This store is nasty...No--its the nasty people who shop there that make it that way and its disgusting. They have no respect for products. themselves....they look and throw stuff back on shelves or drop them (with their trash) on the floor. Oh the bathrooms---disgusting people who dont know how to flush a toilet is putting iit mildly.... housekeeping service cant keep the restrooms clean fast enough. And what company puts the only soap and only paper towel dispensers right next to a two bowl sink. If person is using the right sink....she is blocking the soap/towel dispenser, the left bowl user has to wait...meanwhile the airblowers on the wall do not work. Speaking of not working...the locks on the stalls are always broken. . How does that happen!??? And.the ESCALATORS!!!! What gives with them??? They are always out of service!!!!!!! They must know when Im planning a trip to Walmart. I see carts are alwaysstuck midway when they stop....warning to me to take the elevator to the below building parking garage. What gives with this store??? I only shop there as needed---I drive right by there on my way home from work. In a few months that will change and I wont have to shop at this Walmart (Chamblee-Tucker Road) anymore. Ill have time to go out of my way to the Ashford-Dunwoody location (if I must go to Walmart) where the store and cliente are cleaner (about everything), and management and employees care about the store. This Chamblee store sucks---they really need to clean up their act over there!! Keep the trash picked up Inside and outside of the store, keep the carts working properly, keep the escalators and elevators running, keep the bathroom clean, and have customer service reps smile. OH---stop restocking shelves during peek shopping hours---this is so annoying and frustrating. Do this kind of work during late night time hours!!!! Hey, get it together over there!!! UPDATE: two years later..Aug 2016 > By all the bad reviews, there still have been no changes. This store is still nasty on the outside....some improvement on the inside, tho. I was there the other day with a cart full of groceries -lots of frozen items. My mistake! It was 95 degrees outside. The two cart escalators to the underground parking were not working (as they NEVER are) and only one of the two elevators was working with a long line of customers waiting to get there carts on it. Management---do you not read these reviews????????????? What is the problem over there????????????????

I use this Walmart often because it is the closest to my school (Oglethorpe U) and Im used to crappy walmarts but normally you just have to get your stuff and get out. I recently had to return and item because it was the wrong thing when I got it (it advertised as cordless... but not that it was battery powered... I needed rechargeable) I ordered the right thing online and had it sent to the store. It said it was in so I went to return the old one and get the new one. Returning the old one was surprisingly not a problem (other than the 6 girls walking around doing nothing while there was a line and the tellers slight attitude) then when I went to the back to pick up there was no one there and the "screen" to get an associate was not there either so I had to walk to get someone. Fine... if only 4 employees didnt walk by to the back shooting the breeze seeing I needed assistance (they literally glanced at me, one girl waved, and walked to the back!!!) but I got someone and he had no clue what he was doing... but he got someone else and I appreciate that (I can handle new and ill-taught but they need to ask for help and not just sit pushing buttons) they get a manager and he apologizes because the item I ordered (that morning) is not in, even though I got an email stating it was ready to pick up. Now I dont have the crappy one or the new one and I need it for work. Then the icing on the cake. I left rechargeable batteries in the old product (thats my fault), but when I call to get information they dont answer for 5 min so I hang up and call the vision center. She proceeds to read me the phone number despite my just telling her I tried it. I ask here to page a manager and transfer the call to them. They finally answer and tell me to just come in and talk with customer service (with an attitude). Ive ranted enough about it but basically I was very displeased!

I really dont know where to begin to review this worst Wal-Mart ever. First, it looks to me like the parking lot at this fairly new store is crumbling into the parking structure below and into the ground below at the ramp. There is a sidewalk thats heaved six inches into the air and even a call and sending photos to the engineers for Wal-mart has produced no repair in the maybe six months since I sent the pictures. Parking is completely inadequate and a frustrating mess. Girl who answers phone at pharmacy barely speaks English and with an accent so heavy you can neither communicate with her or understand her. At a pharmacy! Where meds can mean life or death! I sincerely hope shes not receiving calls for prescriptions from drs. offices. As for the snarky male reviewer blaming the victim of the rude Hispanics out-of-control leering at every attractive female just trying to shop: speak about what you know about, honey. I only go to the store Sunday mornings deliberately because thats when Ill encounter the fewest of them cause theyre in church, and make sure I look like hell when I go not that that matters to them-they still follow me around no matter what I wear. I like to take them to the feminine products aisle and when they still pretend to just happen to be shopping for everything Im shopping for I scream at them in perfect Spanish and watch them run. I had to call security to remove a black guy who said something nasty to me about my figure guess which part. I cant tell you how many times Ive made food and other purchases here only to get home and find that the package had been opened, part of product removed, and package sometimes glued shut again. Im making one last trip here this morning to pick up one last prescription and then bye bye Chamblee Wal-mart!

The quality of their produce is subpar compared to the “George Town” - Kroger veggies, fruit, and name brand produce selection (Dole, Garden fresh, Ken’s veggie or fruit dips, etc), which is a very low bar to compare to. I went this location to grab a tomato for dinner, some apples, and a couple of bananas for this week’s lunch. The 3 or 4 barely pleasing tomatoes I touch-tested were small and bruised; the apples I picked through were ashy, with this strange white film, and most had minor brown or soft spots; and, after I went a couple of feet to finally select my bananas, I just set my produce down in the middle of the isle in complete disgust at the level of degradation of all of the bananas I saw but dare not touch. I went over to the lotion section, picked up my Family size Jergens, and left with that one item as the only acceptable prepackaged grocery product I could tolerate to purchase from this location. Also, theyre not a 24/7 Wal-mart which = sux. Avoid at all cost if you value your health, valuable time, and patience.
