This Best Buy is right next to a Walmart, which is probably the reason this particular Walmart never carries anything Im looking for (its closest to me, though). I know a lot about electronics, and I like to be able to look without a salesperson hovering. My experience with Best Buy is that it strikes a nice balance, as opposed to say, Radio Shack, where they try to get people in and out faster than McDonalds, and the salespeople stick to you like that thing in Alien. The main problem I find is that its so big that people who work in one department often dont know where something outside their own department is located. Anyway, the last time I was there, the sales guy was so nice and helpful, I practically wanted to adopt him. I remember a time when I didnt like Best Buy, and I have to say, its improving. I think for a long time, it was trying to create a need, and most of your electronics needs could be filled at either a discount store, or a strictly "computer" store. That just isnt the case anymore, and theres a real need for a place that is limited to electronics, but to all kinds of electronics. Peoples needs are very different, and the set of things a person might want varies-- what are you putting together? You really want to get all the cables and headsets and everything in one place, not just the major components, because aside from not wanting to go to four different places, and leave expensive stuff in your car, you dont want, at the end of the day, to be frustrated by one tiny, missing, $10 part. This place isnt perfect, but in the end, I always go home with what I came for, for about what I was planning to spend.

I went to my local Sprint store on Saturday 11/1/2014. The store was busy with a huge wait time for service. My service experience was beyond poor! I wanted to upgrade my iPhone4s to the iPhone 6. I was talked and made to feel very ignorant about my questions of the phone and service plan. The answers, attitude, and personality I received was “it is the way it is” which is 100% unacceptable. I am not the professional with expertise, I am the consumer! I decided to purchase the phone until the associate told me my color of choice was not available when I called the day before and asked if it was it in stock. I asked when would more phones come in and I received a no personal service answer. I left the store and ended up purchasing my phone within hours from Best Buy who gave me EXCELLENT service, patience, professionalism, and answered all my questions and concerns until I was completely comfortable and confident with my decision. The icing on the cake and seal of the deal was Best Buy offered a higher buy back credit of my iPhone4s! I am happy with my purchase and service from Best Buy. Thank you for the wonderful service and expericne!

My problem was with the Geek Squad. I went there to have them look at my laptop that recently went on the fritz and the Geek Squad worker looked at my computer for about five seconds and told me that it was going to cost around $200 to fix it. He came off as very rude, but I think this was more do to his lack of complete incompetence to carry on any kind of social interaction with anyone. I left and took my laptop to someone else who fixed it for free and said that it was a simple improper system update that failed to download completely. I tried to call back the Geek Squad worker as soon as I got my computer back to tell him that he was full of it and to wish him the best of luck on his lifelong quest of trying to lose his virginity, but like previous reviewers said the phone just rang and rang. My advice for anyone reading this is do not buy a computer from Best Buy or any service that the Geek Squad offers, you can do much better by shopping around online and you wont have to deal geeks who know nothing about customer service or how to even interact with another person face to face.

I just wrote a scathing review about geek squad in this location. I actually really love this Best Buy. Ive always had great customer service and good interaction with the employees. Ive purchased three cell phones, a laptop, and other tech stuff from this specific location. Always a five-star experience, until today. I visited the geek squad to have my laptop repaired, something fell on it and damaged my hard drive. I went in prepared to spend money and walked out with a still broken laptop. The geek squad doesnt know jack about computers. At least the man I was speaking with, who tried to tell me I needed a CD to put in my laptop that doesnt even have a disk drive. they werent really sure what was going on, wouldnt offer me service, I kept asking what my options were and never got a straight answer. Its the most infuriating experience. I still need service, and will probably buy a new laptop, but Im done with this place. They get ⭐️ ⭐️ because up until now its been good, but geek squad you just lost this Best Buy customer for life.

I went to this best buy to get a new radio installed in my car. I stood around in the car audio section for about 10 minutes and no one ever came up to see me. I found the nearest person after that and I told them which radio I wanted and asked when I could get it installed. He said he would go get the installer and the appointment book. Another 10 minutes passed and someone else came from out back. It was the installer but there was no book with him. He said they were working on an RV in the back and wouldnt be able to get me in today. He went back to get the appointment book and after another 10 minutes we left. We headed to the best buy in brownsburg and 1 hour and 20 minutes after we showed up, the radio was installed and we were driving away. Very poor experience for a best buy. I will not be returning to this store.

I went to get my replacement phone and only ONE person knew what to do (Josh in geek squad)...he was a great help. Everybody else sucked, its sad but the black people were the worse. I do not understand why an individual would work in electronics but have no idea how to operate an electronic. I often times wonder if they knew I had a phone in my hand or did they think it was a "Hot Rod Car" When I finally got my phone, unfortunately Josh from geek squad was not there, I had to activate my own phone nobody knew what to do. How pathetic ...hated the whole best buy experience. But what else can be expected??? Its in the hood.

Called this Best Buy today. It rang and rang and rang. I was just checking stock on an item, I have the part number, and it could be a simple task for an employee. I put the phone on speaker and let it ring. 25 mins later they answered the main line. 25 mins to answer the MAIN LINE!!!?? They then transfered me to a sales associate. I waited another 15 minutes for him. Of course the guy was a fool, and they didnt have the part in stock. HH Gregg here I come. Thanks Best Buy for having the worst customer service available. This is the 7th time Ive had to complain. Hence why I buy any big purchase from a different store.
