I have been shopping here for about 6 months and although the groceries were very overpriced we have continued shopping there for the produce. The lunchmeat and produce here is pretty good...that is unless you ever need to exchange something. Then what you will get is no sympathy, be called a liar, and shown the door. That is unless you are a hoarder that keeps every receipt from every grocery shopping trip youve ever made. I bought grapes there two days ago and when I opened them last night we noticed that all the stems were brown. I called Garden Fresh to let them know Id like to make an exchange. No money back, I just wanted some grapes. I ended up having to talk to the manager who showed no empathy towards me whatsoever and told me that without a receipt they would do nothing. Not a budge. I paid over 8 dollars for these grapes and the manager could care less. I told the manager that I would be taking my business elsewhere (there are plenty of good produce spots around here, pick another one other than this one) and still she could care less. Therefore, I will be taking my business away from this overpriced grocery store and taking it somewhere else that actually appreciates customers who frequent their stores. You should too.

This place, although has good selection and usually also carries fresh food, has absolutely terrible customer service. Last week, I questioned an employee for the whereabouts of a particular product and he had no idea what it was or where I could find it, so he found the manager and a couple other workers, none of whom could speak any English. Now I hate to sound like Donald Trump, but if you are in America, an English-speaking country, you really should know at least the basics of English, ESPECIALLY if you are working in customer service. It took a solid five minutes for them to translate the problem and for her to understand and then explain that it wasnt available.

This place has a great selection of produce and international products. That is about the best I can offer. Dont use the restroom or the elevator. This place is filthy. Had a situation that required a managerial decision, and the manager needs to go back to management school. Absolutely no resolution or care for the customer. Employees dont help with questions, they dont smile, and/or greet you at checkout. Good prices and selection at the deli, but again, the rudest employees. Today was the last straw with this place. I will not be back.

I will starve before I give this store one more red cent. I had a situation happen that I thought the MANAGER should know about and he responded like a child. He has NO management training what-so-ever and when the owners put people in management positions that dont belong there then of course their store is going to run itself into the ground. This place is on my way home from work and it was convenient but I will NEVER shop there again. Good luck to whoever owns this place, in this economy with so much competition I think youre in trouble!

I shop there every week, sometime twice... its the best grocery in Mundelein Great selection , decent prices I also order tacos for lunch from there, made to order with salsa and limes.. My only suggestion is that they change the advertisement.. If the picture shown has toppings for the price listed... then you charge extra for those toppings (sometimes)... its is not as advertised.. very small thing but it stands out to me because i buy so often from there,. overall my favorite go-to place for anything...

My experience was very poort at GardenFresh, They had FALSE advertisement, when contacted, just sorry. When I sent them a good customer experience with one of their compettion, I got email from ALDI, saying he does not need CUSTOMERS...wa..was Clearly, not a good customer experience, and poor communication, They will advertise falsely and with errors, and if you point them out. SORRY. DONT come back to our store. People should not support GROCERY stores with FALSE advertisement and poor customer support.

There is NO better place in the area for fresh produce and international food and ingredients. If you need that obscure tiny ingredient for your asian dish, or want FRESH ingredients for pretty much ANY dish, Garden Fresh is the place to go. Skip the other chain grocers in the area when you want fresh veggies, fruit, or sticky rice! Garden fresh has it all and the people working there are knowledgeable and friendly.

I had to call 3 times and talked to 6 different people, some of them multiple times just to order a turkey for Thanksgiving. They seemed really confused, barely spoke English and kept bouncing me around from one department to the next. You would think that around Thanksgiving, they would all know who was taking care of the Turkey orders! I gave them my order, but Im worried they will screw it up!

Apparently in order to buy caviar one has to go to the stand, have some red caviar weighed (in my case about $25 worth), then go to cashier with a printed invoice, pay for it and come back to pick it up. Next thing you know theyll start taking deposits before you enter the store... I had $150 worth of groceries and had to specifically pre-pay for caviar... Worst customer service ever

We shop here regularly. Great selection of produce baked goods from around the world. Artisan breads and unique custom spices section. Specialty European, Latino, and Asian food sections. Good selection of beer from Europe. Great prices on produce and meats.

Huge selection of produce, seafood, and meats although the quality and freshness vary from time to time. Prices are fantastic and Ive only managed to find some international seasonings, seasonings, and spices here, compared to other groceries.

Cashiers not friendly. Products not clearly priced. Outrageous prices on name brand cereals. Good parts great international/hispanic/asian/eastern europe grocery store. Great produce & bulk items.

Why would you shop at Jewel when you can double your groceries for the same price here. They have so many varieties of fresh produce and groceries, they are our primary food store for sure.
