I live nearby Wild Wind and knew that when I was ready for my next tattoo that this was the place I wanted to check out. The decor is awesome and very welcoming, and later coming to find out all of the art is either from Rich and Chris personal collection, or their own paintings and illustrations. Rich is the artist that I worked with, starting with some ideas that he helped to work through with me and then scheduling an appointment. He was awesome the whole way through. He gave me very honest opinions about watercolor tattoos and that adding a little bit of shading will make a huge difference (he was right). He is also just a really nice guy to hang out with for a few hours, which makes the whole process even more enjoyable. The tattoo I got is probably 3"x5" on my forearm and he finished it all in about 1.5 hours. The work itself is beautiful. The shading and line work is awesome and I get so many compliments daily about how it looks like it was literally painted on my arm. Anyway, I have already recommended this place to a bunch of friends and I know Ill be back for sure.

Ive been getting tattooed by Rich Marafioti for a while now and Im super pumped he decided to open this shop. Between him and Chris, the quality of work is amazing and ever since the opening there has always been a reason to go to Wild Wind, even if youre not getting tattooed. Its not pretentious like a lot of other tattoo shops in that area (or really anywhere), and if thats not reason enough, theyve always got some unique art installation on display, its super clean, in a really convenient location, and for the artistry they provide, super reasonably priced. I would follow Rich anywhere to be honest, thats how amazing of a tattoo artist he is - he brought my forearm tattoo to life by free handing these amazingly colored wildflowers that I would never have been able to visualize or verbalize myself. Seriously, if you are considering a tattoo, go here or youll forever have REGERTS (bad tattoo joke-see what i did there?)

My wife and I have used Carlos for four different tattoos here, and my sister-in-law saw Chris to get a shoulder tattoo done. We have been all up and down Illinois and California looking for someone who can do traditional this perfectly. The professionalism of the shop is top notch, but the most unique thing is the artistry displayed. Each one of the artist is very skilled at tattooing and great at the creative design aspect. In the back of the shop is a large wall that each artist has an opportunity to decorate, paint, and show off their artistic skills. The vibe inside will be very comfortable for The crowd who enjoys punk music, chill people, and amazing tattooers. I have a literally started social media campaign to get Carlos more recognition because of the amazing work hes done and from what ive seen on his Instagram. If you are in the area I do not miss a chance to get a tattoo here!

BEST TATTOO EXPERIENCE EVER!! Atmosphere was perfect, welcoming, relaxing, totally chill. Not your typical shop where you walk in and theres nothing but tatts on the walls. Theres beautiful and awesome artwork thrown in. I had a cover up that I had been trying to fix for years..LITERALLY weighed on me. Christopher Cendejas greeted me with professionalism and warmth as he listen to my plight and immediately started coming up with ideas. He is totally cool to vibe with and has a gentle hand instead of it feeling like a broke jackhammer ( yes, Ive experienced this elsewhere). He did a beautiful awesome job..so much that I teared up and hugged him. Hes my guy from now on and were already working on other tatt ideas. You cant go wrong with this place people..☺

Great experience. It had been 10+ years since my last of 9 tattoos and Id been debating for some time when to finally get a new piece. I live nearby in humbolt and was driving by one day when I noticed their shop had opened. I waited months before I finally had made my mind up to get it done. I went in right when they opened on a Saturday and was greeted warmly. I asked for Chris who happened to be the man who welcomed me. I gave him my details and showed him what I wanted and in a matter of moments I was having the transfer applied. He knew it had been awhile for me and took great care and asked me throughout if I needed a break. I couldnt be happier with the entire experience or my newest and probably not my last tattoo from Wildwind.

Ive been going to Rich to get tattooed for about 7 years now and have always been extremely happy with how every single one of my tattoos has turned out. Ill usually come in with a basic idea, and Rich is able to turn that into something that turns out to be extremely awesome. Chris and Carlos are also very talented artists, and always impressed with the tattoos that they do as well. The shop also has some great decor, tunes, and just an all around great vibe, as it doesnt feel like your typical tattoo shop.
