I booked an appointment to get my Pomeranian Mowgli groomed yesterday (June 2nd). Was hoping to get it that day, but they were booked, which I understand completely, tis the season for dogs to get haircuts. The lady on the phone booked me the following day (June 3rd) for 4:00. We show up ten minutes before hand to get the process of getting him cut and clean sped up (had to show proof of vaccinations). I walked in and was greeted to mounds of hair on the floor with not a single dog getting their haircut. Shouldnt you clean up after every cut?? I informed the ladies behind the counter that I was there for my 4:00 appointment for Mowgli. They look at each other and inform me that neither of them had a Mowgli for an appointment at 4. "Are you sure youre in the right location? You didnt go with PetSmart across the street? Whats the phone number that you called?" I called THAT location. She went to check out front. Another woman comes in and claims that I had made an appointment for the meridian location... how? when I called YOUR store wanting to be close to home, not in Meridian... "We cant even book appointments for other locations." Then how did I get booked at the meridian store when the phone number on my phone is YOUR number?!! Meridian was never called by me! We were practically ushered out the door, it wasnt their problem. We call the meridian location when we got to the truck. They informed us that a Mowgli never showed up for their 11:30 appointment, but it was booked under a different name of the owner and different phone number... Clearly NOT ME! How can you not keep track of appointments when a computer does it for you? I take my dog there at least twice a summer to get shaved, never in this location (Im from Montana). Im a two dog household (a husky as well). I buy my dog food 35 pound bags twice a month ($50+ a bag), beds, toys, EVERYTHING. Every dog thing in my house is from Petco. Ill go across the street and get better business. This place is an absolute joke!

So I took my lab weimaraner mix into the grooming section today because hes blowing his coat really bad after being neutered. Kyle booked my appointment a few days ago and after telling him what was going on he told me the $27 dollar wash had no guarantee with the shedding coming back but for an additional $20 it would guarantee his shedding would stop because of the type of shampoo conditioner and the drying process. I thought it was a lil far fetched but it was "guaranteed" so I went with it. When I dropped him off at noon the gal there assured me of the same thing and told me my dog would be ready for pick up between 4-5pm. At 4:30pm I hadnt received a phone call so I called the store and they told me he had been ready for over 30 min. I asked why I didnt get a phone call and they said they didnt do that. So I went to pick him up and they sent me to front desk to pay first so I did. Came back to get my dog and they let him walk through large amounts of hair from the other three dogs they were grooming which left him covered in other dogs hair so I brushed it off and grabbed a hand full of his coat and low and behold a ton of his hair came out. I asked Kyle about the guarantee and he told me they cant guarantee anything the dogs going to shed....duh. However, with that being said he was worse than when I took him in. I went to the front desk asked for a refund and got it they were going to give me a full refund but since they did wash him I only let them give me partial. The grooming manager then came out and told me that he hadnt been groomed properly during his 5 hour stay and that if I brought him back tomorrow shed do it herself and make sure it was done right. SHOULDVE BEEN DONE RIGHT THE FIRST 5 HOURS!!!!! NEVER GOING BACK AND DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!

I would not recommend getting anything at this location. I went in with my daughter for her Birthday just looking around and was not once asked if I needed help. After 20 min of deciding to get two fish and getting everything they needed to live outside of a Pet store & spending well close to $200, I had to track someone down to asking for help from a girl at the register that I interupted texting. After waiting anther little while nother staff member said that a 3.7 gallon tank was not good enough for the gold fish and that its not a healthy size for the size they will grow to. Very dirty tanks with lots of dead fish.... I will not be going back and suggesting you to go to the PetSmart on Federal way. How is it that I cant make two fish a good home but those fish can live in a bigger tank with twice as much fish. ....

The girl we had to deal with was very condescending and was very lazy about her job. We came in for ear cleaning and nail trim, but my sister left there feeling stupid and upset with no services done. All over rabies verification and whether the tags were proper verification or not(which I get) but she absolutely didnt have act like my sister was asking her a stupid question. And then proceeded to give this evil "Sorry not sorry" smile when she was talking to my sister. Just lazy and condescending. So we made a excutive decision to just pay extra to be treated kindly at the vet. What really kills me is that I have heard many MANY complaints about this place, but decided to give it a chance...to see for myself and turns out, my friends were right.

I recently decided to start up another aquarium. In the past I have raised fish of a wide variety. I brought this to the attention of the blond tattooed fish lady because she was trying to sell me a plethora of items that I already have. She was snarky with me and told me that because of this she couldnt warranty the fish. I also had noticed there were many tanks under observation for being sick. She proceeded to shake the bags as she handed them to me. Then ran up to the register to tell the lady to write a special note on my receipt that said no returns. I have never had a worse experience at a pet store in my life.

Customer service is absolutely horrible at the Milwaukee location. We have come in 5 or 6 times in the last 4 or so weeks and have only had luck one time finding a person to help us get some saltwater fish. We were ready to drop a couple hundred dollars on fish and anemones and absolutely no one could be found. When we decided to leave, the only 2 employees we saw were outside smoking and talking to each other. While they were doing this there was someone on the phone left on hold for over 5 minutes. We will not be back to this store even if they do have a great selection of saltwater fish.

Understaffed, and the workers there are incredibly rude. All the fish are very poorly taken care of and the staff act like know it alls, even though they are giving out incorrect information about fish. Ive never seen them actually treat the sick goldfish and theyve knowingly sold me goldfish with anchor worms at full price. Very disappointed, its only this petco and the people who work in aquatics that I have a problem with.
