ABOVE AND BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS!! *NOTE: Look on Facebook for 100+ reviews!* I was referred by my uncle to Steel Quill Tattoo since he grew up with the owner, Tony. At first I was disappointed that I was unable to have Tony give me my tattoo since I was only able to come in this past Sunday. This tattoo that I got is to honor my uncle for being my best friend since age 12-13 years old. I actually came up with my tattoo idea on my own but needed it to be cleaned up to look more professional and make it more personalized to describe my uncle. I thought that there couldnt be anyone better than Tony to help me get this tattoo accomplished since hes known my uncle as young kids. I started to hold off on the tattoo and wait till another time to do it either by waiting for Tony or settle for someplace close to home. After giving thought, I told Tony if he will assist in cleaning up my design, Id like to come in on Sunday to give his other tattoo artist, Stas, a try. Let me tell you, I DID NOT regret it! Tony cleaned up my design and also drew up another design idea for me to look at when I got there. Stas is totally AMAZING! This beautiful lady had nothing but patients with me the moment I walked in the door! She went above and beyond to make sure that every single detail I wanted on this tattoo is perfect in my opinion! I think we spent almost a full two hours going over and editing details on the drawing, the font, and the colors! Then after we got details squared away, she spent another approximately 2 hours tattooing me. At first I was tense because this is my second time getting a tattoo done but this is my first one with Steel Quill. About 10-15 minutes into Stas tattooing me, I found myself so much more relaxed with her versus when I got my last tattoo done a year ago by a different artist at a different location. Stas was very gentle, let me talk her ears off just so I could distract myself, and she never once stopped for a break but she did tell me before she started my tattoo that at anytime I feel I need a break to let her know. The quality of this tattoo is worth way more than what I was charged! Also, I didnt lose the details that meant the most to me from when I first drew my original design. All Stas did to my original was clean it up, even it out, and it stands out way more than I expected which has gone above and beyond my expectations (yes this is a good thing)!!! I have received tons of compliments on this tattoo and Ive only had it for two days now. Even the healing process so far is going A LOT more smoothly than from when I had my last tattoo done a year ago. The MOST IMPORTANT thing of all is that my uncle loves it and said that I couldnt have described him any better with any other design!!! Stas, THANK YOU a million times for everything! I will be back once I figure out other unique designs I want to have done! Stas, please check your email soon because I sent you a design of what my husband wants to get done soon. Stas, youve got a wonderful personality and a very unique style and I absolutely LOVE it!

I wanted a nose piercing so I called them up yesterday at 2pm. Melissa answered the phone and she was professional and friendly. She answered my questions and told me to come on in. I drove over and she greeted me with a smile and the same professionalism that came through on the phone. She was great, she turns out to be the piercer. She explained everything thoroughly to me, told me everything that would happen every step of the way. She immediately made me feel at ease. Like I said earlier, extremely professional and thorough. The shop is clean and the atmosphere was great. Also, the owner Tony actually took time to come over and talk to me and essentially welcome me to his shop. I will be returning in the near future for some new ink.

The environment is immediately friendly upon entrance, and everyone there seems to know what theyre doing and seem to do it very well. Got my nose pierced here roughly three months ago. After a different shop pretty much screwed up one nostril with infection and scarring (even with the proper amount of care) I was nervous to get another one done, but Melissa and the rest of the staff made me feel confident and comfortable enough to get it done, and I dont regret it one bit. Melissa (the piercer) was very helpful with care instructions and even checked up on me and my piercing through the healing process. Have a few friends who have had tattoos here, and they are beautiful pieces with no complaints from the people wearing them. :)

I have been a long term customer of Steel Quill Tattoo. I have had piercings and tattoos done there and have never experienced anything I would consider unsafe, unsanitary or unprofessional. I am a real customer and not some fake poster hiding behind a screen with a fake name trying to hurt another business as some of these posters have done. This shop is by far one of the best in town. I have the utmost respect for each and every artist here and am willing to share my tattoos and pictures with anyone who is concerned about the quality here. They are top notch and do top notch work. All of their former apprentices are even successful so that speaks for itself. Carry on now and get tattooed at Steel Quill!

Go to Philly John Campbell! Hes amazing! I went in today and Ive never felt so comfortable getting a tattoo. Ive also never had a large tattoo. He custom designed a sugar skull with a spiderweb and roses around it. Knowing what it feels like to get a thigh tattooed, he was quick and precise. Also, the owner had amazing customer service. When he would notice the tattoo was in a sensitive area, he would make a funny joke or sing what the playlist was on. I cant wait to go back and get another tattoo! Melissa is absolutely wonderful! I went in for a left daith piercing to relieve migraine headaches. I walked in with a headache and walked out without one. The entire staff their was super friendly and helpful! Melissa explained everything to me and made the whole process so easy and pretty pain free. I went back a week later to do the right daith piercing and will go back to Steel Quill for any other body modifications!

Awesome! This was my first tattoo and was really nervous, however Tony made sure to walk me thru step by step and made sure my first experience was fun and relaxed. He did not rush thru it and my tattoo looks great!!!!! I absolutely love love love it and everyone at the shop was great fun! Would highly recommend, cause, theyve got skills!

Tony is a fantastic tattooer. Fun friendly atmosphere. I got a coverup on my right leg and it turned out to be an 8 hour job, 3 sessions. Tony took care of me and put some great artwork on my leg. I would recommend him and Mike personally for tats and Melissa is fantastic for piercings and dermals.
