Previously had gone to this place to replace a tire. Over time went back for new wheels. Service and price was good. Had an issue where a rear tire got punctured - not sure if someone did it purposely or not but it was more on the side of the tire. I was buying the new wheels at the time so they gave the tire to me for free! Still had those tires and wheels when I sold my light SUV. Last December I got a new SUV with run flat tires. One tire got a screw and the run flats are recommended to replace and not repair/patch. The Pierlli warranty stated it would cover the tire. Surprisingly the Dealership would not do the warranty work and said I had to go through the tire manufacturer. I couldnt get a hold of anyone at Pirelli when I called but their site listed NTB and Discount Tire as places for warranty work. I initially called NTB as they were closer but when I got there they said they wouldnt do it because I didnt buy the tire from them. So I called Discount Tire and they said bring it in. They checked the tire and verified the screw had gone in far enough to cause an issue. They then measured the thread (warranty is good for first 2/32" of thread life or a year). They called Pirelli and got hold of someone, got a replacement tired ordered (none in stock at the shop) and confirmed it was covered by warranty. Instead of paying hundreds for a new tire, got it replaced and only paid to have it mounted and balanced (under $27 instead of $200+). They also have good sales occasionally (like when I bought my wheels) so are worth checking out and doing price comparisons.

Added danger for me to be on the road. Also if I wouldve listened to this locations staff nothing would have be solved, I would have spend more money on their services and products, without solving the problem, and placing unnecessary stress on my car resulting on collateral car damages (and money to fix those) and for sure adding more risk for me and anybody with me in the car and potentially others on the road. My car was having a smooth ride until last Saturday when I took it in for tire rotation and rebalancing. Right after the car started shaking at 60 miles/hr. I took it back. I was told my rims where bad or other things in the direction of the car (bearings, rods, etc). Their reasoning were not consistent with the history of the car and I needed a second oppinion. So, I asked to reverse the rotation and I just drove to the Weber location just off of Highway 55. At this other location they fixed it all in 20 mins. No money involved. I drove it and is was smooth. The problem was that all the rims where stil unbalanced due to a uncalibrated balancing matchine at the first location (Bolingbrook, Promedade) . Kudos to the great staff and calibrated machines at the Weber location (south of 55 Highway ).

Stinks. I got a set of new tires from them now every month or so, the low pressure indicator on the car lights. So I brought the car back and ask them to check. Waited for 2 hrs, told me there is nothing wrong, it is just just due to the dropping temperature and the tires are properly sealed and they are the professional. When I mentioned that for three times, one of the tires is holding (32), two are slightly lower (28), and one is significantly lower (24), the guy asked me "do you want them to be all lower?". I tried to convince them that it looks like at least one of the tires is not as well sealed, the guy gave me a cold face and say I was insulting them as they are the best in the nation and insited the tires are properly sealed. When I asked what can be the solution, he told me mockingly "repacing the wheels". Three times during the conversation, he push the key to me and said "we are done here". Well, looks like the discounted tires come with discounted service too. Now I am stuck and do not know where to turn for help.

If I could give 0 stars I would, Brandon and Kevin there are 2 totally incompetent workers. I called at 8:01 in the morning and made an appointment, purchased 2 tires in advance and showed up at my appointment time to be told they were running 45 minutes late. I made sure in the morning when I spoke with Kevin saying Im leaving on a trip and need to make sure these tires are installed at 1:00, he confidently laughed and said of course, no problem. Little did I know Brandon who works as a cashier, I pray hes not the manager was equally as disheveled in dealing with another customer who just before me had walked out because they too were told their appointment time would not be honored. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in the consistent poor level of service from discount tire, I had a previous experience I did not review on Google however this one took me over the top. Horrible customer-service, promises made but not delivered, discount tire you have lost a customer in anyone who reads this for life I hope.

Talked to Matt before lunch about coming in and wanted an appointment. Was told non available today and I shold just swing by and they would get me done within an hour. Drove over an hour later and was told it would be an hour and a half before I can even get in. Then he asked me if I wanted an appointment to stop back later. "Are you serious? I just called and you said youre all booked." "That wasnt me" - "are you matt?" "I dont know who you talked to but I have you down for 430". Why even call in the first place. Then he answers a call over me only to tell a customer he was checking inventory in the computer but they didnt have the tires available at all - but it must have been magic because he didnt touch a key on the computer and he spent half the time looking out the window. So at least I know it wasnt a personal neglect. Apparently they treat everyone that was. Usually go to Naperville and Ive never been treated like that before and Ill not be going back.

Rip off. Found a better price online for a set of tires, and asked them to honor their price matching guarantee. Through the magic of commission, they added $30 a tire in additional fees (special shipping, higher installation charges, etc) so that price matching a $25 cheaper price per tire ended up being more expensive than the price quoted at the "original" price on their website. I spoke to three different people (including a manager) and they assured me this was standard policy. Turns out they were just trying to pocket the additional $120, because the Discount Tire on Ogden in Naperville will do a true price match without adding additional fees or trying to aggressively upsell anything. If theyre willing to blatantly lie to an informed customer, Im sure they make a lot of money off of people who dont comparison shop.

I got a flat tire yesterday, and my shipment from Tire Rack came in today so I hurried after work to make it before closing at 6. At 6:02 they accepted me and my car with smiles on their faces and they were more than happy to mount, dismount, and balance 2 tires for me. Quick side note: assistant manager Uros (I believe thats his name... THANK YOU again by the way!!) said they will price match any tire off of Tire Rack and usually they have them in stock; so dont need to wait for shipping and can get them installed on the spot. Awesome!!!! I will be back next time. Hopefully later than sooner.
