I moved to Marietta months ago and decided to go to Advanced eye of Marietta for my annual exam based on good reviews of Dr David Fierce and the office is in my insurance network. My husband went to the office with me. Dr Fierce was very nice and professional but a a little long wait though. I have got my contact lens every year and know that its in my Insurances formulary. So I wanted my contact lens prescription to be finalized and went ahead to get them ordered. When I checked out, Jenny told us my contact lens are non-formulary and charged me fitting lens fee $59 in addition to my copay. My husband asked her what are in the formulary. Another lady looked at the computer and read out loud my contact lens brand. Jenny did not fix it because she already charged my credit card and said she would call my insurance after lunch and call me back. It was our big mistake that we left without getting it solved. I called my insurance and according to them, I was overcharged. She never called me back. I called her back about at 4:00 pm and told her how she is supposed to bill. She said she billed online and it does not allow her to do it. Plus she was very rude. I work in the pharmacy and know very well about online billing. I decided to call my insurance again and was told that they did not see any claims yet. Then I know Jenny is unprofessional and lying. I called her back to cancel my contact lens order. She said cashier is closed for today. She cant give me refund. She will call my insurance tomorrow and call me back. From that time I dont think I am able to deal with her over the phone. We went to the office the day after (fortunately we were in vacation that week). Donna cancelled my order and refunded but she could not give us a receipt yet because Jenny was not in the office. Donna told us she would email us when Jenny came. She did and called us after she emailed us the refund receipt. Jenny called us little later and went around again. We asked her to email us the provided services. She said she cant email and we never receive any email from her. What!??? Donna just emailed us the refund receipt Sorry about my long story. I feel bad for Dr Fierce. They will lose customers because of unprofessional and sucky services from Jenny. WORST and MOST DISHONEST service Ive got at a healthcare professional office!!!

I have been going to Dr Fierce since the late 80s and have followed him wherever he may go. Always top notch service and very specific exam. Started going to him because he gave better exams than the optometrist my family was going to. My parents still see him (they are in their late 60s), my sisters family, my brothers family, and my family all still go to Dr Fierce. If you have a long wait it is because someone has an eye emergency that is getting higher priority. You will find that when you have an eye medical emergency that you will get prompt service because of the seriousness of your condition. If you are only there for a check up you have to appreciate who is getting priority service (especially if you have an emergency). Front office staff sometimes doesnt communicate well but if you express concerns of the front staff not doing their jobs to the doctors, they are grateful for the knowledge! They do their best to find good people. Contact exams are done very well and Dr Fierce is fantastic at fitting for contacts. He is very patient and will take the time you need for the best fit for contacts and when figuring out new prescription. It has been a privilege to continue to have an eye doctor I can trust with not only good care for me, but for also my husband and children(and my parents, my sister and her family, and my brother and his family)!!!!

This place sucks. I ordered a pair of glasses and waited 90 days without hearing anything. I finally went in and was told the frame I ordered was not available. I ordered a second frame and again waited 90 days without a word. I have called this place again and again only to be told the up the optometrist would have to call me back and was assured I would receive a call before the end of day. No that never happened either. At this point I just want to get my money back but the problem is with my work schedule and their crappy hours I can never catch anyone there. I would love a call to resolve this issue

I have been an avid fan of this practice for several years but you are only as good as the people you have working for you and things have gone down hill! Wendy was a jewel and always on top of everything. Since she left, Ive been placed on indefinite holds, hung up on, and most recently even advised that contacts I ordered still arent in after 3 weeks (when they normally arrive within 5 days). So cant see and cant tolerate incompetence anymore. Its a shame for the doctors who are so good but Im seeking a new eye clinic.

This was my first time having an eye exam. Dr. Long explained everything in detail and made sure I was comfortable with the process. He took his time to explain the results and talk about next steps. He was never in a rush and was really nice about it the whole time. You can tell he enjoys what he does and knows it well (I believe it is a family business previously owned by his dad). I brought my little cousin with me for the ride and he treated her like family and made her laugh. I highly recommend!!

I was visiting family from out of town and had an eye emergency. Advanced Eye was able to see me within a few hours of my call. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, even with my almost 3 year old granddaughter and 2 month old grandson in the waiting room. Dr. David Fierce was efficient, gentle and thorough in his exam and provided complete explanations about all tests, medications and future treatment plans. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone searching for a top-notch eye center.

Dr. Long is the only reason they get 3 stars. Staff has high turnover so never get used to the same nurse or staff. Hour long waits each visit, taking others back that show up after you, nurses who dont practice proper hygeinic technique... You see what I mean? Price is always more expensive as well though you should know that going in a private business. Id avoid it unless you can handle all that, then ask for Dr. long as he is the nicest guy. Sad that after 18 years Im done using them.

Beware if you wear contacts, they throw in hidden fees for examination. I waited an hour and half just to be seen by the doctor, who even went and examined another patient who got there after me. This is not the first time I have recieved terrible service from them, otherwise I would let it slide. They lost my business to Sams club who give far better customer service and patient care and better prices.

Advanced Eye is fabulous...I had an eye emergency never seen them before the eye emergency and they worked me into the schedule that day. My apt was for 1:00 I was taken back right at 1:00. People were very sweet and make you feel right at home. I went because my husband goes there. Worth every dollar much better then going to a Wal-mart Optometrist.
