Jefferson, GA Verizon MY EXPERIENCE on 3/31/2016 I was considering going from an old iPhone 4 to a new iPhone 6s. I was told by Mary (who was quite nice) that my total monthly cost would go from $40 a month to roughly $41 a month. She also mentioned that I would get a $64 credit for my old phone. She even showed me the $64 on her paper. After working with her manager for about 30 minutes through all the details, Mary had my new phone activated and ready to go. This is when she told me that I owed another $180 to cover taxes and accessories that were needed for the phone. I was very surprised that she didnt explain that before activating the new phone. I didnt know what to do, so I just paid it. Mary then told me that I could not get $64 for my old phone unless I came back the next day. So I returned the very next day. This is when she told me that there was a specific program that I had to be a part of in order to get the $64. She told me that I am not part of that program so they could not give me the $64. She said they can only offer me $4 for my old phone. Mary then recommended a couple places that would be able to offer me more money for my old phone. When I called those places, they said that my phone was too old for them to offer me any money. I called back to Mary one more time before leaving this review. I said that most companies would keep their promises and make it right if they promised their loyal customer a deal. I asked her if she was at least willing to keep her word that she promised yesterday. Mary just apologized and said that she could not do it. That is when I told her that I think it is only right to leave a review of my experience. She said that she understood. WHAT WAS PROMISED $64 for Old Phone END RESULT Loss of $180 $4 offered for Old Phone (instead of $64) NET DIFFERENCE (Over-Promised and Under-Delivered) $240 I do not like leaving reviews like this, but I believe it was appropriate to let others know my experience.

I recently had one of the best experiences with one of the customer service representatives from Verizon in Jefferson, GA. The young lady Mary was so pleasant from beginning to end. I have been unhappy with the coverage I have with my current cell phone carrier and decided to see what Verizon could offer. After patiently letting me explain what my complaints and needs were, Mary gave me several options that they could offer and told me she was a loyal customer as well. I would like to say thank you to Mary for her patience and outstanding customer service. It is so rare to find people that are so polite and care about really trying to help a customer. I hope management knows what a rare gem they have in Mary! Thank you and I will be coming in to do my business with Mary soon!
