I went in looking for a diamond cut paper shredder. I had to browse a bit to find them. Three different employees saw me and did not offer me any help or greet me. I lingered looking at the shredders and an employee walked over and made eye contact and just stared at me. I felt very uncomfortable. Why wouldnt you greet your customer and make them feel welcome? Three employees with no accountability and a clear lack of concern for the business they work for. I decided to leave and as I passed the cashier(a fourth employee) on the way out I didnt get a "thank you for coming in" or "didnt find what you were looking for today?". The dangers of employing staff like this is that they let sales walk out the door and then wonder why corporate closes the location or goes bankrupt. You need staff that feels a sense of ownership and care otherwise they dont deserve to be employed. I went to ABT Electronics in Glenview where I was treated like a Rockstar and spent nearly $200 on a high capacity, diamond cut paper shredder with a protection plan added on. Go someplace else if you want good service. Youll be dissatisfied and disappointed at the Staples in Glenview. As a customer you are the reason retailers are in business and without you they would have to close their doors forever. Spend your hard earned money at places that want to earn your business and deserve it.

Ive used this Staples for 6yrs, so by now Ive amassed enough experiences here to tell you truly that it is a nightmare. I dread every visit. I have never gotten out of here in less than 20min because of the absurdly complicated check out process. Do you have a rewards card? Coupons? Tax exempt? Are you turning in empty ink cartridges? Did you think the card swiper would actually read your card? Did you think that when it didnt the store employee would know what to do? There are always plenty of employees milling around, but none of them is empowered to help w/ anything beyond the most basic tasks w/o calling a manager for help. Stream line your process Staples. Not for my benefit, b/c i hope never to shop here again, but for the benefit of the customers you havent yet alienated by wasting hours of their lives standing in your checkout lines or suffering through your Dada-inspired checkout process.

What a bad purchase experience on a sunny Sunday afternoon! We saw a chair and want to buy it, the manager on-duty seemed not in good mood and he refused to sell it. The reason was very radiculous: This is the only chair for display and their dont want to waste their time to sell it and assemble another one. After we walked away the manager pulled the "display" chair to the inventory..... definitely he didnt want to sell it. Its not surpised the Staples stock price is dropping and they closed the shop on Dundee/Sanders. I am sure this store (Waukegan/Lake) will be doomed to this destiny as well.

The location is great. But the service is nothing special. I was in the store the other day asking for help finding something and the employee just pointed and said its some where over there. I went to look, couldnt find it and then asked his help again and he said that if I dont see it then they dont have it in stock. My gf later was walking around and happened to find what I was looking for in a completely different aisle. So if you need something and can find it yourself then there wont be any problems. They need better service.

Attempted to check out for 15 minutes through a multitude of "Point of Sale" system malfunctions. Zero customer service or awareness to customer experience. Wont be returning in the future.
