Good selection of sporting goods fairly priced. Close to Bass Pro Shoos, but not as expensive for the same or similar products. Only thing I dont recommend is their brand if bar b que grills. Had one of their Triton combination gas and smoker grills. It rusted out ( and was covered) in one year. Didnt have year old receipt ,but manager did refund lowest price grill was listed for since it was discontinued. I received half of what I paid on a gift card. Not thrilled but at the same time they did do something. New grills only had 90day or 1 year warrenties on new grills. Other stores have 5 year warrenties in burners and 1year on box. Other than this one incident Ive been happy with their products and services.

I ordered an in stock bike for my daughter online with 3-5 day shipping. Its been 10 days and the item is still pending. I called their customer service and they cannot tell me when it will ship, which is a problem. If they ship it to us over Christmas the box will just be sitting on our porch while we are visiting relatives up North and will likely be stolen. I tried to cancel the order and was told I could not, even though the item is still pending and hasnt even shipped. I asked for a manager and they just left me on hold for an hour until I gave up. If you want undelivered items and useless customer support buy at Academy.

Great place for Sporting goods , great prices. Its Saturday 21 January 17 Just returned from Academy Sports in Palm Bay Florida. Its 80 miles from my home one way. Theres a big reason for me to travel to and from this particular store. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, GREAT SELECTIONS,SUPER GREAT FOLKS, WONDERFUL MANAGEMENT TEAM, one of the management team, (CINDY) helped me with a couple of things today, shes totally AWESOME , bent over backwards to help me. Its people like her that makes a big difference in the world. I guess theyre stuck with me as a regular customer. Palm Bay Store, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Bought supplement online, the website never asked for my address, it just pulled from somewhere in my computer an old one that didnt doesnt exist, no idea how it came up with that number... They didnt even have a screen to review your order. I got in contact with the store less than 1 hour later to try to change it, but they said they couldnt change it or cancel it. They told me to call fedex to change the delivery address, but guess what? Only the shipper can change it. So i paid for something that i will never receive. Way to go Academy sports!!!!!!!!!!

Dont buy a gun here! We purchased a pistol and after opening realized it had obvious phyiscal defects (deformed metal). Tried to take it back next day and they said they wouldnt help and wed have to deal directly with SW for the mfg defect. These people are rude and not helpful at all. This is not a reputable gun store and customer service is not existent. Highly recommend going elsewhere.

We visited here a while ago and then I forgot about it. We went back recently and now this will be our go to outdoor store. Its even better than Bass Pro, which used to be our #1 store in the area. The only problem is the "shopping center" where it is located. Its an absolute maze. I hate the shopping center, but will endure that problem because the store is worth the effort.

Every time I have visited Academy Sports I have been asked if I needed help finding anything and the service there was more than adequate. With great pricing and specials running on all sorts of things from ammo to sportswear it has become a One-Stop shop for any indoor outdoor sports and camping needs for me.

This is the first Academy Sports & Outdoors weve ever been to, and since they opened a couple of months ago weve already been here about 6 times. We love the selection and the prices. Its become our one-stop-shop for everything we do as a family: hiking, camping, swimming, tennis... And the staff are amazing!

Cant believe I havent reviewed until now! Academy offers a solid selection (not quite as good as round-the-block-competitors!) at a much better price. Apparel and ammunition in particular are very reasonably priced for the quality. Definitely recommend this place!

Firearm selection and displays are nice. Everything else in the store is run of the mill fitness equipment and clothing. Originally came to the store for a speedo fitness swim board. Onine said in stock and when i got there it wasnt.
