I stumbled on this store through a Google search, and Im very happy I did. I add my 5 star review to the many others Im seeing. Apparently Rocky is the owner, and everything theyre saying about him in the other reviews is the same for me. My iPad Air 1 was dropped some time last year, which shattered the glass. It was working okay, but I wanted a new glass on it, so for lack of knowing where to take it, and not having a lot of time to check around, I took it to Woodfield Mall in March, as I had seen some guys doing phone repairs, out of one of those kiosks out in the middle of the mall. I knew I was taking a gamble, and I lost the gamble. The guy charged me $117.00, and he replaced the glass, and all seemed well. Within 2 months, the home button went mushy, and though it was working, there were times when I had trouble getting the home button to make contact, so I knew I needed another repair, and soon. I took it to Fast Geekz, and when I told Rocky about the previous repair, he pointed out how the replacement glass didnt fit properly, and said they used a cheap glass. He also told me the home button is part of the glass assembly, so to replace the home button he needed to replace the glass, and he knew that the home button lacked the rubber support piece. He quoted me $79.00 total, plus tax, and hed have it ready in about 2 hours. Everything he told me came true, and when I picked it up, he showed me the previous glass that he took off, and showed me how the home button wasnt properly supported, by other than a thin plastic strip, which is what broke, and it lacked the rubber support which made it secure. So with tax it was $87.00, done in two hours, and out the door. My trust in Rocky was justified, I just felt good about him when I met him. So I learned two lessons - first, dont use those guys in the mall, theyre shady (at least the one I lucked into was shady). Second, take your repairs to Rocky. Hes a gem - Honest, reasonable in his pricing, and best of all, he really knows his stuff.

I want to start by saying that cell phone repair isnt easy, even though it could be easy to get ahead of yourself as parts can be ordered for cheap online. Though the parts are easy to come by, the repairing is tedious. One little twitch can ruin not only the part, but the phone - for good. I have never been a fan of cell phone repair type places as I have had a bad past with them (overpricing, mediocre repair, etc.) - that is until I did some research and found FastGeekz. Their tech, Rocky, has done wonders to my Galaxy S7. I brought it in with a destroyed screen from a drop that also was a threat the back glass in which was also shattered. This beautiful piece of technological glass was fried - a $750 phone. Thinking of buying a new one was a nightmare. Rocky doesnt discriminate - though he may only carry Apple product parts in store, he was more than happy to order the parts for my pesky Samsung. Not only did he fully replace my LCD and the glass back, but I also noticed my back camera lens was scraped and discolored - so he ordered that for me too. Man that must have cost a fortune! - NOPE. ~$250 - for practically a new phone. A small fraction of the cost. For a tech geek like me, this a life saver. FastGeekz did work on my S7 and I could not be happier. Now that I have found them, there is no more worry. If anything happens again, I know where to go. Hands down. Excellent, professional work (like he was an official Samsung tech), and I couldnt be more pleased. This place deserves more recognition - Ill never go anywhere else. Thank you for turning a horrible experience into wonderful one!

Amazing service and quality at the best price! Rocky is awesome, I called to ask about fixing a broken screen on my older phone and he special ordered the screen and said to check back the following week to see if they got the part yet. To my surprise he actually called me when the part was ready, even though I never left my contact info with him. I dropped off my phone with them before they closed and it was ready the next morning. When I picked up my phone it looked great, just like new. I went to test everything out when I got home and noticed that the front facing camera was blurry. I took it back to Rocky to ask about it and he immediately apologized and said he wasnt able to fully test the phone because he didnt have my unlock pin code. But with no questions asked he got to work on it again. Initially I was going to wait in the waiting room but he came out and said that it was going to take longer than he thought and could give me a call later with an update. That afternoon he called and told me that while fixing the camera he noticed the microphone needed repaired too and hed have the phone ready the next day. I really appreciated his updates, honesty, and customer service. He was very apologetic when I went to pick up my phone, and gave me a partial refund for my trouble even though I didnt ask for or expect that. He said he stands behind his work and wants his customers to be satisfied. Im very impressed with Rocky and Fast Geekz and theres no doubt Ill be coming back in the future for any of our inevitable technology repairs. Thank you!

When my 5 year old HP laptop crashed, I took it to Rocky at FastGeekz. He ordered a new hard drive, installed it and transferred all of my old files. When I brought it home I was able to retreive everything but the graphics were very bad and pictures were distorted. I brought it back and Rocky discovered a problem with the graphics chip on the motherboard. I brought the old hard drive back and Rocky reinstalled it and gave me a FULL refund. He was honest and also gave me some advice about what to look for in a new laptop. Even though Rocky was not able to fix my laptop, I appreciate his honesty and fairness. If I ever have any other computer issues, I would definitely go back to Fast Geekz.

Fast Geekz is a nice little shop in a busy but convenient part of Palatine east of the train station. I walked into Fast Geekz last week to repair a faulty Lightning/Recharger Port on my phone. I arrived an hour before it closed, and the repair person took my phone on priority and was able to repair the phone by replacing the port hardware in less than 40 minutes. Since the phone was off warranty, Apple Store had told me to replace the phone for far more than the repair cost. So far, the phone is working like new. Charging and transferring data properly. Great job, fast, friendly, and inexpensive. If I should have any further issues, I would certainly be a repeat customer. Thanks again!
