Went there to purchase boxing gloves & protective cup for my son. When I swiped my card to pay there system froze & the payment didnt show on there end However my phone notified me that the money was taken out of my account & that they were paid. The manager would not let me take the product that I paid for out of the store. After around 40 minutes & my blood pressure going thru the roof I caved in & re swiped my card & got charged again. So I paid twice for the same stuff. I was told 1 of the charges would be removed. That was Sunday. Today is Tuesday the charges cleared & was left double charged. I called my bank & disputed it. I called big 5 corporate office & they told me they would take care of the problem & credit my account. This is all fine & dandy however a simple purchase turned out to be a logistic nightmare Plus I had to waste almost 2 hours of my time on the phone straitening this issue out. Also Sunday I felt like I was being treated very unfairly at the store, embaressed my little boy. My son told me he never wants to go into that big 5 store ever again. I agreed & we wont. We drove 35 minutes each way for this garbage. Ill never go in there again. At least the corporate office was understanding & cool about it promising me they would credit my account. Stupid manager stupid store

2 staff members looked at me while I tried to signal for their attention to get me 2 pairs of shoes to try on, acknowledged me, then looked away. They continued having a personal conversation. I walked out after 5 minutes and bought the same 2 pairs of sneakers i was interested in at the sporting goods store immediately next to them !
