I took my glasses there 2 times before this situation and had no issues with them. I took 2 pair of frames to get new lenses put in before Christmas and informed them that I was moving to Miami and I needed them before I left by January 2, 2015. I was told no problem but that was incorrect. I called to pick up my first pair and was told they put the wrong amount of tint on the lenses. I then was told that I could pick up both pair by 12/28/15 and they werent ready. the story goes that their vendor was off for the holiday and didnt inform them that they would be close for the last week of the year...pissed me off. He extended to ship my glasses to me in Miami and I agreed. I called January 6 from Miami and gave him the address he said he would ship them in about an hour. I called that Friday and was told that the were coming back to him because USPS said they were undeliverable that was straight bull----. I gave the correct address to them and now this is whats going on. He then told me he has a friend that works at the Post Office that said they were going to ship them back to me once they returned and I should have them by Thurs which is today. He gave me a tracking number that doesnt update so I dont know where my glasses are and I will not recommend going to them because my glasses are high end designer frames that cost a pretty penny. Poor service no follow up...I say if you arent getting them right back in an hour dont do it.

I have had many pairs repaired by this company and they do a fantastic job! Not sure why there are so many poor reviews but I could not disagree more. I discovered this company when I lived in Atlanta ten years ago and Ive continued to use them after I moved away. I broke the side arm on a pair of cool metal frame sunglasses. All other repair shops refused to even try to repair them--they assured me that the pressure would cause them to break again. I decided to try Eyewear Repair Express and they put the broken metal pieces back together. That repair was ten years ago and they are still in perfect condition! A few years ago my dog sat on my vintage plastic frame sunglasses. I did not hesitate to send them to Eyewear Repair Express. I was amazed at the job they did--you cannot even see the crack! I told them I did not care how long the repair took, as long as it was done well. The repair was perfect and they repaired and mailed my glasses to me in one week. I think that is pretty fantastic. Considering the amount of damage and the age of the frames, I felt their repair charge of $39 was very reasonable. Today I talked to a technician about another pair I just sent--he estimated a 48-72 hour repair time. Shipping will add a day or two to the repair time but I think it is totally worth it. I have used this company several times during the past ten years and Ive had nothing but positive experiences.

Service and a good price. Last night, I put my knee on my bed and leaned forward to move my cat off my pillow and mashed my glasses. Im a large person and since I was half-asleep, I mashed my glasses (tri-focals) terribly. I found this eyeglass repair store was not very far from me by checking on the internet. The reviews I read were a bit scary but I needed to get help because I knew my efforts would probably be unsuccessful and make things worse, perhaps ruining an easy fix. (The bridge between was bent and out alignment, along with the bows and frame). I found another pair that I had never worn because the nose bridge was too big and brought them along to see if they could be altered to be wearable (just in case the one I mashed needed to be left, or in case they broke completely). When I walked in, I was greeted warmly, I showed the person behind the counter and he gave me a price for both repairs that seemed great. Good service. Both pairs for glasses are fixed for far, far less than what I would have paid for a new set of glasses. (Under $26). I had thought I would have to pay far more, judging from my research. A very pleasant experience. If I ever had another problem like this, I would not hesitate to use them again.

I personally took my titanium flex frames on a Saturday for soldering the bridge. While soldering, the left lense was scratched (and the soldering job was less than subtle). Fine, accidents happen, they agreed to order a replacement lense. Two weeks later I go in for the new lense. Well, this time their equipment "cut the lense too small". Well, I guess sometimes lightning strikes twice. This time I left the frames because I was assured the replacement would arrive by Wednesday and they would be ready by the following Saturday. Guess what, they havent been able to get them ready because there are " 86 pairs of glasses ahead" of mine. Finally, another week later, the glasses were completed and I am back in my specs. Seems there were some miscommunications about how long the lense remake would take. I was assured this will be communicated better to customers in the future. Moral of the story... Decent result for a decent price. At least they care enough to make things right when they get sideways.

Avoid this place like the plague. The staff are inept. They lie about repair times, take on jobs they cant handle and are disingenuous to the extreme. I took in two pairs of damaged sunglasses. The one pair was fixed quite badly, they put in new lenses very quickly, but the lenses are very bad quality and they cracked the frames in the process of replacing the lenses. The other pair needed a frame repair. I was told they would be repaired in a week. It took three months!! THREE MONTHS! Everytime I called to find out what was going on they would lie and come up with excuses. Finally when I received the glasses they looked disastrous, they were skew and the plastic areas were all melted and discolored. When I put them on the lady behind the counter says without flinching "ow wow, those look amazing". I would have died laughing if I hadnt been so angry. Please do not go here. You will regret it.

Interesting to see the mix of reviews here and Yelp. Had good experience after I was fidgeting with an expensive pair of Rx sunglasses and broke a hinge which connected the arm. I had no other glasses with me while driving in this area. It couldnt be fixed by a major chain optician and he recommended this place. I didnt want to buy a new pair because I have several others with prescriptions over 2 years old & Id then have to replace all. Anyway, service was very friendly and courteous by all employees. Fixed in about 20 minutes while I waited for about $40. They give a 6 month warranty buy claim it should last longer if treated properly. I hope to update this then. If it lasts and doesnt break off, theyll have my business forever & Ill recommend. I think it depends on what type of repair you have.
