Not sure why people are complaining about high prices. I just moved here from Chicago and ai cant believe how cheap things are here (anything from food to toiletries to thermal underwear). Good quality all around, and it is always very clean and well-maintaned. I never find loose items on the floor... even in the toy department. Usually its pretty easy to find what Im looking for, but Ill admit that you do have to get used to the layout the first few times you shop there. Generally products are easy to find once you know where to go (paper towels by baby products, dog food by photo center and electronics). My only complaint is the fact that if you need help you really have to look around the store to find someone, and you cant expect to get in and out between the hours of 3p-8p... but you can usually ALWAYS find managers in the customer service area, layaway/returns area, and usually 2-3 guys in electronics. by the way, all of your electronics associates are awesome. Yeah sometimes they put you on hold for 7 minutes over the phone just to tell you a product is in stock, but otherwise those kids are very eager to boost customer service scores in person!! Even the guys that retrieve carts are willing to help out if theyre free, and if there is a "pow-wow" of associates they all stop what theyre doing to ask you if youre finding everything alright (electronics and cart guys usually) Bottom-line: Food is on one-side, home goods, toys, hardware, and auto on the other... Everything else is scattered in the middle of the "race-track". If you need assistance, go to customer service or electronics, but if you have to call in then plan on 5 minutes minimum.

For the only large store in more than 20 miles, this store has several issues: 1. The shelves are stocked poorly. At no time should you have a list of sugar, eggs, spaghetti noodles, milk and only be able to leave with half your list. 2. The managers are rude and lazy. When I complained that my above list of 4 items I could only get half of them, I was told that they couldnt staff to stock shelves and I would have to come back after they did stocking for items that were in the back. When I asked them why dont they hire more people, the manager looked at me and told me I obviously dont understand how business works. (I drove the 30 minutes to Edwardsville and shopped somewhere that wanted my business). 3. They have a poor selection of items. I have seen smaller Walmarts with more variety. 4. They pull pallets to stock shelves in the early evening and leave them there until they stock overnight. It is cluttered and makes already narrow spaces even tighter. 5. Finally, they treat their employees poorly. I have seen where a line checker has asked a passing manager if they were going to get their break since it was 2 hours past when they should have taken it. The manager looked at the line checker and told her, "It isnt like you are working full time. You are off in an hour and a half, I will try to get you a break, but if I cant, you will have to deal with it."

as a shopper and former worker they dont care at this location here in highland the asset manager dawn should of got stung by more bees janet and lou are stuck in highschool they wont hire someone who is forced to quit cus of thier bully tactics just look up the story in bellvelle news democrat of their wrongful termination they will give you a interview and give you the wrong time and then go to lunch at that said time and then try to cover themselves by changing said time to save thier job when andrew and jennifer were there the store was like clockwork everything was stocked store was cleaned the asset manager wasnt in her current position i would be nice for you guys to keep up and have the items people need (eletronics)

Being the only retail for 15 miles youd think that they would have a wider selection of items... but they dont.. they forced me to buy an Amazon prime membership. I work at the ups store right next to it. So shipping is no issue. I just hate getting computer stuff online. They never have enough cashiers during rush hours. Some staff are just plain rude. They do have a few good employees. But its rare I see one. I want to have a higher rating for them. But the entire staff needs a refresher on being nice to customers. The layout is also puzzling. Cant find everything even after shopping there for over 9 months. I hope they improve this store.

I like the convenience of the store, but my husband is diabetic and Everytime we find something that he can eat ie low in carbs, you get rid of it. You no longer carry our bread, Mac and cheese, sausages, there are hardly any cereals on your shelves that arent high in sugar, and more. We find that a lot of people from the Highland area are shopping in Edwardsville at Dierbergs and Schnucks. You cater to people who are on a gluten free diet more so than the diabetics. Disappointed!

Im from Georgia and I know some Wal-Marts have a different lay out which is a little confusing considering I was in a hurry. But I was happy with my experience. But you might want to restock the out side vending I wanted some soda for the long trip back down but they were empty. I tried to get it in the little fridges up front by check out and the one I wanted, there was non

This Wal-Mart is a little sad. Clothing department is really small, especially womens plus sizes. Whoever is ordering clothing for this site isnt making great selections. I really like Wal-Mart casual clothing, but the styles here are degenerate 90s throwbacks. Grocery department is nice, though, which is really good because Highland doesnt have many.

Its Walmart. They consistently stop carrying certain products and that is beyond frustrating. The people are friendly and it seems to be a well run store. But the inconvenience of losing items I get used to purchasing is a huge problem for me. It forces me to other stores more often than what I would prefer.

It is extremely hard to find a staff member and when you finally do all they can say is that its not there department and they cannot help. Some staff is nice, not the best management always. Also, it is so much more expensive to shop at than any other grocery store in town!
