Dont know that we will be returning any time soon. We stood at the counter in the paint section for 15 minutes without so much as being acknowledged by the gentleman helping a couple choose a paint color for their old door. He literally ignored us as he mixed paint samples, painted onto the couples door, dried the paint for them, and mulled over whether it needed to be a tad lighter or darker. The couple was actually behind the counter with him too. Another gentleman waited behind us for about 3 minutes before he jumped on the phone to call home depot customer service and request assistance from an associate. I dont know what they told him but his response was, "its okay; Ill go to Lowes." I guess thats where we will be going too. Id give it one star, but the gentleman in the flooring area was actually wonderful and attentive.

I have always carried my Drivers License with my VET status on it to receive the VET 10% off discount. However, recently I am being constantly told that HomeDepot (or this specific store) now requires MORE proof of VET status. This ridiculous! and a disgrace to VETS. Lets be clear, To receive a VET status on a drivers license requires showing proof with a DD-214 which also shows Honorable Discharge to the DMV. Upon providing this info to the DMV only THEN will they print a VET status on a drivers license. I normally shop at LOWES anyways, but SOMETIMES when factoring in the 10% off VET discount Home Depot is a little cheaper. If this ridiculous policy stands, I will have no problem only shopping at LOWES. I shouldnt be hounded at the register about how my VET STATUS on my U.S Drivers License isnt enough proof for a discount.

Im very disappointed with the service at this store. I stood at the register waiting to be helped for at least 5 minutes before that lady stopped her yapping with a leaving customer. So Im thinking now its my turn, when on the other register the cashier needed help. Two people had already come to the cashiers "rescue" then my cashier in the middle of checking me out, also felt the need to run over there. So here I am waiting while 5 cashiers now hovered over one register helping one customers or the cashier not sure which one it was, while the line I was standing in was getting longer and longer. Unbelievable. She finally came back with no apology that she left me hanging there. Did not even look at me when she started yapping her mouth again with the customer behind me in line. Last time shopping there. Unprofessional!

Have been there twice in the last few weeks, and both times I had multiple employees ask if I needed help. The first one had his smock in his hand, and he was clocked out! He stayed with me after I insisted and helped me pick out a dishwasher. The other fellow was on his lunch and helped us with fencing. I believe his name was Matt. Extremely helpful! After coming from Lowes, the prices at Home Depot were cheaper, and the customer service was 100% better!

On December 4, 2010, I went to this Home Depot and had the most wonderful, helpful experiences ever! Note, I said experiences as in plural. I needed to find a difficult tub/shower configuration and the two women whom helped me were awesome and knowledgable. I needed Pex fittings and plumbing man was amazing! The employees at this Home Depot are happy and helpful! Kudos to the management!

Came here to buy a shed and waited 45 mins, went inside only to find out that the guy that was suppose to bring it out went home and never told nobody that i was still out here waiting. And im still sitting out here almost 30 minutes after i went in and told them about it and still no shed. Ive about had it with the home depot here in Elizabethtown.

Purchase 40 yards of carpet for my basement. After I paid a carpet layer to cut and seam the carpet we noticed the carpet backing was coming apart just before we were to lay it. Factory glue was disintegrating fromm the fabric. Had to take carpet back for refund. Lost money on labor. Beware of carepet.

To truly rate Home Depot, you have to compare it with that other home improvement store. While neither is awesome, customer service is easier to come by here. Unfortunately, they dont always have what youre looking for and the prices are slightly worse.
