Bought my first sport bike (not from highland Yamaha). Now I needed a helmet! Was referred Highland Yamaha from a friend. Said they have a really good selection of helmets there which they do! Got help from this older lady which she was very nice to help me out and buy my helmet. Again first time buying a helmet... Tried on different sizes until one fit right. Wore it for less than a week. Helmet broke in some what.. Feels loose now and I think I need a size smaller. So I look on the receipt, says return and exchanges before 14 days. I was well before the 14 days. I ride back to see if I can exchange. I go in, put my helmet on the counter and ask for an exchange and show them the receipt. I get this awkward silence and stare at me like Im an idiot or something. Then they go and say that they cant exchange it because it was worn and "how can they sell it?".. No where and I mean NO WHERE on the receipt says once worn; gloves ,HELMETS, jackets..etc.. Cannot be returned. So then I show and tell them that it doesnt say anything on the receipt about "once worn cannot be returned". Only says return and exchanges before 14 days. They didnt even help me out at all. Like a discount for smaller cheek pads or ANYTHING. Treated me like trash. Great selection on products. But horrible costumer service. If you buy something they treat you like a king. If you wanna return somthing. They treat you like garbage.. Oh yeah. Helmet was in perfect condition. No scratches or marks. Worn it 4 times. Never coming here again.

Terrible experience, Im looking to buy a new motorcycle so I have been going to a few dealers. I walked into Highlands Yamaha with my friend also looking to purchase a new motorcycle. We were not greeted, and we were never even approached. We then approached an older gentleman and asked him about a bike, and if we can have a test ride. He seemed very hesitant and bothered, but he replied with "Do you have a class M license?" I said yes. Then he asked how, will I be paying for the bike?? I said Im financing. Then he told me they have to run my credit for a test ride. (This is crazy!!) I asked why do I have to get a hit on my credit score to decide witch bike I want to buy. Then he told me "I dont know take that up with the loan companies". At which point I told him never mind! And walked out. I have been to several dealers and all with no problem hold on to your license and credit card then allow you to test ride the motorcycles. I will not be coming back here. If your looking to buy go somewhere else, dont get hard hits on your credit score for test rides. Theirs plenty of dealers that will gladly let you test ride all of the bikes in the store with no problems.

Bought my new FZ 09 from Highlands Yamaha and the experience was awesome. Terry was honestly the nicest and most honest salesman I have ever encountered. He did not push a single thing on me at all and it was all about what I wanted and what I was comfortable with. Him and the entire staff was unbelievably nice through out my purchase considering I went into the dealer ship at about 6:45 pm when they close at 7 and all of them were more than willing to stay late after hours with me to get the purchasing process started. They also have a really good selection of riding gear and helmets to choose from compared to a lot of other Yamaha dealers I have been to. Also have my first 500 mile service scheduled there next week to have everything checked out. After these experiences I cant see myself going to another dealership for any of my desired Yamaha products in the future. Definitely would recommend this location to family and friends!

I talked to Dan on Friday about a new 09 sled. Dan talked me into the FX Nytro for my kind of riding. The sled was put together and ready Saturday by 1 pm for pick-up. They were very busy when I arrived but still got my info after a few minutes of waiting. I had time to buy some snow gear I needed at closeout prices before Dan was ready for me to sign papers and give me a walk around explaining what I needed to know about my purchase. I was on my way within 1 hour of arriving. Very good customer service and the parts personel was very awesome also. I highly recommend Highlands Yamaha and will use them again. Thank You very much Highlands Yamaha.

Salesman tried to convince me Not to buy a motorcycle and even seem bothered by the fact that a ride in this weather. I went in to buy an r6 for my son and a shoei helmet for myself and left with nothing thanks to the salesman. Went straight to imotorsports inc were they had the r6 i was looking for with great customer service.

They claim to be a " full service dealership" yet they dont take trade-ins (at least not lowly British bikes). They should at least be transparent about this on their website. With a FICO score of 800, I was fully prepared to buy a new bike today. Looks like another Triumph or BMW. Several 1& 2 ratings here.

THANKS! Dan, Kenny, Terry, and the rest of Highlands Yamaha Crew! My new Viper (snowmobile) takes to the trails on rails with a robust power band. I have purchase four or five off road machines from Highlands Yamaha over the past twelve years and pleased with everything.

Their Service Department is awesome. Top notch work made sure everything was correct and kept me updated the whole time. Dan and his team are great! Much better than my experience than DGY and Chicago Performance in terms of quality of work.

Brought my scooter in because of a recall by Yamaha. The service people were awesome. Took care of me quickly and were very polite. I dont live near by but I think if I was going to purchase a new bike Id get it from them.

Purchased my snowmobile from them. I dont believe that I will do so again. They dont try to accomodate even after you have spent that money. Not that friendly.
