Jewel, as a chain, is often criticized. However, I believe that this particular store has an excellent staff--and that means everything! I mean ALL staffers on EVERY shift. Of course I have my favorites, but the few who did not deliver A+ service were soon trained or gone (terminated, I assume). My husband and I both use walkers. Jewel employees are sensitive to mobility, exhaustion, and bagging issues. The prices are reasonable for the quality (always fresh). The quantity is amazing (even though the store tends to frequently shift its product placement). I hear a lot about how non-union grocery/pharmacies like Walmart are better and cheaper. So doubtful! After trying so many grocers, we have decided to hit Trader Joes every 5 weeks or so but do our regular shopping at Jewel.

I am sad to report how unfriendly and grouchy the Meat department is. Tony and one other younger guy there are helpful, but most of the staff and the older women there are rough and tough no matter how polite you ask for something. I am afraid to ask anymore. It seems people think you are imposing. The people w ho answer the phone are always sounding rushed and yell into the phone. I find that the Deli department are nice folks, but they seem to be stressed out. Its a chore dealing with that store and the heavy negative energy makes me avoid it. I also find it to be kinda of dirty. I have lived in Lombard a long time and wished we had another place to shop around here.

Good Selection of Groceries does not go well with Grouchy attitude of the Elderly Ladies working their. But lately I have noticed that, the cashiers are extremely rude. I do not know whether that stems out of their Age. There was this Elderly Lady, with name tag "Ruth". She just, closed the billing counter without even warning us, while me and my wife was waiting for about 10 minutes. I was snapped at on two occasions, when I tried to clarify about a price of a Food Item. Even if this outlet has a good inventory, it does not go hand in hand with substandard customer handling skills.

Terrible service. Came in to buy fruit to make a fruit salad and when I was checking out there was a dispute. The service lady at the self checkout lane thought that I had honeycrisp apples, when I had red delicious and picked the red delicious option on the screen. She then stopped me and deleted the item and selected honeycrisp for me. They ended up being the same price so I decided to leave it at that. Jewel osco on main street has just lost yet another loyal customer.

Havent stepped foot in Lombard Jewel in months due to lousy customer service, kids who cant say thank you, etc – early this morning needed to buy coffee so took a chance on them Rudest Witch ever poured out a hot cup of nasty on me for somehow having walked into the store before they officially opened. One kind young man rang me up and then Witch Lady accused me of leaving store without paying. Dont worry, Jewel, you wont every see me darken your doorstep again.

Verse customer service I have ever seen, specially the girl who works at night time, she is was throwing our stuff, dont even let us put our stuff in bags and the behavior was the verse. If is there any complain center of jewel please let me know

I see youre stepping your game up with Marianos opening soon. No wait lines and good things on sale. Now you need to stop cutting corners on produce. There are times when Caputos has better produce, but keep working on it!

The staff is nice enough but everything is just to expensive for no good reason. Even when they are having sales it is not the best deal in town. Skip this place unless you have no choice.

Hate going to Jewel cant wait until Marianos opens. Some of my experiences with bad customer service gas been horrible. Only started going there because Ultra Foods went out of business!!!!

Terrible customer service. This is why they will not survive. I have a family of 4 and we spend approx. $100-$150 a week. Not anymore Petes Fresh market is just down the road.

Anytime I have been there, it has been a quick in and out for me. Everyone who works there has always been helpful and polite. Not crazy about the prices though.
