I am a 50 yr old male who has never reviewed or commented on anything in my life. Been to new Johnsburg store six times since opened & was really looking forward to it. My disappointment leads me to say.... P A thetic! Gotta be the worst "new" Walmart I have ever been to. Shopped @ the old McHenry store since built. Never a real fan. Only went in due to convenience. Could never get out soon enough. Got worse with time. Thought the help was rough, haggard, overworked, stressed or disinterested depending on the employee. Rarely saw a happy face. Thought the old store and lack of space was limiting them. Figured the large, fresh, new building would elevate the whole experience........... I WAS WRONG!!!!! Feels like the same old Walmart. New place, same face. Building is new but the attitudes and feel of the place is the same. Old, not fresh. Been to other large Walmarts and didnt mind looking around. This store doesnt feel like a Walmart. Dont see those great smiles like on the TV commercials. Feels like the past when franchises like A&W, Dunkin Donuts, True Value Hardware stores could be independently owned & the owners, thus employees didnt care what the Corporate brand wanted, they did what they wanted & treated the store as their own. Is this store independently owned? Not, but sure feels like it. Dunkin Donuts just barely saved their name, others that didnt manage their stores & brands have died or are dieing. (A&W, True Value, Zarye, KMart, Sears, etc.). ********If you need something from Walmart then go ahead & visit this store. ********Be advised that it has an everyman for himself feel about it and I wish you good luck. I will only go to store if needed & get out as soon as possible.

With Octobers Reformation at hand Ive been stopping in this this Walmart on Richmond Road to en-rich the spirits of Dad and I. I do this by looking at the variety of offerings to consumers in relation to their product placement upon the planogram. Of note is aisle 15 where today I noticed the Star Shower Laser Light and L.E.D. Projectors flanked next to the magazines ABC Soaps-Taste Of Home Color- & Archie 75th. To me that arrangement seems well thought out. And as if projected from this display of words mechanism is Star Magazine featuring the ever brilliant eyeshine of my hearts desire actress Angelina Jolie. The reason for the October season is painted in living light at Walmart. Note that every painter utilizes a brush of various tones and did you know that Angelina that Angel of allure which I desire so is the daughter of actor Jon Voight? Well the name Jon and Seane actually have the same meaning; Old Wise-River, thats Celtic. So now you see the projection of that brush of light right? So enjoy the enrichment that you too will discover on Richmond Road here in McHenry and just for reading this review here is a free brush from Jon and I which of course was made in China ~ 翰.

They are lucky to get 2 stars. People here are rude and non helpful. Half the time I am trying to find someone to help me get items off the shelves they stack that high, even people in the wheel chairs have trouble. Lucky 1 day I was there, my Son was with me and he is tall, he helped some lady to get down an item since she couldnt reach it herself, and of course no Walmart Employees were around. When you find an employee and ask for help you get a rude face expressing or a smart ass sigh, well excuse me for asking is this not your job to help people? Their stock sucks, they had better items and more of a selection at the old location then they do now. What is the point of building a bigger Walmart and you reduce your supply or no longer carry items you once did? The parking lot just sucks. Who created the design? All the other Walmarts do not have a parking lot like this, wonder how many accidents have occurred because of this?

I always appreciate it when my daughter(-in-law) or my care giver can take me to walmart in johnsburg, il. I like how the produce is the first thing you see, and there are big displays for the lowest priced items.. their bread is well worth the trip, and compares to bread in nicer restaurants ( I bring a fresh, sliced loaf to all family gatherings, and theyd never guess how inexpensive it is!!!) I like how you can shop the store edges, unless there is something else you are looking for ( candy, or cat food, for my family). the overhead signs are easy to read, and appreciated. all the employees are very nice, especially in the check out lines, and the eye glass dept. they are also very nice on the phone, I often call all the stores to find the best price on milk, before I shop (I have some wild cats that I feed, and they really enjoy milk). thanks, carol

ok....only shopped there once about a month ago and was not happy with service or any part of my experience, the prices went up too!!!!! and dont even get me started on that parking lot....notice to all find out who did it and dont I MEAN DONT hire them!!!!!! THE REASON I AM WRITING THIS NOW (have never written a review or comment for anything) IS BECAUSE I WANTED TO CALL THEM AND THEY HAVE THEIR NEW ADDRESS LISTED BUT ALL THE PHONE NUMBERS ARE DISCONNECTED, GET WITH IT MANAGEMENT I MEAN YOU CANT EVEN HAVE THE NEW NUMBER PUBLISHED CORRECTLY AFTER ALL YOU UPDATED THE ADDRESS WHICH MEANS THIS WAS EVEN DONE HALF-A****!!!!?????!!!! I HAD TO GIVE IT ONE STAR BUT REALLY WISH THERE WAS A NEGATIVE STAR

All was well thruout store until checking out. While I was digging out checkbook and filling out check, checker informed me there was no more room for bags on carousel and I would have to load my cart so there would be room for the rest of my purchases. So checkers dont load carts anymore?? Or was he just lazy or rude? There was still room for the last few bags on the top of the carousel. It as not like l wasnt doing anything but looking for checkbook. I dont care to be ordered around by a punk kid who thinks he is the boss. Guess he didnt think about the fact that I pay his salary! Really rude.

Most of the employees there are just very rude and have bad costumer service. Everytime I go there I try to ask an employee for help they would look at me for 2 seconds and walk away like they dont care. They look and act like they hate their job and lives. No smiles either. The only time I would go there is to buy one item because its the only certain item I could find in this region at a decent price. The parking lot is like a joke too, whats it suppose to be a maze? Most of the time it feels like it was such a waste of time.

Prices are great as with any walmart, but they are constantly out of so many items! They remain out of these items for weeks! No one can tell you when items will come in and their inventory is never correct; leaving me waiting for extended times while they look in the back for an item that isnt there. Most of the employees are friendly but some managers are very rude. The ad match is very convenient, but every shift has different rules about what is included; very annoying! Overall....its walmart.
