My wife and i visited Ashleys Furniture in Mokena very recently looking for a leather couch with matching love seat. We shopped at all the other furniture stores in roughly a 20 mile radius. The saleswoman at Ashleys, a African American was initially kind, courteous and helpful, I do not remember her name. At first we purchased a 36" radius kitchen table with 4 matching chairs through her at Ashleys. We had seen this same table and chairs set, at a joint up in Lombard called The Dump, who wanted more $ and though the staff was plentiful, they were not too helpful to ask if we needed help. Same table and chairs set was at Art Van on Butterfield road, the young gentleman there was extremely helpful, however the table on display seemed off balance. Their Amish furniture on the other hand is very nice!! Again this same salesman was extremely helpful! After doing a search for the couch and matching loveseat we liked, we returned to Ashleys Furniture in Mokena on a Saturday morning. When we inquired with same saleswoman from before if they had any in that color or fabric on display, she said no. Less than 5 seconds after I told my wife, I know of a place that has what we are looking for on display, this saleswoman immediately said, our Broadview store has one. It seemed to me, once she knew we were thinking of going elsewhere, she immediately replied regarding one of their other store locations. When I inquired with her what Ashleys Furniture delivery fees are, she responded with, $75.00 to drop off at door, $199.00 to take in and set up. This was much more money than we anticipated to pay, especially for being one mile away from store and twice as much as the other store we went to. While my wife and I drove up north to Nicks Furniture located in Sugar Grove, the saleswoman called my wife numerous times insinuating anywhere else we go to will charge us more in delivery fees, among the other words she told my wife to get her to change our minds to return to Ashleys in Mokena. Nicks furniture in Sugar Grove is very helpful and we received the furniture before the day and week they promised. Nick at Nicks Furniture was very helpful is showing us both, the wiring set up for the power reclining seating and extra amenities of the furniture set. No other furniture stores be it Ashleys, Darvin, Avanti, The Dump, spent the time nor made any initiative to show us the furnitures features. Nick"s Furniture in Sugar Grove charges $75.00 for delivery and set up in house, no charge to bring furniture to put at your door front. Ashleys Furniture lost our business, because of their staff.

I knew when I entered the Ashley Furniture store that immediately it was different! It was fresh looking, bright and cheery! The displays were put together beautifully and I could tell the merchandise was quality just by looking at it and sitting on or touching it, yet the prices were comparable. I was totally caught off guard by the most polite and courteous salesperson I had ever met in a furniture store but she did not "dog" me or come across like a used car salesman. Debbie was fantastic! I ended up spending 8 or more hours in the store that day just trying to fill two rooms! Debbie was not concerned about showing me the most expensive pieces but truly took an interest in MY needs and not HER commission. She even managed to assist others while working with me but never abandoned me. Exhausted after spending all that time in the store I returned the next day for a mattress and lift for my bed. I will never shop another furniture store again because I know Ashley manufactures and distributes their own line of furniture. No gimmicks here just good furniture at good prices. No notebooks, computers or $500 gift with your purchase, just a store you will feel confident going back to, a store that stands behind their warranty programs. You wont hear "Maam, you should have read the small print" from them. They believe in what they sell and stand behind it and that is unheard of in this day and age! I will be returning soon to see my fantastic saleslady whom I believe became a friend to me...what a deal! God bless you, Debbie, Katie S.

Things go wrong all the time in business transactions, what measures a company is how they deal with the situation when issues come up.... unfortunately this Ashley store is worried about sales only and does not believe in respect or good follow up service. Ordered furniture on a Saturday, was delivered the following Friday, after delivery we realized the furniture was not he correct size of what we ordered (ordered a couch set that was supposed to be 166" wide, in reality the piece was 160" wide, so does not fit the space as planned). Called the salesperson immediately when discovered and talked to him at 4:30pm Friday afternoon, he guaranteed a call the next day from the manager... by 5:30pm on Saturday no return call so we called and left a message for a return call after that message, so called the store 10am Sunday morning and talked to Tracey the store manager, re-explained the situation as was GUARANTEED a call within 1/2 hour.... never called back. So now we are on Monday morning, the store manager is not in so had to deal with Tracey giving me excuses why she did not call back and has NO updated information for us. Asked for the Regional Managers name and phone number and was denied that information so still in limbo with no solution in site! What a joke!

Good experience with the salesperson Charles and the manager at the store. They helped us select a mattress and base and gave us a huge discount. They worked very well with us being very personal and friendly. Not so good of an experience with the first set of delivery men. They left the mattress on another truck and I had to wait for several hours before they returned with it. Then I noticed that they had sent the wrong base. The delivery man was very defensive about the mattress being left and bringing the wrong base. He was too busy worried about being charged for the mistake made versus me being satisfied. When I called my salesperson to tell him about the problem, he got on it right away and a new base was sent to me on my time. The second set of delivery men were great and assembled my bed the way it should have been. Kudos to Ashton and Joel. They explained to me how to operate it and all unlike the first delivery man. Overall, a good experience and we will go back to Ashley again. Hopefully, they will send the first set of delivery men back to basic training.

Nothing but problems from early on. The quality is extremely poor! My kitchen table started "peeling" a few months after I purchased it. It was replaced (table and chairs) and two after a chair broke. That was three weeks ago and Im STILL waiting on a reply from the store. My couch cushions never stay in. I am constantly having to push them in and when someone sits on them, the cushion comes out as they get up. The back cushions are completely defaulted. Ive had TWO different techs come out to assess whether or not they needed to be replaced. The answer was no both times even though the tech said the couch was in bad shape for it being so new. To think, I still owe $1600 on this furniture makes me sick. Never, ever again!!! The only positive thing is the saleswoman Lisa. Shes been understanding and amazing with me since the beginning. Unfortunately, this does not make up for all the hassle, time and wasted money.
