Its a local coffeehouse yet business minded, meaning many business meetings are conducted here in the mornings and throughout the day. Hard pressed to locate a coffee minded roast snob here or the quiet nook to relax and read the paper in. The brews, food, and prices are all good and reasonable which create the gravity for the consistent traffic. The crowd and staff are all friendly and eager to socially engage. The patio is sun soaked as well as centrally located within the charming allure of Barrington. Rest assure you will be happy you found Cook Street Coffee.

At Cook Street consistency is only second to customer service. Of course their coffee drinks are excellent. Pastries are either procured from well known did or baked in house. And they have a unique and tasty selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. But the things that keep me coming back to this independent gem are the consistency of the drinks and food and the customer service. The team seems to really care about their products and the customer experience. Its that commitment that keeps me coming back.

I had a reunion with an old friend from high school at this cafe so for that reason alone, its a place Ill always hold in high regard. That said, the iced teas they offer are my favorites. I really dont drink much coffee but my wife can always tell when its from Cook St and scolds me when its from anywhere else. For me, the little pastries are very often a quick go-to breakfast (Dont judge! Theyre delicious) and the folks behind the counter always bring good vibes. Support local, people!

Wanted to try a new coffee place outside my day-to-day realm of Starbucks. Went here around noon on a Wednesday for a business meeting. The lavender honey latte was excellent along with the Amarillo Chipotle Panini. If i pass the area again I would order a drink and sandwich to go but will not plan on another business meeting as it is impossible to find seating. Once the seats are filled by lunch time, you wont see a seat open until probably 2/2:30pm.

If you enjoy a cozy quiet environment with friendly staff, calm music and excellent coffee and tea options this is your place. If you need coffee in 2 minutes this is not the place to go. The coffee is worth the wait and it adds a nice calm feeling to your day. I like to try new things when I come in and its fun and easy to do that here.

This place is AWESOME. Not only do they have great coffee and atmosphere, they helped a couple of dopes who locked their rental truck keys and their phones inside their rental truck. We walked blocks looking for a public phone. These guys let us use theirs. So grateful for their kindness, and the great coffee.

Stopped by while visiting friends in Barrington on a Sunday afternoon. The atomosphere / music / seating were all excellent. Friendly staff made an awesome Americano for me and the Banana Bread with choco chips was phenominal. Theres a Starbucks down the street - skip that and come here.

Great service & hospitality. Offered sugar free latte as soon as I asked for nonfat. Great offer, never would have known they had sugar free flavors if hadnt offered! Really greatly appreciated! Love them and will always support local coffee shop from known on!!!!

I wish they were as numerous as some other coffee shops in the area are. I thought most coffee shops were at least arguably the best until I tried here and decided those other stores dont even know what coffee is. Hands down the best beans around.

Always great coffee, friendly service and perfect variety of music. Only disappointed when every chair is taken, but now that the weather is warmer, sitting outside is lovely, too. Love their new home-made chocolate for mochas! YUM!

Always very friendly baristas and a great atmosphere to have a meeting, study, or work on whatever you may need. Theyve done a great job adapting and serving some food items now and they also make great coffee drinks!

By far one of the best coffee houses in IL. Staff is fun, food is great. Speed of food can be an issue if busy and catching a train but plan ahead and you will be fine. Go for the quad latte, you will enjoy.

I have never had a bad cup of joe here, and were talking about dozens upon dozens of visits. The staff is friendly and, best of all, you dont get that Starbucks hipster vibe. Keep doing what you do!

Starbucks can suck it. This is the ONLY place within many miles to get good locally roasted fair trade organic coffee. Beans are supplied by Conscious Cup in Crystal Lake. Independant coffee forever!

great place. good coffee. excellent service. you can get a latte with a little art in it :) there is also a perfect cupcake place (sweet pea cakes) just next door to compliment this perfect coffee.

Quaint shop in downtown Barrington. Not a great selection of syrups if you do flavored espresso drinks, but the espresso is done well and the coffee is tasty. Parking is tough on weekends
