Stratfords been my local mall since I was two years old. And its been through some tough times- a lot of the smaller malls in the area are still on their last legs- Charlestowne (soon to be The Hub or whatever), for example, feels more like a mausoleum than mall. And while Stratford is no Woodfield, Oakbrook, or Yorktowne (nor is it trying to be, should be noted), it still has life in it. The vast majority of the spaces are filled (and those that arent mostly already have tenants in the process of moving in), the movie theaters the best local one, and the Quickfire Café restaurant is nothing short of phenomenal. That being said, its draw is mainly for locals who dont want to drive however long its going to take to get to Woodfield. Stratfords decent for the area, but not worth going too far out of your way.

About eight years ago this place was on its last legs. Not only the small stores but the major stores too were leaving. Since then Im not sure if they got better funding or what but it has changed. Brand new stores are pooping up here and there. They have got some unique places here. For example they have a brand new Japanese arcade. They also just opened a Japanese restaurant at the Macys end. Probably the best Asian food Ive had. All made by this one lady. The mall itself needs some updating. Theyve begun to renovate and relocate some attractions which is good. One of my major issues is that the overhead lights buzz like crazy. Almost gives me a headache. Cheaper than Woodfield is one reason I go here. The other is that there is no cramped clutter of people everywhere.

This mall isnt what it used to be. Its still far from deserted, but its just not the same anymore. There are a few empty spaces and the spots that arent empty are small private businesses run by Arabs and Indians, not trying to sound racist. There are a couple other stores that you would see at most malls. The mall has Pac Sun, Aeropostale, F.Y.E., Spencers, and Hot Topic, but thats about it. However; there is a really cool Japanese arcade in this mall, a really nice movie theater, and some nice places to eat. For places in the mall to eat, I recommend Quick Fire Cafe. Theyve got really good pizza there

I ordered online for in store pick up. The girl at the register wouldnt let me try them on until I paid for them. Said she would return them if they didnt fit. They fit fine. Girl and manager both said I could not have a lid for the box because the shoes were on clearance. I said I wouldnt go through the mall with an open box of shoes. The manager tried two lid that didnt fit the box and said sorry. He said he would be happy to return them.which I did. I want offered any solution other than an open box..not even a bag. Wont be back in the future

Malls seam to be dying and this mall may have started its death throws. They have a good theater and a few mediocre restaurants. Major pain getting here as Army Trail road always seems to be jammed. They rent electronic animals that kids can drive through the mall. If I was seven that would be awesome but at 48 its just annoying to get run into while I am trying to walk. This is a good place to shop if your looking for over priced gym shoes and ninja throwing stars.

Honestly this mall has improved so much over the past 6 years. If you havent been to Stratford recently they have a bowling alley/arcade that looks awesome. They also have a bunch of pool tables for those of you that enjoy a game of billiards. Ive been wanting to try the escape room they recently added somewhere in the mall, its supposed to be better for groups. There for court is nice, and the nothing ever feels over crowded.

Hardly anything in this mall for me. Growing up in the 80s here, this mall was awesome, and was awesome in the early 90s as well. Now, it is becoming more like the Alsip Swap-O-Rama with the quality of the stores in there. You still have your big department stores, but thats pretty much it. It has gotten to the point that the kids dont hang out there much anymore, which for us older farts, make it a bit more pleasing to visit.

This mall is very unique in that it is in the middle of a transition. New stores are coming every time I visit, old store fronts are being revitalized, and decrepit venues removed. Stratford Square has great potential with its many entertainment venues making it a great place to spend the evening as a family. Chocked full of restaurants and entertainment offerings, there is surely something for most everyone.

What is good here; Century theater is clean and organized, they have a decent arcade with Ms PacMan so i love it Round 1 is a fun bowling, arcade place to spend some time People watching is always a blast here, watching the indoor train thing is somehow amazing to me Kitchen gadget store has awesome finds Not so good; Retail stores are struggling, even anchors are not so well stocked, often chaotic

The only reason was burlingtons.....spent the whole day shopping there.they had a huge variety clothing and shoes with all super brands at a great price . Literally shopped till we dropped. Then took a lunch break at quick fire cafe....beautifully done up place..great brick oven baked pizzas. The vegetarian pizza we tried was tasty... priced moderately. Approx 12 usd per pizza on an average.

Stratford is a descent mall. Its not too big and not too small at the same time. They do have a pretty big movie theater inside the mall as well. The food court is ok. It at least offers a different variety of foods if youre looking to eat mall food court food. If you want something a little more upscale they have a Red Robin restaurant by the movie theater entrance.

Its an overall good mall, plenty of stores to choose from, but the west side of the mall has quite a few closed stores, I dont know how this mall would do without their anchor stores, ex. Macys, Carsons, the movie theater, and Kohls... I would really recommend going to woodfield mall if you want to take a longer drive, the have more stores and better selection

Turning into a strange combination of stores and services but if you know what you want its fine, without having to deal with woodfield or Yorktown type crowds. Good stuff for kids to do here. The fye is the best Ive ever seen (maybe the last great music/movie store around) but the restaurant selection isnt what it used to be.

I wish they had more people in this mall its a shame that theres not that many of them.I remember coming to this mall for the first time when I was 11.Me and my family decided to come here again in 2017. And still looks kinda same thing with not that much people in this mall and stores. This Mall is clean and beautiful. :)

Its not your biggest mall but its cozy. Has a great variety of tiny shops and your common ones too. Great food court. Has a lot of fun things for kids and teens to do. A nice movie theater. I would recommend to families in need for some casual fun or just wanna walk around. Great window shopping
