I purchased my laptop there a few months ago and was extremely happy with the staff. They were very kind and helped explain how the Apple operating system worked, which was important since I had never used an Apple computer. They also have good prices on new and used power tools and always have something in that I can use. Their prices for selling is fair and a lot better than some of the local competitors, I only pawned 1 item and their interest rate and payment options were very reasonable. Overall all I think this is the best pawn shop in town, the only downside is it can sometimes be hard to find parking, other than that an awesome store and staff.

The staff and shop have totally removed the stigma of a pawn shop. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and have integrity. I have made many purchases there including but not limited to t.vs, tools, cameras games for systems, jewelry, guitars and other instruments. I only had 1 piece malfunction and they immediately took care of it. On the other end in a tight pinch they have always been able to help me out. I can not say enough positive comments to do them justice. Honorable people in a sometimes difficult spot. You can always trust them.

Every time I try to pawn anything, which is what they are a pawn shop, they never take anything because they say they have too many already. If you need a short term cash loan, I do not recommend going there, but if your buying something they are a little better. The only flaw with that is they charge bout 10% more than retail but their return policy is only 7 days. They should do at least 15 days. Like it or not, just stating my experience there. Hope its helpful.

PrivatePlus Sucks

Probably my favorite pawn shop in town. Decent selection on electric guitars and theyre priced right, too. I walked out with a great condition Strat for $65 when another shop in town wanted $89 for the same Strat covered in scratches. Very friendly staff!

The main problem with pawn shops is that they will try to "low-ball" you at any time so they can make more money. This shop is GREAT. Dont mess around at the other pawn shops in champaign. It will just be a waste of time or money. Come here first.

Place return policy sucks and there service suck i mean whats the point of being a Pawn shop if they never accept pawns there accuse always is they have to many or some other bull crap just dont even waste your time

Everytime I have went to this pawn shop they have givin less money for pawn and rejected items I have tryed to pawn where other pawn shops have taken the item I will not return again.

This is one of the few Pawn shops Ive seen that doesnt look like a dirty garage sale. They have never turned down anything I wanted to pawn and Ive been going there for years.
