Cybertron Video Games has alot of content to offer for the consumer. However I would suggest not to buy any brand new games from them that have been out for a very short duration. Recently I bought a copy of a brand new game that came out within a week after its launch. Immediately after I purchased the game I noticed that the game was a European copy and not a US copy. Even though my system isnt region locked, I still prefer to have the US copy of any game unless it is a region exclusive. The store associate said in a snarky way "oh well..." and that really ticked me off. I ended up selling the game on Ebay a few days later and with the money I purchased a US copy off of a person on Ebay. It has been nearly a month since I purchased the game and Cybertron still only has European copies of that specific game. On top of that it has taken quite a while to get that game that I ordered off of Ebay due to complications with Paypal holding my money for a week and a half (another story....) It irritates me that they market any region game for one specific game without telling the consumer before they buy the game that it is of another region. I understand that they may have had only European copies of that game in stock, but they could have at least told me before I bought the game. I learned a lesson to never buy a game from them that has only been out for a month or so. Next time Ill just stick to a mainstream retailer or just buy the game off of the digital store even if it costs a few more bucks out of my pocket. As for pre owned games and consoles it is a great place to buy new games from in comparison to other stores. It is also a good place to get accessories for games that are hard to find. One thing I advise is to analyze the case of the product before you buy it. If something seems off like it is of another country or the casing looks different I advise not to buy it. I have also had instances where I have gotten region bootleg copies of games from this store. I might sound a bit OCD about this, but as a gamer I want 100% authentic games.

First off, this review is based on one experience I had at the store. Cybertron is an amazing retro game store with great prices and an awesome staff. I have been going to this place for about 2 years now and love it. The reason this is getting 2 stars is because of a an employee named Kat. I have seen her multiple times and have even checked out with her before. Cybertron has a loyalty card system where if you buy at least $15 worth of games, you get a stamp. When you get 10 stamps, you get a free game worth up to $20. I have been going to this place once every few weeks for awhile now and had saved up my 10 stamps. After using the card on one game and buying another, I went to go look at more games in the store until she called me back to tell me that she believed the card had fake stamps. I have no proof of how they would be real as I do not keep the receipts and some of these stamps are well over a month old. She then proceeds to ask other staff members what they think of it. Meanwhile, Im left standing there, in front of other customers, feeling like a criminal and embarrassed because of the accusation. The gentleman that was helping her even told her that he has seen me multiple times in the store and tried to give me the benefit of the doubt, but Kat did not want to hear it and kept pushing that the card was a fake. She even involved other customers by taking their stamp cards to try and prove mine was fake. I eventually just paid for the games because I did not feel like being criminalized any longer and left in a terrible mood. The icing on top was that the gentleman who was helping her said to give me an extra 3 stamps, but when she checked me out, she said she would only give 2 stamps. At this point, I was just frustrated and wanted to leave. If you ever go to this store and you see a young white girl with glasses, short black hair, and a tattoo on her left front thigh just do yourself a favor and stay away from her. The other employees are all super nice and are willing to help you with anything.

This place is alright. The owner is kind of weird and is very specific with some things. Theres usually random things he wont sell, they had a R.O.B. laying around and wouldnt sell it. Hes very particular in the sense that when you have a lot of trade in value he doesnt like it if you buy an expensive game with credit, even though they market the trade in credit as good as cash at their store, it isnt. They wont sell extra boxes and manuals they have which any decent store for collectors do. Theyve also lied about what theyre going to sell something at when I trade it in so they can give me less credit only to find that the next time I go in its on the shelf for 5-10x what they paid me and 3-5x what they said theyd sell it for. All that being said this store has some friendly workers and a good game selection. The prices are very hit or miss, sometimes they are below ebay prices, other times above but overall Ive seen much worse. They have warranties on the retro games which is a good thing and theyll switch out save batteries for you and such if you cant do it yourself. Long story short, this is the best game shop in Orlando, for better or worse. Edit: after visiting this place again I changed my review to a 1 star. The quality of the employees has dropped significantly. When asking how much things were rung up as when I was checking out the girl behind the counter got extremely snarky and started mocking me saying "yeah we steal money here thats what we do". Another guy told me my games I wanted to trade in were worthless and theyd only sell them for a dollar. When I looked it up and pointed out the inconsistencies he backtracked and said "well not literally a dollar but you know". Incredibly unprofessional all around. Save your money and buy on eBay, prices are better anyway.

I have been a retro gamer for a very long time (Started gaming when the 2600 was new). And I used to buy a lot from this guy when he was in Flea World. And I am trying to test the waters to see if I should get back into the hobby. So I stopped by here. I bought a few games and one of them was gunked up in the contacts (with Brasso residue). So I asked if they could clean the game a little better. And they had no problem in doing so. I was shocked when the employee pulled out a nail polish file and got to work on the contacts. THEN he finished it off with Brasso! I couldnt believe it... Guys, you do NOT clean cartridge contacts with a nail file and Brasso! That is a NO NO! And with your "rare" games in the cabinet (which are priced a little too high), you really should clean them up some, get the old sticker residues and dust off, and clean them properly. If you are going to charge so much for them at least make them presentable. Please. I hate to see these games treated like this. On a positive note, the employees are friendly. They just need to learn how to properly take care of their merch. I hate to say it, and I thought I would never feel this way. But eBay may be the best place to buy old games. Because with the few retro shops we do have in Orlando, none of them has made me say "hey, I think Ill get back into collecting retro games" And thats a sad day for me...
