So I heard about this place on WSB Belinda Skeltons Atlanta living a month or two ago. Ive been wanting to go there an I did finally last night. Great location downtown, right off 10th street. There were about 10 people in there and I waited about 5 minutes to get sereved. They were having trouble with there Mac register (get rid of it please) so I was patient. The people were friendly, I realized it wasnt a mass moving doghnut machine like Krispy or Dunken, but thats ok. They definitly are lacking in an expedient system for service but the employees were frendly being understaffed as one said. It happens. So, I bought a dozen for my family. With tip I spent $20. They didnt have any red velvet which was dissapointing but They still had a good selection. The A Town Lived up to what I heard. The Dulce de leche needs to be filled, not glazed. But it was good. The rasberry filling was amazing but......BUT.... The oreo was the dissapointing one. It was good, when I cut it in half i drooled, but it s filling had a weird taste to it, sweet but like somene else described "floral" Maybe? My hope is they develop a system thats more expediant. The prices where on the high side, avg $1.80 a doghnut. So i felt it was a bit overrated. They are decent size and the rest were inhaled by my kids so I know there good having tried a bit of each. I still will go back again, I just hope they invest on improvments to how they deliver. Keep the staff, there good people. I think this place has a lot of potential to compete with the big 2 down the road. For taste i will say 4 1/2 though.

Wow, this is where the tooth fairy takes you to get your teeth to fall out =) Seriously good doughnuts. Not your ordinary glazed or cream filled either. No. These are serious. Punch you in the head and beat you in to submission doughnuts. I mean that in a good way. They are not normal. They are from another planet. They are excellent. I ordered a number of doughnuts here... 1.Nutella... I love Nutella, I was hoping for more in this doughnut. Probably the only let down of the bunch. 2. Strawberry & Cream - Fantastic cream and fresh sliced strawberries in a halved doughnut. Great choice! 3. Orange Star... a cream filled sweet orange glazed. Great, but a tooth killer as far as the sweetness 4. A Town Cream - A cream filled done perfectly. 5. Smores Doughnut - Very good, although another tooth slayer in the making. All in all, a fantastic little place. Its off of 10th and Hemp Hill... If you are looking for a place to Eat... Anticos my favorite Pizza place in the USA is one or two blocks away (on Hemp Hill). Sublime doughnuts is clean, relaxing, charming. The treats are tasty and a bit pricy ~$1.50-$1.75 each but well worth the trip to the dentist.

Service - 3 stars. Was 5 stars, but my last few night visits the service was not up to par. Multiple types of donuts were not available, and it was like they did not care. Ambiance - 5 Stars White Chocolate Peach Fritter - 2 Stars. Dont get me wrong its great. But has no peaches. I got tiny bit of peach in the whole fritter. Add more peaches. Chocolate Banana Fritter - 1 Star. No banana flavor. Caramel Apple Fritter - 2 Stars - Not enough apple flavor. Orange Cream - 3 stars. Good Flavor but bit too sweet for my taste Fresh Strawberry and Cream - 4 stars - Sweet but great. Must have Oreo - 5 Stars. Must Have. Nutella - 1 Star. Just a plain doughnut with Nutella on it. Didnt care for it much. Chocolate Wild Berry Fritter - Same issue as other flavor. The berry flavor is missing. A-town Mocha - 5 stars. Its amazing. Perfect combination. Must have Salt & Vinegar - 3.5 Stars. Something different, must try. Dulce le leche - 1 star. Plain doughtnut with caramel on top. Nothing special. Rasberry Filled Heart - 3.5 Stars - Both powdered and chocolate covered versions are good.

As a Georgia Tech student I know good, cheap food, but then again these doughnuts are not cheaply made, they are divine. The owner exudes the great enterprising spirit, and he keeps it fresh (no pun intended) and makes one heck of a doughnut. His shop is convenient to get to, and not too far from the Marta station, you can take the bus (green route from campus or the 12 from midtown). Kamal makes Gourmet Doughnuts with throwbacks such as a caramel apple fritter, and a mean butterfinger doughnut. Mango is one of my favourites, too. I definitely recommend that you try out this doughnut shop and buy a dozen for your co-workers. (carbs arent really that bad as long as you eat right and exercise, besides these doughnuts are better than comfort food.) As much as I enjoy a hot Krispy Kreme, you cant compare the flavour of Sublime Doughnuts. So far no complaints but will update as necessary.

I LOVE donuts, and these are the best donuts Ive ever had!!! Ive had most of them here, but the strawberries & cream is the best for sure. Real strawberries!! And I think theyve added more strawberries recently, yum!! It doesnt make you feel disgusting after you eat it like dunkin donuts & all of the other donut places. The other flavors are awesome too, Im more of a fan of the not so sugary ones, like the nutella, chocolate on chocolate, chocolate banana fritter, just to name a few. Their coffee is also really good. Make sure you go in the morning, while they are still fresh. They still taste awesome throughout the day, but nothing beats a fresh strawberries and cream first thing in the morning :) :)

After reading reviews in national foodie mags, I motivated one early Saturday to snag a dozen doughnuts. Holly Hannah, deliciousness dipped in glaze! The A - a Boston cream shaped like an A - is my all time favorite. The strawberries and cream - fresh berries and cream cheese custard-type filling - is an upscale spin on a breakfast treat. Other adventurous flavors continue to impress no matter how wacky they sound. Get there early to ensure you have ample selection to pick from. Know that no matter how hard you try to be polite and smile the staff will come across as put-out and grumpy. Forgive them because they were up before the sun to satisfy your need for gourmet sugar in the morning.

I love this place I speak highly of this place to everyone I know. But my donut buying habits have just run into serious conflict with the policies of sublime donuts. For some reason assuming it to evenly distribute Donuts across their entire perspective customer base there is a two dozen donut limit for walk ins. I did not ask how long of a temple window I needed to create in order to purchase the third dozen donuts I need for the office meeting. As such I will have to purchase substandard but hopefully hot fresh donuts instead from Krispy Kreme. My only hope is that the end of today at sublime donuts there are at least 12 donuts remaining unsold wasted those could have been mine.

Omgggg!!! Delicious donuts with a friendly (& patient) staff. We ordered pretty much one of everything so I will highlight a few. Must try: salt and vinegar (unique for sure)...strawberries and cream (lord have mercy)...honey glazed bowtie (simple and literally dissolves in your mouth)...Oreo (for cookie lovers) and sweet potato (mmmm). All of them were great, including the ones I didnt name (all the fritters were good btw). Not a lot of seating so if you are wanting to stick around with friends get there early the line gets long quickly. And if you ask for a cup of water dont expect anything fancy, its straight from the sink lol...but you dont come here for the water.
