I would like to file a complaint; I have and now my husband has had a negative experience in the deli section of this store. On Saturday, March 18th, my husband arrived at the deli counter BEFORE eight and was told that the deli was closed. The same thing happened to me on Saturday, March 11th as well. My husband is not a confrontational person (Note: he is not in the best of health); he called me and told me what happened. I then called the store and asked to speak with a manager. After being on hold for over 6 minutes, I was able to speak with Mark, the manager of the store. (I spoke the the manager at 8:06 pm. The call lasted 11 minutes, 43 seconds). I told him what happened, that I had experienced the same treatment the week before, and asked him when the deli closed. He told me that the deli closed at 9pm. He also apologized for how I was treated but his apology rang false to me. He also offered to give me a 5 dollar gift card (this amount would not even cover the cost of one sandwich). I called my husband, who was five minutes away, and told him that the deli closed at 9 pm and to make sure to speak with Mark. I then called Mark at 8:21pm, told him that my husband was on his way, and Mark assured me that he would make sure that my husband would be able to get his sandwiches, that he would be taken care of. I described my husband: he is white. I described my daughter who was with him: she is bi racial. I described myself: I am African American. My husband arrived shortly thereafter, introduced himself, and was told by Mark that the deli has closed, that it closes at 8pm. My husband called me at 8:34 pm to tell me this. He was in his car when he called me. I had been angry before; this incident made me even more angry. I began writing this letter. To make sure that the deli closes at 8, I called the Fresh Thyme Farmers Market on 2342 West 86th street. I go to this location quite a bit because it is closer to me. I spoke with a manager there (Tamara, I think: she was a lovely Latina woman) who told me that the deli closes at 9pm. Then I became REALLY angry. I told her what happened. This lovely lady said that she would make the sandwiches and that I can come pick them up. The time was 8:50pm. I arrived shortly after 9pm. I spoke with Tamara(sp) and she was lovely. She apologized for how I had been treated. She went over and beyond her duties as an employee. I am always treated with respect at the 86th street location. My husband and I were both treated poorly at the 82nd street location. My husband (who has been recovering from a stroke and was taking his daughter to get art supplies for her book project, which is why he went to the 82nd street location) said that he will never go to the 82nd street location or the 86th street location either. His energy level is limited, to send him back for a second time was taxing, and had I known he would be treated this way, I never would have sent him back to the store. Fresh Thyme should be made aware of this: the deli employees are rude and terrible employees, not to mention miserable human beings. Mark, the manager of the store is even worse employee and human being. Customers should never be treated this way.

Really love the food here, specially for my lunch break! Great fresh food and decent pricing. However, one of my favorite items is the made to order sandwiches but it seems I am always a nuisance to those behind the counter that make the fresh items in the pizza/sandwich area, pure attitude. Others that I work with, said they stopped ordering from there because of the same reason, even though it was delicious. Everyone else there throughout the store is SUPER friendly.

I had the incorrect item that was not on sale and I asked a gentleman about it. He promptly took me to a register, took off the incorrect items, went and picked up the correct items, rang up the items and I was on my way in less than 5 minutes. He was very friendly and didnt act like I was putting him out in any way. Thanks Fresh Thyme!

Very fresh organic produce, bakery, deli, and lot of variety of bulk foods, supplements and grocery. Please do check out their mobile application. It helps you organize and plan everything before you go to the store. Tip: do not go in to buy produce late in the day as they stop stocking in the evening.

Great selection on fresh fruits and veggies. Many organic selections. Workers always around and helpful as well as knowledgeable. Big selection of bulk goods including flours, nuts, candy, some dried fruits. Smaller meat section but always have what I am looking for.

This has an interesting mix of nicely priced produce both conventional and organic, prepackaged meats, and fairly expensive canned goods. I recommend coming for fresh items and avoiding canned and possibility frozen items.

Excellent small grocery store (although I wouldnt call it a farmers market) they have a good variety of boxed goods, and their produce is fresh and beautiful. They also have my all-time favorite non dairy ice cream!

Great, well-priced produce and excellent selection of bulk coffee/grains/nuts. Lots of gluten free and organic options as well. They make very affordable and flavorful sausages in their meat department.

It was clean and had a large variety. The employees were nice. They seemed short handed behind the deli though. The prices were too high. I ended up not getting anything because of that.

Great selection of produce at a great price and organic meats at competitive prices. Terrific selection of vitamins and other healthy foods. Thursdays are the best with double ad day!

As like the other Fresh Thymes Ive been to the out of stocks need to be addressed. I want to love this place but always have to stop off elsewhere to get everything I came in for.
