot instead. Sorry attempt Menards.

I usually do all my shopping at Lowes Home Improvement, but this store is awesome. Not only do they have everything in a convenient locations, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. I actually enjoyed my experience there and wanted to personally thank the staff for making it such a wonderful experience. I have worked in retail for long time and it is not easy. So, thank you you all for a great customer experience. I will defiantly return!

This place is huge, they have a great selection, the people are friendly, reasonably priced however if you want to special order something from the internet they make you walk across the store two times. For us old folks it quite painful. seems to me they could have fixed that so you could just walk in the front door and pick your paper work up there. I would be more likely to purchase from them if that was the case.

Great home improvement store. Used to go all the time when I lived in Wisconsin. Glad to have one near Louisville, KY. They have huge selection and great sales and rebate offers too. One of their most popular is 11% rebate on everything.(offered several times per year) You get the 11% back in the mail as an in store credit. Its easy to put the money you save into other projects or future purchases.

Good: - I experienced friendly employees on my visit - easy in and out of the parking lot (not too congested) Bad: - nothing to report Comparable to other big box home improvement stores, the selection at this chain is slightly different and therefore it holds its own in the retail world. Youll find a smaller selection for some things, but other items will have an enormous, unmatched selection.
