My husband and I went to purchase a phone because I was switching companies and they had a great deal going on. We sat there waiting to be helped for 15 minutes. We were passed by at least three employees all of whom we had tried to stop so we could get assitance. Finally after very loudly remarking on how terrible the customer service is at this location, someone approaches us. This young mans name was Ben. He seemed as though he was spacing out the entire time we were explaining which phone we were interested in. We had questions regarding the deal and he just continued to stare. Finally he asked if we were wanting to purchase the phone, which we had stated numerous times already. Throughout the entire process he was very unpleasant. He seemed very eager to get the transaction over with. Now I do understand that towards the end of a shift you are wanting to get out of work as soon as possible. There is still no reason to constantly look at your watch and comment on how other employees can wait because you almost have the couple in front of you out of the store and you would love to get home. It also would have been nice if the guy helping us would have offered a case or screen protector. I had to bring it up myself. I was told there is only one case for the particular phone I purchased. Which was a lie. I ended up exchanging the case he had handed me. With the screen protector there was no offer of putting it on for me. I also had to return this as well. Then I was charged to have the screen protector put on. $8 to have it put on crooked by geek squad. Do you realize I payed half the price my screen protector cost to have you guys do it wrong...? Every time I go to this location I have a terrible experiance. Whether that is with a sales associate, geek squad, or someone at customer service. I highly recommend the district manager do an evaluation of this location. There is some serious hiring and training problems going on. I will not be returning to this location.

Great sales experience with Rodney - That night I get an email telling me to call the Geek Squad - They need some information ASAP - I call within a couple of minutes and get someone who barely speaks English and says OK between every other word - He cannot tell me why I am supposed to call and to call the store the next morning - I call and get put on hold for 25 minutes - The person who is supposed to answer the phone is late this morning - I tell him my frustration with wasting 25 minutes on hold and want to speak to a manager - I get a manager and he tells me it is simply their procedure to send out that email even though they do not need additional information from me - No concern that I just wasted 15 minutes the night before and 25 minutes this morning - He is sensitive because I asked him why no one answers the damn phone rather than the issue of poor customer service - I get the excuse that it is their system that generates the request for additional info even though in this case there was none needed - Then why not apologize and go on? Like many other reviews this is an example of why this store gets really poor reviews - We need to buy another computer but it will not be from this store. Michael Kvistad

I am so disappointed with the Geek Squad service at Best Buy in Carmel on Michigan Rd. I took my laptop that I purchased from Best Buy to Geek Squad to remove my viruses which cost me a little over $200. The computer was running better with the viruses removed, but my laptop would not stay powered on. I called 1800-GEEKSQUAD and they could not troubleshoot due to the laptop not being able to stay powered on. They set me up an appointment to take it back to the store. They ended up telling me that they would have to send it to service tech which had to be shipped off. I am currently still waiting on my laptop to get back to the store. An agent at 1800-GEEKSQUAD told me that it would be shipped to the store TODAY. Well I call the store and the agent told me that it would probably be there tomorrow!! He then say that they couldnt perform proper work on it because it keeps over heating and I would need to buy a part. I have already spent $200 for NOTHING and my grade is hurting because I cant do homework. My laptop has NEVER overheated or anything else why is it that now it has that problem?? I will NEVER purchase anything nor have them fix anything at Geek Squad or Best But period!!!!!

Best Buy is Best Buy, but their Newly added Phone section is amazing. I purchased my new phone in January with a little hesitation because normally I go to my provider. Well they not only had the best prices, they offer the abilty to compair multipal services if your in the position to change providers. I wasnt but I like my provider, anyway I dropped and cracked my screen, I had the "geek squad" service plan instead of the providers plan, the turn around was fast, friendly and zero hassle with changing numbers to and from my old phone while I waited for mine. They offer a loaner phone while yours is sent out, but I just used my old smart phone. A refurbished phone was sent the day I went in there, and 2 days later it was ready to be picked up. Aside from it being pulled out of a box, It looked brand new. Because everything was saved to google or my memory card I didnt lose a single contact or picture! Amazing! Dont think Ill ever use anything but Best Buy for my cell phones again!

I have two bad experiences. First I was picking up a pre ordered game and the person before me was checking out. For some reason he owed $4.19 and he and the associate could not figure out why, even though there was a line item reciept. The issue was I sat there for about 15 minutes before he called someone else. Last, I have a Soda Stream and Meijer has the refill containers behind Customer Service and can be purchased at any time. Best Buy has the Geek Squad take care of those and you cant exchange the C02 takes anytime after 5 PM. Not sure what Carbonation has to do with Electronics, but I guess Best Buy knows ALL about electronics so I will take their word for it. Last, they never have anyone to help you if you need it!!

I tried to return a case for a tablet that wasnt the quality I expected for the price. Didnt notice, but return policy is 15 days. Be sure to pay attention to that, they are unforgiving on this policy. I was at 21 days. At original purchase of the tablet itself, sales person very inattentive and actually recommended I go on line to get what I was looking for. They didnt have what I was looking for. Offered no substitutes or discussion of alternatives. Love the tablet I was finally able to pick from their store with minimal help from sales person. Very discouraged by a waste of thirty nine dollars for a useless case. Bad service. Have shopped there many years. Will not shop there again.
