At first I was really thrilled to have found a place that seemed to do things the right way. I liked the idea of doing a consult..allow time for the drawing to be done..come back for a viewing of the drawing..and finally come back for the tattoo to be put on..seemed like a legit process and I was super pumped about getting my tattoo (stained glass jesus ascending into the clouds, right bicep..basically a half sleeve..pretty big tattoo). Tj was mad artist and he drew the tattoo really well and I was very pleased with it and the detail in the drawing. I am not sure what happened in between there and it actually being put on my skin..but it was not done as advertised. I was not able to finish the entire tattoo on one sitting so I decided to tap out and he said he would contact me in a few weeks to finish it provided it was healed enough to finish..knowing that I was leaving for soon on milotary orders..I mentioned it a few times so he was aware..I could have contacted him myself to make an appointment to finish but I did not do so on purpose just to see if he would actually call..of course he didnt and Im glad he didnt. The tattoo looked great in the heat of the moment and while the ink was still fresh and you couldnt really see too much detail or anything else until it healed somewhat. Well now, its healed and I followed the after care instructions to the T and bought their aftercare products..and needless to say the tattoo looks like absolute trash. The detail, line work, shading, eveything is either way too dark..way too light..blotchy..i could keep going on and on..and not to mention he even went outside of the lines like a kid that is learning to color for the first time onto a part of my arm that isnt even included in the tattoo outline..Im not sure if he was just having a bad day..drunk..or just flat out didnt feel like doing tattoos that day..who knows but I do know that it was a complete waste of money and I would never go back to Tj again. Now I am left with a half completed half ass tattoo and have to look for someone else that can hopefully save it and make it look like the drawing that was done in the first place..not pleased at all with the results.

The people were really friendly and welcoming, and the shop was very clean. The lines of my tattoo are well drawn. However, I brought in a design I drew and said "I want this". The artist, Luigi, then drew my design, added a triangle and subtracted a few triangles after saying that the ones he took away wouldnt fit right. I was okay with that. Im glad I had another person with me because once he started the tattoo he added things that werent discussed. Lines were thickened, things were filled in completely black, and if it were not for my friend that came with me saying, "looks good, but youre taking a lot of artistic liberties" to the artist, I wouldnt have known he was changing my design. The filling in and thicker lines werent discussed with me at all. He added what he wanted to my tattoo without asking me first because its what he thought would look best. If asked, I would have told him not to fill in the areas at all and he would have respectfully done so. Now, what once was my original design, is no longer, and it’s on my body forever. Having my own design on my body is very important to me, I drew my other two tattoos and I wanted all the rest to be drawn by me. Upset is an understatement. I understand that as an artist, you want to do what is best for the client and you want to make their tattoo look the best, but that should always be discussed first; it should never be found out by the client mid tattoo. Also, no matter how much an artist thinks it should be one way, it is essentially not their body. So it’s not their choice. Eventually, I wont hate the tattoo so much, but for now, this is not my design and I dread showing it to people. Next time I wont assume the artist will be able to follow the printed out guide that needs to be copied. I would like to add, that aside from the mishap, I loved the shop. I have been to other tattoo shops, for myself and others, and I would not have any problems recommending this shop to anyone seeking a tattoo. I would advise any future tattoo recipients that they thoroughly discuss their tattoo and let the artist know that any changes need to be discussed before ink goes on the body.

I was here for a piercing on 4/26/2015. From the start, this was an easy process. I was able to make an appointment online and was then e-mailed conformation as well as the release forms. I also received reminder e-mails until just before the appointment. When my friend and I walked in, we were greeted immediately. Our piercer was Jon. He was very friendly and welcoming. I felt at ease almost immediately. Jon walked me through the entire process before any procedures began. He showed me the sterilization process of instruments and told me of his hand hygiene techniques. I was sized with the jewelry and then was offered anodization of a color of my liking. There are many to choose from. The jewelry, as well as all other instruments, were placed into the autoclave. Jon was very thorough with marking the correct areas for the piercings. I was able to look at the markings prior to the procedure. When it came time for the nitty gritty, Jon opened the instruments in front of me so that I knew they had not been touched prior to this. He used an antimicrobial scrub for hand washing and donned sterile gloves. I was explained that my mental well being was also a priority and Jon walked me through relaxation techniques with breathing. Whilst I anticipated pain, Jon made it easier to deal with. He was careful to make sure I was doing well mentally and physically before he would let me stand. Once I convinced him that I was not going to pass out, I again got to check out my newest editions in the mirrors. Jon then went over the after care regiment with me and stressed the importance of the salt soaks and keeping the piercings clean. He offered that I had any troubles or questions, that I was welcome to call him. This studio accepts credit cards which makes it convenient for not needing cash. I had a 100% awesome experience here and would return as a customer. I will also recommend this place to anyone that is thinking of getting a piercing! Thanks Jon!!!

My wife and I got tattoos here 2 weeks ago and it was the best tattoo experience I’ve had personally. After doing research online and reading all of the amazing reviews we decided to give East Coast Worldwide our business and I couldn’t be much happier. We showed up on a Sunday night, late after all the other tattoo shops in Jacksonville were closed, and were greeted within 2 or 3 minutes but all we wanted at the time was to look through portfolios and to scope out how clean and well put together the shop was. After about 15 minutes James came down and asked us if we needed help and I pitched him my idea for a hand tattoo and a couples tattoo with my wife. He explained to me some of the cons of getting a hand tattoo but he also sounded pretty excited to do the work, so he said if we decided to choose him then we should make an appointment and send him reference pictures and explain in detail what we were looking for. I immediately went home and made the appointment for 4 days later, during those 4 days any time I had a question I emailed James and he responded with the answers. On the big day he had everything waiting and he showed me the picture and his ideas which I agreed on and he got to work. During the session I got to know him a little bit and was both honored and pleasantly surprised to find out that James, like me, is an Army veteran and to hear that he got his career started on deployment issuing fellow soldiers tattoos to take their minds off the deployment was absolutely phenomenal. I’m not the guy who goes to the same artist every time I get a tattoo, and I’ve had tattoos done in 11 different stated and 2 different countries, but I would gladly return to get more work done.
