For as much crap that Gamestop receives, their policies for used games and accessories cant be beat. Especially in an industry where publishers try and screw you over every chance they get. The store in Avon, Indiana, is a fine example of how awesome they can really be. The service is always friendly, the store is always clean and organized (as much as a game store can be), and never once have I had to wait an excess of time that wasnt a huge midnight release. The only complaints come from their used accessories. I bought an Xbox controller and had an immediate problem. Luckily I was able to trade it back in for a full refund (within 7 days) or a replacement (30 days). The second controller had issues as well, but the third was given with a rechargeable battery pack and charger. Though frustrating, they treated me well and compensated more then I had expected. Note: While they had a controller each time, they can only offer what they have in stock. Just because they couldnt help you find a game or accessory doesnt mean another one doesnt, or that someone wont trade it in later down the road.

I came in Wednesday afternoon before work looking for a specific game they didnt have so I asked the lady at the front if she could look up if any of the other locations had it. Instead she said she could sell me a digital copy w the activation code. Usually I prefer to own the actual game but I was very excited because there arent many horror survival games that come out for the Wii. Long story short, SHE HAD NO IDEA WHAT SHE WAS SELLING ME. $200 dollars later with a new external hard drive, a specific USB cord I JUST FOUND OUT I had to buy separately and 3 days later I STILL havent been able to play this game. WTF. All I wanted was to come home, relax and nerd out. This has taken so much time and money, Ive decided that I could take 20 more minutes out of my life to tell everyone that this location was NOT helpful at all...

I recently tried to use some gift cards I purchased online. 6 were fine, but 2 were not going thru. I waited over 30 minutes while the new, incompetent manager tried to figure out what was wrong with these 2 cards. Eventually she gave up and wouldnt even let me use the 6 that were perfectly fine! Treated me like I was some kind of criminal and embarrassed me in front of everybody in the store, not to mention wasted a lot of my time. I went to another nearby Gamestop and it took the wonderful people there less than 1 minute to figure out that the 2 "bad" gift cards were actually Trade In value cards, so they had to be entered in a different manner than normal gift cards. I hope some kind of Regional Manager reads these reviews so they can fire this locations idiotic, non-customer-friendly, new manager.

went in to buy a couple games, had my games ready at the register for like 10 minutes and was ignored for a man and his daughter whom were still debating what headsets they wanted to buy. step out for a smoke and come back and am told "oh i thought you left" to which i said well i stepped out for a minute due to being ignored when i am ready to make a purchase. this was the manager of the store and she didnt give a crap. still didnt ring me up so i left without paying, her name is cicell so she says and claimed to be a manager so look out for that one.

After waiting in line FOREVER to pick up a game that we had called in to reserve, we were asked by the clerk to go back in line so she could finish the transaction she was working on...with the gentleman that had just run out the door under the vague premise of looking for something. WTF? It took another 20 minutes to get checked out. Oh, and checking out took time as they hadnt actually set the game aside. Suck much? I think so.

The accessories in stock were almost non existent, the store is very crammed in and stuffy, the Clerk actually lied to me about what they paid me for the items I sold them!??? I will not return.

Worst company I can think of the manager seal or whatever her name is is rude as can be also over paying for a game nhl 15 I paid 20 for it and now they only give 2 in cash ok I see a scam
