From the complaint to the Indiana Attorney General: IMPD report number DP11122590. DG Bicycles on the Monon (1407 E. 86th Street) was in possession of stolen goods and attempting to sell one of the stolen bicycles described in the IMPD report on Ebay. The bicycle was not located on the showroom floor in plain sight with other used goods, but was located in a back room. According to statements made in my presence, and which may or may not be recorded in the IMPD report, the firm did not collect any identity information on the alleged seller of the bicycle and made no obvious attempt to sell the bike locally, on Craigslist, in the classifieds, or on the showroom floor. This is very odd for attempting to sell goods obtained legitimately. The business practices of this firm are, at very best, highly unethical. I strongly suspect, although cannot prove (and to the best of my knowledge the police did not thoroughly search the premises), that stolen valuable accessories (which are also listed in the report) were also likely in possession of the firm. The IMPD returned one of the bicycles mentioned in the report to its rightful owner after it was located at the firm. According to Police, the Ebay account attempting to sell the bicycle (turk185) has a Hamilton County address and the firm where part of the goods listed in the report were recovered is located in Marion County.

I am reluctant to spend time writing this review but feel a need to warn others about my bad experience here. I dont know much about bike maintenance, so I had to trust the shop to tune my bike. They said they did a tune-up but $65 later the bikes gears were slipping like crazy and the back break is now sticking. My bike was in better shape before the tune-up (its a nice bike). I left a message about the problem and asked them not to tune another bike I had left there. But they tuned the other bike anyway and didnt give me the courtesy of a return call. I paid the entire $130, held my tongue and walked away. I learned a long time ago, when you find bad service, you cannot rehabilitate it. You cant change know-how or conscienciousness. Better to take the hit and try again at a shop with good service. But I sincerely hope others can avoid this kind of loss and frustration by steering clear of DG Bicycles in Nora in the first place

So I was in the market for a Rocky Mountain. I live about two and a half hours North of Indy and DG is the only Rocky dealer in Indiana near me. The other store was located in Milwaukee, WI. Well I called DG to see if they had the model I was searching for and to my luck they had it in my size. The first sales rep that answered the phone was super friendly and treated me with respect. I told him my situation ( no car Im a bike commuter) and I had asked about maybe having it shipped to my work or my house. He said the man to talk to was Scott and he could give me a call as soon as he got back in. Not even half an hour later Scott gave me a ring and we discussed the best options for me. This shop went well above and beyond what I expected. Scott said he was headed up towards me and could even bring the bike to me. Could not believe he even offered that. Keep up the good work guys. DG has a customer for life!

First off the one good review seems like bull crap. This is a shady, cluttered, poorly run shop. I dropped off a older bike I got second hand and asked for it to be checked over and serviced if needed. When I picked it up everything seemed fine, but the large(fat) guy put air into one of the tires while I was waiting. When we got home that same tire was flat!! I would have bought another tire if he would have just looked at it! When I called to see what the problem was, he (same fat man) said that we didnt ask him to look over the bike but that we only wanted a cable repaired. Then why did it cost $58.00? I will never darken his door again. WATCH OUT for this place!

I went in to get my disc brake trued (straightened out) because it was rubbing a little as I rode. Instead they put a new $56 disc on there and it rubs too. End result is that I am out $56 and I still have the same problem. Also it took them 4 days to get that work done. To top it all off my tire was flat by the morning after I picked it up and I hadnt had a flat in weeks before I dropped it off.

Used their services a few times. Prices are reasonable. Staff is very friendly and professional. Last time, went there without knowing they were going to close in 5 minutes. The staff didnt mention anything about closing and proceeded to perform an equipment install that took almost 45 minutes. All the while we were talking and joking. Felt more like hanging out with friends than staff at a store.

These guys are cool and pretty funny to talk to, too. Ive gone in and bugged them a couple of times and just talked shop with them. Needed some parts today and they gave me exactly what I needed. Prices were reasonable. Their bike selection also seems pretty diverse: expensive, high-end bikes to reasonably priced, quality bikes. I havent bought a bike there but I would if I had the money.

Asked for assistance with my brand new bicycle and the gentleman that I asked for assistance was extremely rude and unhelpful. Since this bicycle shop is in close proximity to my house and since my family and I will need 7 bikes to be worked on rest assuredly I will NOT be bringing my bicycles here. HORRIBLE experience.

Well for one I called to check on my bike and they said it was done. I got there to pick it up and he said I had the wrong hardware. That one bolt was different when they are the same bolts. I paid for my cranks to be in the same position they were when I brought it in. Waste of time and money.

Ive been taking my bike(s) here for repairs/installations for over two years now. You cant beat the prices and hell usually have your bike back to you in 24 hours or less. Ive never had a bad experience and I definitely recommend it!

I have been going to Scott at DG for nearly 5 years now. His knowledge and experience is the best Ive found in town. Ive been to nearly every other shop inside 465 and DG has always provided the best customer service.

There are some great bike shops in indianapolis but DG Bikes is an exceptional shop. Their service is affordable, personal, and still high quality. Everyone here is knowledgable and friendly!

Bought my Raleigh from Scott about 4 years ago and I have put a lot of miles on it since then thanks to a great bike AND a great sales and service department. Thanks DG!
