Joe Sippers alone brings Effingham up by a few considerable notches. I worked here for almost 7 years, so believe me when I say that this place cares about quality. All of the food is fresh, high-quality (more and more ingredients are coming from local sources), and the prepping process in incredibly clean. The place seems to get better with each passing year, and more recently theyve even begun roasting their own coffee. Its also a great environment to sit and visit or read a book (who doesnt love reading while surrounded by wonderful coffee smells?) This place will satisfy coffee and food lovers alike, so bring your appetite if its your first time. The staff here is also exceptional, and works hard to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Sometimes during the lunch hours when it gets very busy (which is often does), the orders coming out can take a bit longer due to the small facility. But please be patient and know that caring hands are working as quickly and professionally as they can to get you a quality experience. Its worth the wait!

I LOVE Joe Sippers! Im nearly addicted to their breakfast sandwiches and iced tea. The breakfast sandwich is packed with flavor and is reasonably priced. The atmosphere is cool, hip, modern, and best of all - clean. If Im ever asked what my favorite part about Effingham is, my answer will definitely be Joe Sippers. Ive never been in town around lunch time to try their sandwiches, salads, and wraps but if the breakfast is any indication, theyll be delicious too. Highly recommend this cozy, quaint, and unique cafe. Also, I love that the owners are Christians and its locally owned.

When Traveling around in 2010 summer, I stopped in Effingham, IL. This shop was my first stop (right after it rained) and it was a perfect stop. Coffee was high quality, Staff are welcoming (especially to out-of-towners like myself), It is pretty quiet and comfortable to be in. I am looking to coming back here and (Joes Pizza around the corner of this coffee shop) when I find a weekend to come back. This (Naptopwn) guy was impressed from moment one.

Stumbled upon this cafe on a long road trip. I ordered the gourmet grilled cheese. It was tiny and had one very thin slice of cheese with a tomato slice. The bread was delicious though. The grilled cheese was served with tortilla chips and nothing to dip them in! The girls behind the counter were less then thrilled to wait on us. I was not impressed and would not come back.

I gotta say, out of all the coffee houses Ive been to across the U.S., Joe Sippers took the cake on iced coffee. I ordered the blackberry and cream iced coffee and the crabmeat salad sandwich. Both were excellent but the coffee was exceptional! As a driver who travels all across the country stopping at various coffee shops, I can tell you that this one is worth going to!

Combo coffee shop and cafe with made to order drinks and sandwiches. Dont miss dessert, which for me was one of the best cheesecakes Ive had in a long time...for $3.75! Counter service can be slow during lunch rush and, because food is prepared to order, it can take 10+ minutes to receive it. So, be patient and relax in a nicely restored building in Downtown F-ingham.

Joe Sippers is amazing in every way. Quality of drinks and ingredients, own roastery, quality and taste of food and pastries, displaying and supporting local art, service and knowledge of staff. Even the decor and atmosphere! I grew up in Chicago and lived in Champaign, and this cafe easily puts to shame every cafe I have ever been to in either big city.

Fresh good quality salads and well made lattes. We are driving from Austin to Chicago area and were SO tired of truck stop food & coffee. Joe Sippers Cafe was a welcome break and only about a mile off the highway. Friendly staff too!! Also, its not every cafe that can meet our dairy free and wheat free dietary restrictions, but they can here.

I went in for espresso and was not disappointed. I will have to say it was some of the best I have had. From now on I will be driving past exit 160 Starbucks (morebucks) and driving here. If your looking for coffee/expresso try it out and see if you have the same experience.

Had the Yogurt Parfait, Strawberry Smoothie with Energy Boost Ginseng, Soup of the day Broccoli Cheddar, and Pita Panini w/ chips. It was delicious. There is parking right by the side entrance and the atmosphere is cozy with lots of space. Highly recommend!

Joe Sippers has the atmosphere of a big-city coffeehouse just a block off the square in Effingham. Their drinks are just as good (if not better) than Starbucks and you can also feel good that youre supporting a local business!

Its a cute little local cafe. I am glad it exists, but when I was there most recently, my guests chair was broken and there was a bunch of wilted lettuce in my salad. I will be going there again to give it another chance.

One of my favorite places to in town to eat and to grab coffee. They have a fancy breakfast sandwich that is amazing! Trust me, try the sandwich. They also have a great lunch menu with wraps and sandwiches.

As small cafe owner I rely on the supremely roasted coffee which is second to none in my opinion. I have never been let down by a single cup of joe yet!! Excellent quality and customer service.

Everyone in town loves it. I recommend this contemporary yet comfortable coffee shop to anyone who wants great food (even vegan) and spectacular coffee/fruit drinks. :) goodstuff guys.

I recommend the Santa Fe wrap and they have fantastic coffee. Can occasionally be crowded during lunch, but for good reason.

Pumpkin iced chai is literally the best drink Ive ever had in my life. Very smooth strong pumpkin flavor!!
