Unfortunately in a pawn shop- people are going to be upset because they have to give up "great grandma" ring or other "treasures". I have shopped here for years and always gotten great deals!! way less than other pawn shops. The Staff has been friendly- however I have read that there was a fat Puerto-rican lady working there- Racist much? Funny thing after 10 years no one that works there fits the description. ANYWAY- If you are upset with not getting the max for your item- dont sell it- never did I see any employee "MAKE SOMEONE SELL THERE ITEM" everyone comes in on their free will. If you have a gun - they are the ONLY gun shop in LAKE COUNTY. I have only positive things to say. ALso Management has changed but the owners are the same! ntil people know their facts - they should not write a review. Have a great day.

Went in got a guitar, computer, and a psp. Guitar not bad missing a string but came with a case (they sold the original when wernt meant to). The computer was locked with someone elses files on it (if you sell anything with memory and dont want others seeing or getting ahold of your stuff clean it yourself before selling). Emily told us if we wanted a receipt we would be taxed and if we come back the next day with any problems shell give us a refund or store credit. the next day came in and said she never said that. the short haired guy talked to me like there was something wrong with me. Said I dont know about coputers and what he said was the ultimate truth. I work with computers, and I know what their capable of. Dont ever buy anything there. All they want is how to make money not to have costumers come back.

Despite all the bad reviews I decided to take a gander at some of their electronics. I purchased a Panamax Power Protector for home theater products. Got it home and went to install it and the second power bank/supply wouldnt work on it. Called and the guy I spoke to was completely rude stated "all sales are final" and that "I bought a used product, whatd I expect" then he rushed off the phone because he was with a "customer". Given this item wasnt expensive but their service is garbage and theyre not willing to help out when they are clearly at fault. They stated that they test all their product but clearly that wasnt the case. Way better service at Trader Jons all the way around. This was the first and the last time I will have shopped there. Dont waste your time people.

Rude, imcompetent, and unprofessional. I purchased online and had rifle shipped to my FFL address. Rifle was shipped in an empty box with no packing material. Super Pawn would not return phone calls. When I left B+ feedback (should have been an F), I was treated to a long trail of emails insulting myself and every other customer they have, as being too stupid to understand what good packaging is. Was told that proper packaging techniques arent used because customers are too stupid to deal with it. I wouldnt buy anything, ever again from them. Oh, and one more thing, I was told that no one reads reviews, their customers "just buy the cheapest thing they can find, and dont expect much". So be forewarned.

DO NOT SHOP OR PAWN YOUR ITEMS HERE, YOU HAVE TWO BETTER OPTIONS WITHIN 2 MILES OF THIS GARBAGE PILE! Came in and some kid who thought he was the boss didnt even know what my stuff was worth and gave me a real low ball offer for a loan, 20% of what I was asking! I sell stuff on EBay for a living and know all about completed listing values and I was already giving them an amazing deal, but this kid went back, looked up the stuff, came back with a crap offer and had an attitude about him. The best part was I told him I will be back for the stuff in about two weeks and he flat out called me a liar and told me that I wont come back! I should have thrown him out the window, good thing I didnt.

I went in the store looking for a deal and noticed that the sticker prices where full retail as if the items were new! I seen a laptop plastic broken around screen they had a tag for $325.00 and also had a sign hanging up for 20% off all laptops! I asked the lady that worked there what her best price was and she said make us a offer! I offered $175.00 as is was in bad shape and she said the best possible price would be $300! I mentioned that with the sale it should only be $260 and she said O well I am not going to sell you anything in the store! I then thanked her for not allowing me to be charged over there asking price and left! Dishonest worker, I will never return!

Had item shipped. Total incompetence. Dropped item in box with no packaging material. When contacted, they stated that their customers were too stupid to deal with properly packaged shipments, and that most had no idea how to even use the item they were receiving anyway. Then they continued on and on with a diatribe of how stupid their customers are and how pathetic people who complain are. I guess working as a fence for stolen goods and shaking down the desperate takes a toll on character after a while. In any case, there are honest merchants that care out there, so exercise your option to visit them instead of this excuse for a shop.

Ive been there a few times to give it a try. Tried looking at a guitar, had money in my pocket to buy. The "help" there said, "Boy it sure is warm today..." then cranked up a guitar through an amp and began playing while completely ignoring me. Another time tried to secure a very short term loan on an expensive guitar. The person at the counter and their "expert" claimed that the $1,000 guitar wasnt worth any more than $150 and there was no way they could give me a loan over $50. Absolute INCOMPETENT MORONS! Want good service by people who know what theyre doing? Go to Todds Pawn Shop in Lake Villa.

Very rude and idiotic. Second time I was in there because actually got money the first time. But this time took in 2 digital cameras because their website said they were looking for them. I go in there with them two of the employees are talking instead of helping me. So after getting their attention the woman very rudely asks if I need something as if Im just bothering them. Tell her what I have tells me in a very rude tone of voice they dont buy digital cameras even though their website says they do. Never going there again.

Store is messy and cluttered, things are buried under mountains of other things, went in trying to sell some gold however after waiting in their showroom for 20 plus minutes with no one coming out to greet me I left, and its not just me, two other people walked in, waited, and then asked me if I worked there. They also left while waiting to be helped. Id suggest Alexanders Jewery and Loan right down the street went there and was promptly greeted and helped

I had never been to a pawn shop before. I got a great deal on a guitar and sold them a broken gold chain. They paid me twice what I was offered at the cash for gold place up the street. I had no idea that they paid cash for guns. I had a shotgun that my dad gave me that I never used, so I went home and got it, and I was able to sell it to them without a FOID card. The store has a lot of merchandise, and the staff was very helpful. Ill be going back.
