I already knew what bedroom set i was getting so I went to the store to see it in person. I was approached by a gentleman who was very nice and polite. He gave me his business card with his schedule. I had my furniture delivered for free since I spent well over a grand. The delivery service was by far horrible. The guys were rude. My bed frame was put together and its not even leveled right or the screws were loose. One dresser was broken when they took it out of the box. The other dresser I got had a chip on the bottom corner but wasnt noticed until later when they were already gone. I called customer service and told them about my bad service and all I got was an apology and told them about my damaged dressers. They told me I will receive a call back when the drivers return. I got one phone call from some guy asking which dresser did I have and didnt have and that was it. Still waited to find out when I was going to get the dressers delivered. I called the store as well looking to speak to the guy that had helped me and the schedule he gave me was not correct because I called a few times different days he shouldve been there and he was off every time. Next day I get a call from a rude woman that worked at the store and I complained how I was supposed to get a call the night before and never did. Her response was well you are now. I had to wait an extra 4-5 days to get my dressers. The next set of delivery guys were better but I never got through to the man who helped me. All I got was rude service and apology. Didnt get a discount or anything for my horrible service. Even though I love the bedroom set I got I will never buy furniture from this store again. Bad customer service and broken/damage furniture twice. My bedroom set was also at 3 different furniture stores but value had it at the cheaper price. If you want good service dont go to value city or at least the Joliet location.

First of all i I am only giving a 1 star because 0 stars is not an option. I purchased a section couch at this location a little over a year ago. that was the beginning of nothing but problems the issues began a month after i bought it with two of the leg rests bending down and not closing i called the store after many weeks they sent a repair man out looked at it and then had to order parts so 3 weeks after that they fixed that problem. Two days later a piece that makes the leg rest raise up broke off again waited weeks eventually ( i believe 5 weeks later) the repair man came and fixed that problem. Everything was good for a month or so when the original problem happened again at this point I called the store to get replacement furniture as obviously this is a chronic problem the manager on duty that day ( i dont remember his name) stated that they would sent someone out to evaluate the problem about 3 weeks later the same repairman comes out takes a picture of the couch and tells me a manager will be calling me. The next day a I receive a call asking when i would like to schedule an appointment to have it repaired i stated I dont want it repaired and that I would like a replacement I was transfered to a manager named Mellissa who stated if they can continue to fix the problem thats what they will do I informed her i will be contacting corporate all she said was go ahead call them they will just send you back to me. So now im sitting here on a broken couch writing this review. So to finish this up the furniture we spent alot of money on is garbage the store manager was rude and offered no help. I hope this helps make up your mind before spending a penny at this location.

Finally found out why the parking lot is always empty. Furniture is over priced, even though it looks nice it is not made to justify the price. Being a customer at the Joliet, IL location has been a headache. It seems the staff does not know how to use the computer program to sell furniture and order for customers. Staff also seems to "forget" about sales and specials. I ordered a pillow and it turned in to a month ordeal. I had called several times to get an update for the pillow and I was told that the person that does the ordering wasnt there so they would call me back. The only time i was contacted by the store was to tell me the wrong pillow was sent and i would have to wait again, without an apology. I called a week later to check my order and was told i would be waiting at least 2 more weeks, for one pillow. Since I paid in full when i had them order it, I asked if i could take one that is in back with one of the sets already and when the store gets in the pillow in 2 or more weeks they just put it with the set in which i was given the pillow i have been waiting for. I was told that would not be possible. Finally received the pillow and it was made so poorly it doesnt even look right. Spend a few hundred more dollars and go somewhere else.

Ordered bed and chest from this place. People who came to deliver scratched and dent my wall. Bed was not assembled right. Delivered scratched and damaged chest. As soon as i called the store to complain, their attitude changed 180 degree. i am a customer and i paid for brand new item. shouldnt i get a new one? Wrote couple emails to store...never got replied from them. I dont recommend this place to anyone based on my experience. you probably get stuffs $10/$15 cheap here but you end up spending more time and getting yelled by their team if you complain for valid reason. finally i got the replacement chest..but the guy who delivered switched all drawer from old one and now..some drawer close well..some donet and they are not aligned. Didnt bother to call them again. they did it to save some time ..i guess... i will never ever buy from this place.

My boyfriend and I recently bought a couch from here. We were told that the couch wouldnt fit into our apartment building so we had to refuse it. We called and decided to move the couch ourselves and requested the delivery/assembly fee be cancelled because we were going to assemble it ourselves. The woman on the phone argued with my boyfriend that they attempted to deliver it so we should be charged. After, that issue was finally resolved we got the couch and brought it home. Once we were done assembling it, we found an empty juice pouch and tons of crumbs wedged between the cushions. How disrespectful to eat and sit on someones brand new couch. We were disgusted to say the least. We essentially paid $1,200+ for a used couch. Never again.

if I could give this store zero stars I would I contacted them regarding sofas I purchased not even a year ago online when chatting with a person from value city they said to contact that store let them know about whats going on with my sofas and it will be covered under the 1 year manufacture warranty I contacted them the gentleman who picked up kept putting me on hold to find out if they did or not which you should know the policy of a store you work at ! He told me they did not I went back online they told me they do in fact cover it and to contact corporate instead when they open tomorrow someone needs to hand out copies of the 1 year warranty at the next staff meeting ! Horrible customer service
