I preordered my Nintendo switch at this location. I planned on picking up my new console on Monday, as I had to work all weekend and it was inconvenient for me to pick it up any earlier. I was informed by a friend that GameStop planned to sell every preordered console that wasnt picked up by Saturday on a first come first serve basis stsrting Sunday. So I would have shown up on Monday to pickup my PREORDERED console, only to be told it was no longer in stock? That is unacceptable. So I picked up my console today (Friday) despite my inconvenience, and I heard the employee tell a customer on the phone that they were out of switch consoles today, but to call back Sunday because theyll be selling unclaimed preorders on a first come first serve basis. At that moment I decided to never make another purchase from GameStop (outside of the preorder I had already committed to). I payed for my console and when I declined the employees offer to sell me a game, he began to ask questions like: " youre going to buy a console without buying any games?". " What are you going to play?" "Why even buy a console if you have no games for it?". There was another customer in line behind me who was informing me about the wonders of amiibos and all the things you could get in game from them. But I had already made my decision not to support this store anymore than what I had agreed to do. With business practices like these, I wont be giving GameStop anymore of my money.
