I called the shop today to ask if they had Formula 420. The first time I called, it rang twice and went to a busy signal. The called right back...it rang twice, then went to a fax machine. Determined, I called a third time, finally reaching the lady behind the counter. I asked if they had any Formula 420. She told me they didnt. I asked if they would be getting any within the next week or so...she told me they wouldnt. After a line of questions, she finally released what seemed to be top secret information: They dont stock Formula 420. Of course, I asked why she didnt tell me that in the first place, but I digress...I asked what products they DID stock, and she told me of the two glass cleaners they did have available. I asked which product shed recommend, and she suggested "Grunge Off". Lastly, I asked if they carried the 200-ft. rolls of Bee Line hemp wick -- they do -- and I asked the price of it -- theyre $20. Throughout the whole conversation, the lady on the phones demeanor became increasingly irritated, so I told her, "Ill quit wasting your time and let you get back to your job!" to which she responded, "Perfect!" .................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. The smoke shop is great -- Ive been there in the past. They have a huge selection of quality pieces from local artists, with good prices to boot!...but this phone call was enough for me to refuse to purchase from them again until they have someone handling their storefront that appreciates his/her job (and the customers that provide a reason to answer the phone) enough to show -- at the very least -- a hint of customer service skills while representing the company over the phone.

Very disappointing experience. As one of the "most prestigious" shops in Tampa, I expected much more. Ive driven three times from new port richey to spend my money with Recked. With that being said, I thought it was worth the troubles. My original visit was okay, I met with the lady that works there, and I requested the Toro Grail XL. As a newb, I expected it to be the standard single slit, and instead was a three slit. I did not check before I left, and did not realize this until I was all the way back home. I called and spoke to the lady , who informed me that once you leave, you cannot return. Disgruntled but understanding, I went a few days later and met with the owner. I asked, if at the least, I could return the carb cap and use as store credit. Although he initially denied, he later allowed me to use the $50 credit on my next purchase. Excited to put a full toro set together, I came back on the days he informed me that he would be working, and unfortunately he was no where to be found. A different lady was working, and to be frank, she was by far the most pleasant to work with. She contacted the owner, and the owner informed her that she would be able to do the Toro rig that I liked for $450. Today, I went in to purchase, with my Carb Cap and $400 cash in hand, and I was informed that I would have to spend $450 and surrender the carb cap, which was not agreed upon. With all of the driving back and fourth and hassle for me to spend my money with them, and the fact that multiple other shops have the same rig for less - only downside is shipping, I do not believe I will step into this shop again unless I absolutely have to. Without name dropping, I can think of a smoke shop dedicated to quality, and also a smoke shop dedicated to custom service, in the Tampa Bay Area, regrettably neither of those two shops is named Recked.

I have been to this shop at least 50 times over the last 3 years and most times i am treated with respect and professionalism. However, after todays experience, I will not be coming back to this place. It is one thing when you sell an item with a 100% mark up on the price. Its a completely different subject when the young lady working there starts insulting me for pointing out the outrageous price difference. At first, I was laughing about how they are selling the item for twice as much as it is sold any and every where else. My laughter quickly turned to puzzling looks when the woman went out of her way to address the other people shopping in the store over the discussion of price difference. If she was trying to alienate me, she failed. The only thing she alienated was her store from my future purchases... She was unbelievably rude and passive aggressive..... July 13th..

Always friendly, great knowledge of products, huge variety of high quality merchandise at a reasonable price...One of a kind pieces from local glass blowers makes your pipe or water pipe like no other also wooden pipes,dugouts, plastic water pipes, bubblers, hide aways and any kind of scale...enormous selection of wrap flavors,brands,and types from cigar, to flat, to paper, to filtered tubes, cones, and even clear...also tobacco and lots of hooka flavors...all kinds of containers and cases...vaporizers from little handheld ones to large ones with tubes or bags, all size grinders, lighters from cheepos to bics to zippos...etc,etc,etc...I just named tons of things and I KNOW Im forgetting stuff...go check them out on W Waters in TownnCountry...even if youre far off, its worth the drive!! Seriously, if an ex employee of six yrs ago still promotes its gta be pretty good! :)

I cant begin to describe how happy I am that a friend recommended me to this shop. While the entrance to the shop seems very unassuming, the inside will instantly change your opinion. Not only do they have high quality tobacco pipes and accessories, their paper and vaporizer selection is quite impressive. What was expected to be a 5 minute visit ended up being an hour long ordeal with a very knowledgable girl named Starr. She helped me find exactly what I wanted and gave me information about some products that I look forward to getting in the future. Starr was not only knowledgable but very friendly and professional. I look forward to visiting this shop the next time Im in South Florida. 10/10

recked is the #1 smoke shop in fla. they have a large slection of merchandise and the ladies there are always nice an helpful. have read a couple of reviews from weak people talking about their bad experiances an have to laugh. these people cheap crap then they should go to the habib store an stay out of places they cant afford.just cause you cant afford it dont cry about it. an for those who dont like the service, you suck. you come in with bad attitudes complaining about high prices i wouldnt want you in my store either. This is the only shop i go to. Hope all you Recked fans have a great day.

If youre trying to find some glass with class, Recked Smoke Shop is the place to go. Not only do they have a wide variety of selections but the workers (Corey, Starr and Ashley) are very polite and know what they are talking about. Recked Smoke Shop has some of the nicest pieces Ive ever seen. Also, I love how the employees recognize customs, sometimes even by name, it makes me (as a customer) feel welcomed and appreciated. Not only do they sell pieces but they also have an amazing selection of insents, hookahs and sheesha.
