When I lived in Valdosta, I visited the Warehouse Package Store to buy wine, or whenever I needed advice about what wine to choose, or wanted to try something new. They carry wine from all over the world, many of them quite reasonably priced. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and even cheerful. For many of us, it was THE place to go for wine. I’m now living out of state, but wanted to buy a case of wine for a friend of mine in Valdosta, so called the Warehouse Package Store. They were not able to deliver it to him because of a Georgia state law, but we worked out an arrangement where I could pay for the wine, and my friend could pick it up. This time, I asked the advice of Ronnie, who was terrific. We ended up with a half case each of my friend’s two favorite wines. Great advice and superb customer service. Truly a 5-star store!

Apparently a few customers have complained about seeing law abiding citizens carrying a holstered pistol for self defense while shopping. This has led the owner to declare the establishment a defenseless victim (gun free) zone. I took my $100+ shopping trip to Publix and will continue to do so until this policy is reversed.

This place sucks. I dont know if I looked like a criminal or not but I used my debit card and the young guy said my card read decline. I left there went to another establishment used my card and got cash back off it. Ill never go back to this place..
