When Tequesta Coffee Lounge first opened, the concept was great. I was excited that a local family business (support local!) was providing coffee, bakery goods, and breakfast items to the small town of Tequesta. Upon many of my initial visits, I was impressed with the presentation of your product as well as your staffs attention to detail. Unfortunately, this has changed and people are beginning to talk about it. I find that within the past 6 months, there is always one person in the kitchen who seems too overwhelmed and is often asking the front staff member to repeat the orders. Most of my orders are simple and I find that waiting for an egg on a bagel to-go can be a 10-15 minute wait (and that was when I was the only person there, its even longer when busier). The staff that work in the front do not seem to know the menu as well as they should and on top of that, they do not take the time to listen to the customers when they are ordering. Myself and many others have ended up repeating our orders back to them 3 or 4 times which is irritating. This review is not meant to be malicious in any way. My hope, if anything, is that the owners read this and can understand their company from a loyal customers perspective. You should always want to know how to make your business better, right? A simple way to differentiate your company from the massive coffee conglomerates is to offer great service with a great product and add that small town charm in the mix. I find myself stopping at Starbucks more often on the way to work now. Your customers (local and beyond) need consistency when they return again and again. Thats what can make the Tequesta Coffee Lounge a destination spot instead of a pit-stop for a cup of joe.

First trip there the food was good, went today and was very disappointed. Waited 20 minutes for a panini, looked into the kitchen in time to see it being microwaved. It was not worth eating, this is a perfect example why there is NO place for a microwave in a "professional" kitchen.

Perk Coffee House just opened (Jan 2017) at this location; we had a good experience. My wife had a latte and really enjoyed it. We also had lunch wraps and a very generous grilled cheese for our 3 year old. Give them a try. Well be back.

Omigosh. Staff is very friendly, lots of breathing room, cold brew comes out of a tap. Kelly was most kind!
